I had no idea I needed a little Rocky Mountain Cowboy in my life until I picked up this book. Steve freaking Springfield hit the spot, man. The guy is solid and insanely sweet and I liked him.

You know who else liked him? Camille. Quiet, socially awkward Camille. She had it bad for the guy even before they started interacting again. And once she saw that her high school memories of him have only gotten better with age, she was a goner.

Of course, she still had the socially awkward thing to deal with. Which meant she babbled when he came close and got antsy when surrounded by people. All things Steve found endearing, actually.

Heck, these two were just cute together. Throw in Steve's BRILLIANT children (and their sometimes dangerous ideas) and you have a solid, quirky family. As a bonus (you know, if you're not socially awkward and prone to nervous babbling), Steve comes with a slew of brothers and a picture perfect Christmas tree ranch.

Yeah, Camille was a goner. She and Steve might have had to fight through a little danger to get to their happy place, but the best things in life are worth fighting for, amirite?!?!

One of my favorite stories of 2018. I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas. I think this story is delightful and very interesting .
It's such a well written story. The characters are just so real . I found myself chuckling alot through out this story. This story is very suspenseful and definitely full of intrigue . I was pulled into the story right from the start . Katie Ruggle is a new author to me but I will definitely be reading more of her stories.
I really enjoyed the entire story.
I love the interactions and great moments of Steve's children and Camille. I also enjoy Steve and Camille's
budding relationship. Let me just say (WOW! I didn't see that coming .) Once you read this story you'll understand that comment . I highly recommend you taking the time to read this story.

I absolutely loved this story. I started reading it immediately and finished it that same day. This is the story of  firefighter Steve Freaking Springfield and Camile Brandt.

Artist Camile lives a quiet solitary life until Steve changed things.

Steve moves back town with his four kids to his family's Colorado Christmas Tree Ranch so his kids can live a safe life. Little did he know danger would follow.

Camile always had a crush on Steve he was so nice, kind and brave. Soon after reconnecting she is falling for him and his wonderful children. Mysterious fires start breaking out and they have to keep their family safe and together.

This was a great story Camile and Steve are great together and I love his kids. You should really check out this book and really this whole series. I hope there will be more to come. I love how Katie spins a tale that is so believeable and characters that are so real you feel like you know them. I received a free ARC from Netgalley and here is my honest review. This book has been on my wishlist and I will definetly be recommending it to my family and friends.

This is the second book I have read by this author and I am so glad I found her. The writing style is so believable you feel you are right there with everyone. Tragic finds its way into the story but you only find out you are stronger and can get through it. Steve having to raise his four children alone moves back to his hometown and finds a love he never figured he would have. Camille rather feels alone and likes it when she doesn't have to talk to a lot of different people. A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start.

Katie Ruggle always knows how to reel her readers in; great characters, fabulous world building and a captivating plot, will do it every time. Steve and Camille’s story is packed with fun, awkwardness, four fabulous kids, and finding a future where you least expect it. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a HEA.

I'm a big Katie Ruggle fan and have loved all the series she's written lately. At first, I was confused to learn that this was a new series. I swore we'd met Steve before and that this was still part of the K9 series, but then began second-guessing myself. But then Monroe is mentioned and it hit me then that this was a spin-off series. So yay for a new series and a character we know to kick it off!

This book was cute, funny, suspenseful and had some quirky characters with big personalities. I loved Steve and Camille as characters and adored the children.

Steve is a firefighter and widowed single dad to his 4 kids. He's moved back home to help run his family's Christmas tree farm/ranch and provide his family with a safe place to live (if you read the K9 series, you know it wasn't exactly safe in that town either). He has three brothers who live and work on the ranch with him and I love that everyone does their jobs without complaint or hesitation, even the kids pitch in.

Camille is the resident town recluse and some would even call her weird. She's socially awkward, hates crowds (and people), but is a brilliant artist/sculptor. She's had a crush on Steve since she was an even more awkward teen, so when she runs into him, she fumbles her way through seeing him again. Of course, Steve turned out to be equally as awkward and shy lol. They were way too adorable.

Something happens that forces Camille to move to Steve's ranch and they grow very close during their time together. She becomes a pseudo-mother and friend to his kids and generally, everyone loves her and having her around. But not everyone is happy that she's with Steve...

So the villain in this one honestly shocked me. I thought I had it figured out the entire book (kudos to the author for leading us one way and then tricking us). I was wrong and didn't even see that one coming ... I still don't know what to think about it or how things played out. I'm sure we'll get an update on this character in the next book though.

One of my favorite things about this book are the kids. I love when there are kids in a book who have great and unique personalities. Steve's kids make you fall for them right away. They were certainly all different and I loved that their differences were celebrated and encouraged (as long as it was safe lol).

I can't wait for more books in this series!

Camille and Steve's story. After reading this author's series set in small town Colorado, I was happy to read this one, that has single father Steve returning to his home town. While I liked the other stories, it is nice to see a branch off in a new direction as well. Steve has three brothers, so possibly more stories to come. Ok, in this one, the story begins with Steve on a search and rescue mission to find Camille, who is reported by her neighbor as being missing. She is not, although she hates attention and crowds and basic conversation skills are lacking in the shy woman. When the search and rescue team descends upon her, she gets overwhelmed, but Steve helps by distracting the team away from her. She is an artist, collecting scrap metal for her work, and when Steve's brother asks her to make some to sell in their shop she agrees. The brothers run a Christmas tree farm. Enjoyed this story, even the creepy stalker storyline. Would highly recommend this story, and hope to see more in this new series. Enjoyed Steve's kids too, and want to see more about them. Good read and good author.

I have been impatiently waiting for a book about Steve Springfield since we saw him in the Search and Rescue series of books along with the quick glimpse in the K9 series as well. I am so glad that we get his book now. Steve has moved home to his family's Christmas tree Ranch in Colorado in the hopes it will be a safer environment for his 4 children. After the last couple of towns had some major issues he just wants his kids to be somewhere he knows they will be safe. He never expected to run into a girl he knew (and liked) from high school. Or to still feel a pull towards her. Camille Brandt is a folk artist and what most of the town consider an eccentric and strange. She's used to being alone and having people think she's weird. Meeting Steve again starts to change things for her though. And being around his kids changes things even more. Neither one will guess just how much their lives will change, or what they will have to go through in order to be together.

I loved this book!! I was truly hoping that when he got a book it would do him justice and boy did this book do that for me! Both of these characters are great! Steve is one of those strong, loyal, loving and yet protective men who aren't afraid to step in do what needs doing. Even when he isn't sure or if he is scared he is completely wrong, he still tries and does a dang good job of it too! Camille is definitely different but she just fits with not only Steve but his kids as well. They compliment each other in ways that you wouldn't expect but makes you keep reading long past the time you should be sleeping LOL! I couldn't put this book down once I started it. And then you throw in the twists that are in it. I definitely didn't expect any of what happens to be caused by who it is! This book makes me hope we get books for his brothers and then maybe his kids when they are grown! Loved it!!

I have read other stories this author has written, and she didn't disappoint with this book. It has romance, humor and suspence. I like how Steve's children get along right away with Camille, it makes the story more enjoyable to read. The author did a good job developing both the hero and the heroine between Camille's awkward and Steve's hero personality. The only thing I wish was that " mystery fires" was more pronounced in the book, but I fully enjoyed reading this book and would like to read the others in the series when they become available.

What i really liked about this book is how much the kids liked Camille. Totally never would have suspected that was who was watching her. Steve and Camille was great together. The kids were awesome and fun. I think if you like a story that catches you from the begining till the end this would be for you. Steve and Camille seem to have such a great instant connection

"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."

Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!

I thought this was a cute story.
I almost put it down as there was not enough drama or intrigue for me.
I did feel that it would have been a better read with a little more of the "Mystery Firefighter" that was in the picture. Did he set the fire? Did he do other things? I did like the twist at the end.

Had there been more intrigue I would have rated it higher. I have no doubt that there are thousands that will enjoy this book.

When Steve Springfield relocated his family for the second time in only a few months, he thought his hometown would be safe from killers and criminals...Unfortunately, he didn't count with the safety of his own heart, as an old highschool acquaintance sparks the embers of passion and love his long ago though extinguished.

But someone obviously doesn't want Steve to have a second chance at happily-ever-after, and that someone is apparently willing to resort to drastic measures to be noticed...

Ooh, another great story from the pen/keyboard of Katie Ruggle.

Sure, the heroine was rather similar to another before her with her eccentricities and hermit-like behavior, and her quirkiness and social awkwardness got a little stale toward the end, but it provided laughter and smiles, so I'm happy.
The hero remained quite a mystery through the entire proceedings as the story focused more on the heroine growing into her butterfly wings, but still, the romance worked rather nicely without the dreaded feelings of rush and haste.

The secondary characters also provided some comic relief (although Camille's nosy and gossipy neighbor was an annoying menace and the lack of resolution on the front of "slut-shaming" left a little hole in the story), Steve's children were wonderfully perfect, and the suspense was intriguing, keeping the reader guessing with a few misleads and a big red-herring thrown into the mix.
I certainly didn't see the real "villain" coming, although I felt his motive was a tad too far fetched.

If this really turns out to be a series (as advertised), I'm looking forward to more.

While I love this series and highly recommend it, I think this is my favorite so far. I have always found Steve and his kids interesting in previous books and I was not disappointed. I loved how socially awkward Camille was and how wonderful she and the kids were together. The author did a great job showing each of the kids personalities but having everyone mesh as a whole. Steve and Camille are so cute together and had a great love story. The ending was very surprising for me but I love when that happens so it just made everything better. I look forward to more of this series.

Rocky Mountain Christmas introduces us to Steve and Camille. Camille is a metal sculptor who is a tad eccentric and a bit antisocial. Steve is a widowed father of four who is a volunteer firefighter and co-owner of the family Christmas tree farm. The author does an amazing job of developing both characters as well as Steve’s kids who readers are bound to love! In addition to the unusual love story, a little mystery is woven into the story. While it may be a bit different from the usual holiday romance, it is a welcome diversion!

5 Hearts, RECOMMENDED READ
SJ--Romance Junkies

Katie Ruggle is a go-to for small-town, romantic suspense with complex characters and intriguing mysteries. Ruggle has done it again with her newest romantic suspense, ROCKY MOUNTAIN COWBOY CHRISTMAS.

Steve Springfield, firefighter and single dad, was introduced in the Rocky Mountain K9 series, and I'd thought he'd be the last book in that series. Instead Ruggle introduced a female officer in THROUGH THE FIRE. The heroine in this story, like the hero in THROUGH THE FIRE, has a few personality quirks which endear her to the reader.

Steve moved from a dangerous Monroe, Colorado to settle back at home, working with his brothers at their Colorado Christmas Ranch, a family-owned business. Steve works as a volunteer firefighter and fulltime dad. His wife passed years ago, and he's doing his best to raise four children on his own. At the ranch, he figures his family will be safe and cared for.

Camille Brandt is an artist and anti-social. It's not that she doesn't like people, but she doesn't feel comfortable in social situations. She remembers Steve though, since she had a major crush on him back in high school. He's just as handsome and kind as she remembers, and she's just as awkward around him.

As some strange occurrences happen, and some fires start springing up during the holiday season, Camille grows closer to Steve and his family. But danger is stalking her happiness, and the culprit is closer than anyone thinks.

Ruggle is a master at building suspense and hiding the villain until the very end. I wondered but wasn't sure who was guilt. The romantic tension was perfect, two different people reconnecting and building a sweet, believable romance. That the children are an integral part of the plot only made the romance richer.

An outstanding romantic suspense set at Christmas that will warm your heart. Don't miss ROCKY MOUNTAIN COWBOY CHRISTMAS.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved both the hero and heroine and all the kids were wonderful. Great addition to the series.

Hilarious, wonderful, and twisty. Katie Ruggle’s K9 series is a delight and this latest instalment is no exception. I just loved Steve and Camille. They are just wonderful together and the four kids were fabulously written. And the Christmas theme was just exactly the way you want it to be.
The one downside was the lack of dog. It’s a K9 series, but this book has no member of the K9 team.
Other than that a wonderful Christmas book.

I have read other books by this author, and I appreciate how she allows the romance to develop. I also liked the developing relationship between the heroine and the hero's children. The children had wonderful personalities, and I liked the family dynamic. I would read more books featuring the extended family.

Are you ready for a Christmas romance? In Rocky Mountain Cowboy Christmas, single dad Steve Springfield rediscovers artist Camille Brandt. After losing his wife, Steve, a single dad of four delightful children moves back to his family ranch. Steve is a volunteer firefighter that saves the day when Camille’s house burns to the ground. The town thinks Camille is a weird hermit. However, Camille is a quirky artist that works with junk metal and creates beautiful masterpieces. She enjoys solitude and is very shy. She sells some of her art at Steve’s family ranch which sells Christmas trees and decorations. Steve and Camille find themselves drawn to each other.
This book is filled with “giggle humor”. I didn’t quite laugh out loud, but I did giggle quite a lot at the antics of the characters. Katie Ruggle developed unique characters I wanted to be friends with and get to know. Steve’s kids are amazingly creative and funny. There are a few twists in the book I didn’t see coming, but I would categorize this book as a romance not a suspense. The book has very loose ties with Katie Ruggle’s series Rocky Mountain K-9 series, so you might recognize some references if you have read that series.

I enjoyed this easy read and hope you will too!
