overall I enjoyed this book, but at times a little frustrated about how Jamie is treated like a child. She is suppose to be 26, but others around her treat her like she is 18. Gideon is about 10 years older, and at times he acts like he is 20 years older. Other than that though, I enjoyed the story and especially the interaction of Jamie with the cranky old man and the dogs. Good story, and one I highly recommend.

I received a copy from NetGalley; this is my honest review. #DriftwoodCreek #NetGalley
-The author is very good at describing everything using the five senses.
-The author also insinuates details/information here and there; it fits with the context and it's not too heavy for the story.
-Gideon and Jamie, despite everything, make a good couple. He calms her and she takes him out of his comfort zone a bit at a time.
-Sometimes, I think, someone should have put Jamie in her place. She's nosy, she doesn't back off, etc. She's 26 not 13.
-This time there were more guests present - that we know of because certainly, they have a full schedule.
-There are other romances going around, hopefully preparing for future books.
-Lots of drama but realistic and understandable. Good finale but the work is not finished yet. Everyone will have to take it one day at a time.
-Author's belief? "Every living thing, no matter how small or insignificant, deserved a chance to grow and thrive. To live, reproduce itself, and die.".
-Funny: "People eat horses?" My mother-in-law is French and eats ground horse regularly. I tasted it to please her but like Duke, gross.
