Fans of the Jonathan Grave series by bestselling author, John Gilstrap, will want to pick up another excellent installment – number 10, Scorpion Strike. In this action packed thriller, the suspense begins to build almost immediately as Jonathan Graves and fellow operative, Gail Bonneville, are at a luxury resort off the coast of Mexico, when Russian mercenaries start what may end up being a global war. As is his usual, Graves thwarts their attack and disappears into the jungle.
Gilstrap has a talent for storytelling, and keeping readers on the edge. He is able to insert scenarios that in real life wouldn’t be viable, but are actually believable as he weaves his tale. He is also excellent at developing his characters. While most readers will have read the previous novels, Gilstrap adds enough information that Graves and the main sub-characters are understandable and seem real. Graves seem to always be in trouble, or getting someone else out of trouble.
All told, Gilstrap has presented another excellent thriller that will prove that he is an excellent writer and knows how to write novels that keep suspense/thriller lovers reading and unable to put the books down.
Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I was unable to read this book due to download difficulties. I was unable to get this resolved with NetGalley as their support services didn't provide any assistance.

Gilstrap has always been an innovative and edgy writer, and this book doesn't disappoint. There was more than one instant where I gasped involuntarily, and I was hooked until the wee hours of the morning... on a work day, no less. I will always read his books, and recommend them to you, as well! Well worth the time.
