Absolutely LOVED this book!!! Loved the chemistry between Beck and Sam even though they both tried to fight it. Loved Lila and how she manipulated the situation to get Beck and Sam together. LOVED reading about all the other brothers; can't wait to read their stories!

My only hesitation with giving this story 5 stars is that I feel like I've read Beck's back story before. I even went back through to make sure I hadn't read another book by this author and was confusing the two. There is another book by another author that the Thorne Brother's story nearly duplicates and for that reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of five. If I hadn't read the other book by the other author this would be 5 stars.

Give It Up, by Lee Kilraine is an entertaining contemporary romance, and it's the first book in The Thorne Brothers series.

Beckett Thorne is the oldest of six brothers, and they had a rough childhood that split them apart. Five of the six brothers were reunited and built their construction company called Six Brothers Construction. As the oldest, Beckett is determined to have their company succeed, despite secret financial difficulties.

While attempting to secure their company with a lucrative project, Beckett re-encounters Samantha Devine, who has her own design business called Devine Designs. She is struggling to have her company succeed and to finally receive her father's approval. In order to claim this new expensively productive project, Beckett and Samantha are personally pitted against each other.

Of course, Beckett and Samantha met years ago, during a short one-night stand involvement. Now, they are back together and constantly arguing throughout the process. However, their attraction overrules and eventually leads to Beckett and Samantha together. Their families, particularly the Thorne brothers, are seriously involved in this story, which includes a family surprise. I'm looking forward to reading future books in The Thorne Brothers series.

Give It Up is recommended and geared towards those who enjoy reading modern romances.

This was my first book by Lee Kilraine and certainly will not be my last!. This is the first book in this new series about 6 brothers who own their own construction business (hello hot construction worker stereotype!). I had no trouble getting into this title - the two main characters Beckett (one of the hot six) and Samantha both work in the construction/interior design business. Boy meets girl, must work with girl, and whoa there are sparks. Nothing about this is surprising, but enjoyable just the same.

Let me start off by saying I have read (and loved) all previous books by Lee Kilraine. This is the first book in this new series about 6 brothers who own their own construction business. (I am already looking forward to the next ones!!) This one took me a few chapters to fully get into it, but once I did, I loved this story!
Beckett and Samantha both work in the construction/interior design business. They have met previously (that’s all I’m saying) and now don’t really get along well. A lady has them go against each other to design her new home. Let’s just say WHOA!!! Here is where it gets good! These two characters were very easy to love and I greatly enjoyed them.

I loved this book. Being an NC girl this book captivated me from the moment I saw it was my state. I felt a connection with Sam and the trials she faced. I was full of emotion with the power struggles throughout. I love that there may be a second story.

This is the first book I've read by, Lee Kilraine. I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to read the next Thorne Brothers book. They are all very different, so their stories should be unique.

Beck's woman has no problem calling him out, "you heard me. That wasn’t ***, that was servicing. I want a do-over. Right now.” Beck you know, sometimes acts like a wild animal, “I want ,” I growled and hauled her in and made wild, desperate love to her." Beck just can't handle his woman's anger at times, “ouch.” He grabbed my finger in his hand. “First, stop poking me, woman. Those nails feel a lot better when you’re scratching them down my back instead of stabbing me in the chest.” I liked this book, I liked that Sam challenged Beck.
