Hot & Heavy by Tracy Wolff is a good fit for readers looking for a lighthearted and steamy romance between a rule-breaking football player and a dedicated yoga teacher.

There's a line in this book where the h says "I'm sorry for punishing you" to the H, and I'd also like an apology.

This book has no plot, a judgmental heroine, and a third act breakup that added nothing to the story.

I love Shawn, I could have taken or left sage. I hate when insecurities ruin how a woman sees herself and controls a book. I really want to like Tracy Wolff but she's just not my favorite. This book was nice but I think I'll avoid requesting her in the future.

Pretty hot stuff!
An adrenaline junkie football player, Shawn, who’s been injured doing one of his crazy stunts and needs to get fit. And a beautiful yoga instructor, Sage, with instructions to help him. The trouble is they’ve met before.
Yep, the chemistry is off the charts as they attempt to attend to Shawn’s problem, which he has the tendency to aggravate.
Great fun.

This was an okay read. There were some raw emotions that always swung to the extremes. I think the ending was a tad rush and The internal conflicts were never quite resolved. It was like the two main characters were battling their own demons that broke them a part and they had internal dialogues, but the next thing I knew they were together, and all was well.

Overall it was an enjoyable read with potential to be more all on its own instead of a standalone story part of a series.

This is a very fast paced read with some wonderful characters that I would love to read more about. There isn’t a lot of drama here but there was enough to make this interesting.

HOT & HEAVY - Tracy Wolff

#2 in the Lightning romance series

HOT! - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - Shawn and Sage meet in a random bar situation, but their immediate explosive chemistry leads them both to act out their fantasies and not their normal actions. It's fun to watch them backtrack a bit and try to get to know each other in a more normal and steady fashion.

Writing - 4 stars - Wolff caught me right from the very first page with the crazy bar scene. She makes us laugh with her descriptions of the bachelorette party and builds a sexy image of the gorgeous guy involved. I especially laughed at his genuine confusion when she didn't respond as most other girls would to his advances. A cute turn of phrase here and there really added to the entertainment.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is where the story shone for me. Shawn is a sexy hunky football player, but he's also a very nice guy. Although he has this adrenaline junkie attitude, it helps him deal with his demons, and that works for me. Sage is his total opposite. She's dealt with her flighty mother her whole life and wants safe and secure, despite her attraction to Shawn.

Title - 4 stars - It works. It sends the message that these two people are going to get in deep, whether they like it or not.

Cover - 4.5 stars - Gorgeous, ripped guy who looks like he's in the midst of action. An excellent choice.

Overall - 4 stars - I very much enjoyed this book and read it in a weekend. The characters are wonderful and appealing, and I was definitely rooting for their success. Although, it was touch and go there for a while because of their extreme differences. I wasn't sure their chemistry would be enough to help their personalities meet in the middle. And it was fun to see the camaraderie between them and characters from the first in this series. My only downside would be that while the sex scenes were hot, they almost went on a little too long. I would have liked a little more backstory, a little more interaction, rather than just jumping into a sexual situation, although their chemistry was, of course, obviously off the charts. A quick and fun read, and I look forward to continuing with this series sooner rather than later.

I’ve read many books by Tracy Wolff and although they have been somewhat hit or miss for me this one was a definite hit! The characters were written beautifully and even though it was a quick read it was great for what it was meant to be.

Sage is an accountant and an yoga instructor by default. Her mom never settled down in one place and when they finally settled down, she is off to India searching for new guru. She loves numbers and stability of being an accountant. So when she had an one night stand with gorgeous hot stuff, it was out of the ordinary.
San Diego's Lightining Shawn is adrenaline junkie who loves extreme sports. He twisted his shoulder some how and it is bothering him and training camp is starting soon and he would like to get it fixed. When Emerson (Hunter's fiancee from first book) recommends yoga, he was skeptical until he finds out who it was. Ever since their one night stand, he couldn't forget about her.
Now they have to work together and it is getting hot and heavy. However they both have issues that really cuts deep for both. They will have to find their way back to each other.

This was quick and fun. I really do like this series. I can't wait to read the next one. Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for ARC in exchange for honest review.

Sage is an accountant and a part time yoga instructor at her mom’s studio. At a bachelorette party she meets a hot stranger and they have sex in a hallway at the bar. She never thinks she will see him again until he shows up at the yoga studio for treatment for shoulder pain. Shawn is a football player and an adrenaline junky. He has injured himself cliff diving and needs help to rehab before the season begins. Sage doesn’t want to help him, but needs the money after her mother cleaned out the business account to pay her guru. They start private sessions, but soon they give in to their attraction. She shares her issues with her mom and they are getting along well until Shawn goes free diving and scares her. After a few days his friends and teammates make him realize the mistake he made and he goes to apologize. He also proposes.

Steamy, sexy and oh-so-hot! Hot & Heavy is a quick and highly enjoyable read with interestingly developed characters and a plot that keeps you turning the pages. Definitely recommended!

Shawn saw her across a crowded bar and their eyes met. Just one moment that would be repeated throughout the night. It would be so easy to take their mutual attraction to the next level since every women fell for him. Sage was different from all the others. She would take that one moment and wonder what happened. A chance meeting changes to improve the pain from a recent cliff diving. She will help him recover and silence the demons of their pasts. Great series on how families can form from shared experiences.

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Since I loved and devoured the first book, Down & Dirty, I just had to ask for Hot & Heavy once I saw it on NetGalley. In it, you will meet Sage and Shawn. Now of course I had my ups and downs with these characters, or even with what they were dealing with throughout the book, but in the end I fell in love with these two. Their chemistry was amazing and the smutty scenes that I got sort of rocked my world.

Sage and Shawn have one thing in common: baggage. Boy, do they. Sage has to deal with her mom, who is crazy, wacky, and loves to spend money on ways to find herself. It just sucks for Sage because they both run the same company, sort of. They work together in their family's yoga studio. Let's just say.. she causes Sage a lot of unnecessary stress in her life.

Then there's Shawn, who is off his game when it comes to Sage. When he's not dealing with that little fact, he's a thrill seeker. Whether it's snowboarding, parachuting, cliff diving - you name it, he will do it.

When these two come together and realize how broken they were before they found each other - it was just amazing. I loved their love story and ate it all up. I seriously hope there's a chance to get the third book on NetGalley because I can't wait to read it!

I received this book from Net Galley for my honest opinion.

This book is nothing like I expected from the title. Who knew that Yoga and Football go together. It is well written and moves along at an excellent pace. I am very interested in reading the other books in this series.

One football player with a secret that keeps him doing deadly stunts meets his opposite in a yoga teacher that he needs to help him heal his back and his heart. Can he heal hers?

This started off amazing, then it got to just past half and the story started to fall apart. I feel like there was a big jump with these characters then the fallout. I do love Tracy Wolff's books, but this one just left me meh. I will definitely read more of her stories in the future, but this series I may skip.

A fun, quick, sexy read. Shawn and Sage were on fire from the start. Their story burned from start to finish.

Though I found Hot & Heavy entertaining, I wanted more. The story takes place in a short amount of time, and that might be why I didnt get the sense of romance I would prefer. The hero and heroine obviously had physical chemistry, but true to the title, hot & heavy. The book could have been longer for my taste and explored more of the journey to happily ever after. 3.5
