Ooh, another spicy romance from Ms. Wolff. Sage is an uptight, down-to-Earth accountant/yoga instructor. She is at a bachelorette party and spies a gorgeous man. They lock eyes and wham! The story takes off from there. It’s a faced-paced story that’s packed full of heat and humor and self discovery. I loved watching Sage and Shawn interact together. And I loved the ending

A Hot & Heavy 5-Star Phenomenal Read!
WOW WOW WOW this is the best book I have read from Tracy Wolff, wow was it hot, spicy, sexy! Risk taker vs. Straight and narrow and what to do when the two collide as a one night stand, in the back of a bar, against a wall, it hot & steamy! Then in a twist of fate, Shawn and Sage are 'thrust' together again & against all the odds and all their differences can these two really fight their flame that's ready to, not only ignite, but, spontaneously combust when they are within close proximity? Can Sage not only heal Shawn's shoulder but also heal his womanizing and reckless way? Can Shawn convince Sage to let go and take a walk on the wild side & feel the adrenaline rush with his heart! I was so hooked on Hot & Heavy that I purchased Down & Dirty (Lighting series book 1) and hope to be lucky enough to get an ARC of Rough & Ready (Lighting series book 3). Definitely Recommend One-Clicking this Phenomenally Hot Read, Hot & Heavy!!

Let me start by saying that I did not read Down & Dirty first and I don’t feel like I missed anything, but after reading some of the highlights during ‘girl talk’ I might just need to go back and see what I missed because it sounded quite interesting…aka hot.

Sage is a rule follower. She avoids danger. And she thinks she’s happy with her life until things like her mother happen and she’s reminded of why she has rules. Rules she broke one night with a stranger…in a bar…against a wall. And can I just say HOT DAMN what a way to start a book!

Opposites is almost every way.

Shawn is a risk taker, even when it puts his career at risk, but he has his reasons and they’re somewhat understandable. However, he always knows the risks he takes, that is until he meets Sage. He can’t take his eyes off her. He wants her and even after he has her recklessly against a bar wall he still wants more…and even though it scares him it’s not something he’s willing to walk away from.

Their romance is hot and demanding just like the characters themselves.

Hot & Heavy is a fast paced, can’t put it down, and don’t want to kind of book. It literally starts with a bang and never loses its momentum. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for the Lightning series.

Shawn and Sage definitely have chemistry off the charts from the very beginning. It’s no wonder their encounter at the bachelorette party leads to more. But Shawn has his demons he’s fighting and Sage might be a little too old fashioned to put up with how Shawn copes.
It’s definitely interesting watching them work though it, though. 5 stars!

Shawn and Sage were sexy and had fantadtic banter. I loved their connection and their fiery chemistry!

I thought this was a well-written, hot and steamy, sexy romance. I really enjoyed Sage and Shawn. Two completely different people who together bring out the best in each other. Along with a ton of steamy sexy scenes, there is some fun and humor, some previous hurts and demons, a little drama and soul-searching - all tied together to form a really good romance. I was intrigued with the characters from the beginning and had a hard time putting the book down. I look forward to reading more in the Lightning Series.

I didn’t read Down & Dirty, book one of this series and I do not feel I missed anything. Sage and Shawn both had some emotional baggage to work through, but everything turned out in the end. Great chemistry between the characters.

Halo Cutie

I really, really enjoyed this one!!! What do you get when you combine a football linebacker who is an adrenaline junkie and breaks all the rules of his contract by his risky behavior and an accountant/yoga instructor who has issues with rule breakers and unsafe behavior? So much chemistry it explodes off the kindle it nearly smoked with how fast the pages turned as I read this one. Shawn sees Sage across the bar and is immediately intrigued and who knew their tryst at the end of the hallway which was totally out of character for Sage would then turn into something more when Shawn is sent to her yoga studio for treatment. This one is definitely one you have to read!

Wow, what a start to this book! I found it humorous that our heroine, Sage, broke out of her "conservative" persona during a bachelorette party, but in the back hallway where none of the other party-goers could see her! Our Hero, Shawn, spots Sage in the bar where the party is being held. His ego takes a bruising when she doesn't fawn all over him, the way most women do. Surprisingly, he and his fellow teammate, Clay, are not approached by either football fans who must recognize them, or other women, so Shawn is able to continue making eyes at Sage.

After their hallway fling, Shawn has no way of tracking down Sage since she refused to give him her number. By happenstance, he ends up at her yoga studio for some help with his nagging shoulder injury. She initially runs from him, but he convinces her to take him on as a client. Both feel the electricity between them...Sage wants to deny it, and Shawn wants to explore it.

This was a quick, fun read, but I wish it could have been a little longer in time duration. I would be curious to see how Sage would react living in Shawn's very public life.

I've been looking forward to more from this group of characters ever since I read Down & Dirty - which I really enjoyed! These two characters were not who I was expecting next but enjoyed the story very much all the same! 4.5 star read for me. Tons of hot chemistry, interesting side story lines but also a lot of heart and soul and feels in the books in this series. Eagerly waiting for more books in this series!!!

They both have their demons and based on how they deal with them you would think that they should run the other way and avoid each other. But the attraction is there and is intense. It's a pull that forces Sage to get out of her comfort zone and risk getting attached, and forces Shawn to be patient and humble. To look for different ways to deal with grief and to think of others before himself. Both are stubborn but they end up pulling out the best from each other. Because in the end they just need someone to love them first and make them feel that they matter. I consider this a fast and easy read but sweet and hot along the way.

Quick and easy read. For me a little too easy. Although both main characters had major issues to deal with, all realizations and resolutions were miraculously simple. This book was heavy on the steam and light on the substance. It might be good for an afternoon by the pool, but it's not one that will stick with me.

It was a simple, but well fleshed out plot that moved along at a good pace. Lot of fun, lots of laugh, lots of drama, and some steamy sex. They make an interesting couple, and strangely suited for one another. Most important, there's a HEA!

This story is just as the title says - sexy hot and emotionally heavy. Sage and Shawn’s chemistry is evident from the very first chapter, and increasingly sizzles through the rest of the book. There’s also a heavy element to each character, an ugly past that still haunts them and keeps them apart. They are each hesitant to open up to each other, but in the end, they can’t deny their feelings.

I love the two characters, each with their own unique qualities. What I love the most though, is the storyline itself. We move from scene to scene effortlessly. There’s a good and consistent pace that’s neither too quick or too slow. I felt I could absorb the words, completely engrossed in every scene.

The only time the pace is broken is during the intimate scenes, and this to me wasn’t a big deal. Just slowed down a lot when it seemed it should’ve quickened. There’s also some unnecessary repetition that causes this.

But seriously I love this story. It and the characters are so unique, Sage’s in particular. I enjoyed watching her evolve from beginning to end and following her heart instead of her rule book. It was freeing, and I could feel it in every page.

Hot & Heavy is an insta-lust situation on crack. She isn't that kind of girl. Sage is far from the freak flag flying, hornball she appeared to be. it's him! He does this to her in a way that terrifies her. He doesn't know anything about her but...he wants to know it all! It definitely isn't his usual response but ....her. She makes Shawn want things he has never wanted before.

Hot & Heavy has chemistry, enough concerns to add drama, and a sexual content that will either make you jealous or needy.
