Football and yoga? Yeah, it works. I already loved Shawn from the first book in the series, but paired with Sage he rally shines. His demons and her insecurities are some big obstacles to overcome, but I never once doubted they could. Sexy, emotional, and romantic.

Sexy fun romance

Tracy Wolff's Hot & Heavy was a very enjoyable romance. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Sage and Shawn, it was off the charts. I thought they were believable with personal baggage which gets worked through for a very satisfying HEA.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley.

I loved this one! Shawn is such an easy character to love and Sage, while she was a bit uptight, I was happy to see her play hard to get. Not that she was playing. Her insecurities made it look like she was only partially interested. It worked for me because I just love it when a heroine makes the player type hero really work for it. Shawn and Sage both deal with some past baggage but it didn't over power the story. They were fun to read about and I can't wait for the next book.

I loved the first book in this series (Down & Dirty) a lot. But I felt like where Down & Dirty had this sparky chemistry and sexy banter - Hot & Heavy was all about the sex. The pacing was very fast and the connection was nearly 100% physical and I struggle to connect with stories like that. I love a sexy story as much as the next romance reader, but I need MORE than sex to really buy into and/or care about the story. I was disappointed in this one and ultimately it was a DNF for me at 40%.

I liked Sage and Shawn together after they got to know each other better. Not a fan of stranger sex in a bar. Also like that they both had good friends that supported them. Sage's reaction with what happened at the lake seemed too extreme for me. With the good characters I would have liked to have read more development of the relationship.

Hot and Heavy

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Well let me start by saying I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: When a daredevil football stud tries to get into your yoga pants, you know class is about to get interesting.

Sage: Although I come from a long line of free-spirited yoga teachers, sometimes I wish my life could be just a little more normal. More ordinary. More boring. Easier said than done, especially since it’s on me to keep my family’s studio up and running every time my mother wanders off to find herself. But that’s when my best friend sends me a sexy new student: Shawn Wilson, a slick wide receiver with a death wish and a chip on his broad, muscular, irresistible . . . wait, what were we talking about again?

Shawn: They say I’m an adrenaline junkie. The truth is, I only really feel alive when I’m risking my life: Snowboarding, parachuting, BASE jumping . . . the kind of fun team management considers breach of contract. When my coach orders me to take yoga to “center myself,” I’m pissed—until I get an eyeful of delectable, flexible Sage Kaufmann. Unfortunately, she’s determined to keep things between us strictly business. But if Sage can get me to enjoy downward dog, maybe I can convince her that scorching hot sex could be the perfect shot of adrenaline.

I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

Electrifying chemistry, two wounded hearts finding their perfect match in an unconventional way...a one night stand... against a wall in a bar... The chemistry was definitely not the issue, it was all the other stuff and boy did that make for some marvelous storytelling.

"Is it wrong that I want to lick him?

Hot & Heavy is a standalone, though each book focuses on a different player on the Lightning football team. The first book in the series, Down & Dirty features Hunter & Emerson which happen to be the best friends of Shawn & Sage which are the H/h in this story. So, you can expect to spend some time with some sexy players and some fun friends in every book. What's not to love about that?

One of the things that I love about this story is the broken characters. They are both running from demons and their pain is reflected in their lifestyles. They seem to be polar opposites, him being a daredevil in the spotlight and her being an OCD buttoned-up control freak. But when they accidentally run into each other there's no denying their #InstaLust for each other. Personally, I think that even if she hadn't broken her #TwoDrinkRule she would still have noticed him. "—Let's be honest—I'd have to be dead not to notice this guy. Notice him, hell, just knowing he's in the room is suddenly taking up all the oxygen."

Shawn is very likable. He's not rude, cocky and arrogant like many of the celebrity athletes I've read before, but he's also used to women flocking to him. He's not ever had to make the first move, he just shows up and they come to him. But when he sees her for the first time she makes eye contact, but she doesn't approach him. They eye-fuck each other, but she doesn't take it any further. It's driving him crazy.

Sage is not looking for trouble, but she finds it. "—the moment our gazes lock, I forget about normal. Forget about usual. And instead try to keep my panties from dropping straight to the floor." She'd never had that kind of reaction to a man before and doesn't quite know what to do with it. He doesn't approach her, but she feels the heat in his stare. And let me tell you, I felt the heat too! My Kindle was almost too hot to hold while reading this story, but you couldn't have pried it out of my hands if you tried.

Yup, I'm addicted to reading Tracy Wolff romance. I happened upon the first book by accident, then I devoured her backlist, and now I get excited with anticipation with the announcement of each new title. She never disappoints. The line forms here...

This was a really good story. I enjoyed the angst with the daredevil Shawn & walled up Sage. The characters of Shawn & Sage are both complex with an extremely steamy side to them. Both are battling demons that are altering their lives & neither knows how to break away from them. This story is very steamy right from the beginning with a quick no name romp in a bar hallway & keeps it up all through the trials & triumphs. We see each character grow & learn with each demon that pops up in their path. It was also great to see Emerson & Hunter again, as well as Lucy, Brent & Tanner. Recommend to read.

Hot & Heavy is the first book I have read by this author and I really liked it! Shawn and Sage met at a club and sparks fly! I thought they had amazing chemistry from the first look/meeting! The sexy scenes were scorching! I loved them together! Will definitely be checking out the first book!

A solid read by Tracy Wolff, there's plenty of chemistry between Shawn and Sage, and even though I liked this book, I would have liked if the story was a bit more plot-driven and a bit less focused on the attraction between the characters.

Tracy Wolff has brought another amazing story to life. Sage and Shawn are brilliant together. I felt so bad for Sage. Her childhood seemed always in chaos. A flighty mother who's goal in life was to live for the next adventure or scheme.

Shawn grew up trying to out run his own demons. Not really thinking about others. When his next adrenaline rush stunt gets him hurt.
It was a good book. I did tear up for them along the way. Just wished there was little more an ending.

Tracy Wolff is great at writing books that are short and sweet but with well rounded characters. I love this current series with the sports aspect attached because it allows the reader to see inside the heads of the men. Read this and you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed reading Hot & Heavy. First read Tracy Wolff’s Ethan Frost novels. Hot & Heavy is a lighter, humorous, but sexy read! Sexy encounter at a bar, yoga, adrenaline producing activities such as free diving, cliff climbing, BASE jumping...it’s all here for readers to enjoy!

Hot & Heavy (#2 Lightning) by Tracy Wolff .. this book was fun to read.. Sage (yoga instructor/bookkeeper) she has trust issues ...mother caused.. Shawn (football star/risk taker) he has issues of guilt and loss due to his mother and sisters death) Thanks you #NetGalley for allowing me to preview this book. These two spark of each other from the first time they lock eyes... hot steamy sex, so many feelings and fears...wonderful friends..get them to their HEA.

I enjoyed this book. I just wish there had been a more in-depth look into the characters and more of a plot than physical attraction.

When Sage Kaufmann attends a bachelorette party with a group of friends at a bar she never expects that it is going to lead to the hottest hook-up of her life... all she planned to do that night was have her two cocktails and then go home, but she wound up doing a whole lot more than that!! When her eyes connected with a tall, gorgeous man across the bar she was immediately drawn to him, but quickly decided he was to hot to take an interest in a girl like her... but she was so, so, wrong!

Shawn Wilson is a man that likes to walk on the wild side, if it's risky and dangerous sign him up, he loves to push the limits, and not really dwell on the consequences. Which is why he is currently nursing a sore shoulder; he just had to push the limits on his vacation, and now his coach is telling him he might need to look into yoga to get his shoulder ready for training camp. He of course doubts the power of yoga, that is until his eyes land on the woman who will be teaching it to him, Sage is beyond gorgeous, and he wants to explore more than just some poses on the yoga mat with her. But she isn't looking for a man, especially one who likes to live dangerously!

Hot and Heavy is sexy tale of taking risks, overcoming demons, and finding the courage to open your heart to love. The moment I met these two I knew they were a great pairing, they had amazing off the charts chemistry, but both of them also had demons that were preventing them from living a full life, so I knew their opposite personalities would compliment one another nicely, and also help the other see what they were missing living too cautiously. I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it was heartfelt, steamy, humorous, and good for the soul... I highly recommend you check it out, it's sure to leave your heart happy and your toes curled!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from NetGalley, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I received an ARC of this book through #Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this book and am excited to read Tanner’s story, hopefully soon. Please, please, please. LOL. But really this is a nice, fairly fast read of opposites attract, starting out with a little shock. Predictable, yes, what HEA isn’t? But it’s a good combo of both characters having to balance their precarious careers and real lives including lifelong baggage, with whether it’s worth it to work on a relationship. The sex scenes are plentiful and well written. The characters and their struggles and triumphs ring true throughout.

My only reason for less than 5 star rating was that I felt the end was a little rushed. Going from turmoil to HEA in nothing flat. Just felt like a few things were missing to complete the story, but........ maybe it’ll be in the next one. :)

This is my first book by this author and I thought it was pretty good quick and easy read. It’s the second book in the series and I didn’t read the first one, but I had no problems following along. The title certainly lived up to its name because this started off with a bang between Sage and Shawn. It was like hello, nice to meetcha, let’s get it on, ‘kay?! Hallway in a bar style. All of their sexy times were pretty hot. Crazy sexual chemistry between these two crazy kids. I do want to check out the first book, it looks like it’s a good one.

Good read. It was a little slow getting into the first two chapters but after that, no problems. The story between Shawn the NFL football player who was an adrenalin junkie and Sage who liked to be control and safe things. Couldn't be more opposite than each other but their attraction is sizzling hot, unable to stop them. Can opposites attract ? I lover breading this authors books and never disappointed.
