***Thank you to Netgalley for letting me have the ARC.***

I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it was predictable but that’s ok. Not every book needs twists and turns. I loved the characters. Luke and Lola felt like real people. The supporting characters were good too, especially Frankie (Lola’s best friend). I liked the setting of Washington, DC. Most American books seem to be set in New York or LA so this was a nice change. I also loved the plot. I’ve never read a fake-relationship-turned-real before and I was hooked despite knowing it would end in a HEA.

I'm such a sucker for fake-to-real-relationship tropes, so I couldn't pass up on this one and was happy to be receiving an e-arc of Her Super-Secret Rebound Boyfriend.

This romcom is a pick me up at anytime kind of book and I enjoyed it really much. The characters are well developed, the romance is well developed, there's humor and engaging writing so what could you want more? There are Golden Girls references, but I haven't seen that much of the show to recognize everything, but if you like that kind of references, then it's a really fun bonus I think!

This is a book that's a bit like a Dime in a dozen kind of book that I won't remember everything about in the future, but it was just super entertaining, which was what I was hoping for to get with this read. I definitely recommend to pick it up if you're in the mood for a fun RomCom!

3,5 stars!

The premise of this was really cute. Sneaking into a high school reunion to a school you didn't attend can only end in shenanigans. Fake couple is one of my favorite tropes and I liked how this story turned out with these characters. This was my first book from this author and I would read her again.

A quick fun read, good enough premise, enjoyable characters. A good book to spend an afternoon with. Would recommend this and would read more from this author

This was a so cute and a fast read too. Crashing into a local high school reunion was never so fun, when Lola decided to do it. Apparently a way to get over a broken heart. But life did change for her as she met Luke there who coerced her to become his pretend girlfriend at his family reunion. And love happened.

My first book by author Kerri Carpenter, saw me smiling at the couple. I love the trope of fake couple becoming real. Their chemistry sizzled and the friends and family added a level of sweetness and fun into the prose.

Overall this story was the perfect stress buster.

This is my first book from this author and i really liked it. It was a cute story about Lola, a reunion crasher who does this to get over a breakup. While she is there, Luke sees her and calls her on the fact that she does not belong there. So instead of ratting her out, he asks if she will go to his family reunion . Will their fake relationship actually be able to grow into something real? This is a quick read that will leave you laughing and a little hot by the time you are finished with it.

Fun, quick read!
Lola's best friend convinces her to crash a local high school reunion, in order to get over her recent break-up. There she meets Luke who figures the name she gave him doesn't match with his memory of the girl he briefly dated. So he suggests she pretend to be his girlfriend for his family reunion, and he'll keep her secret. Of course, the more time they spend together feelings start to get complicated.
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.
Is there a Winnie and Oliver book?

This book was cute, fun and fluffy. Any longtime romance reader will tell you that the fake relationship trope will inevitably turn real at some point...it’s the journey that matters. I like the chemistry between Lola and Luke, especially because they needed to become friends before trying to fake out his family. His family and her friends added levity to the underlying sadness in both their pasts, as well as humor. I need to find a bocce team, stat! While I’m not the Golden Girls fan that my daughters are, I thought the references to them were cute...and it’s true that the show was definitely ahead of its time!
So, I think Her Super-Secret Rebound Boyfriend was a great read for a sunny, late summer day. I hope the author writes stories for each of Luke’s triplet sisters..I especially want to read about Winnie 😉

I received an ARC from Netgalley. All opinions are honestly and voluntarily left.

After her boyfriend dumps her for a “younger, more attractive” woman, Lola’s bestie Frankie coaxes her into a crazy escapade to get over him; gate crashing a high school reunion. It’s instant attraction when Luke see’s Lola and of course, when Frankie notices him giving Lola the once over she pushes them together but when Luke notices her name tag he realizes she’s not quite who she says she is.

Taking advantage of Lola’s mortification, he convinces her to help him out by being playing the part of his girlfriend at an upcoming family reunion to get his (matchmaking) sister’s off his back. But between meeting to get their stories straight for the family gathering, and Lola fitting in perfectly with his family, suddenly pretend becomes something else instead.

Probably my 1 major snit was the heroine’s name (ick). The 1st thing that caught my interest was shy librarian and Lola didn’t disappoint as a character. An introvert and book lover, she would much rather spend the evening in comfortable jammies with a book rather than partying. Lying to Luke’s family didn’t sit well with her.

Luke has some major hang ups when it comes to relationships. The way their relationship grew and especially the interaction with Luke’s family was charming.

A solid, entertaining read.

This book was super cute!! Crashing a reunion and following it up with a fake relationship??? Yes, please!!

I wasn't expecting the angst in this story since I thought it was going to be a lighthearted, happy read but the little bit of angst thrown in kept this book from being too sugary sweet. Lola and Luke completely captured my heart.

I was trying to find if this book is part of series and couldn't find it but I sure do hope so! The triplets NEED books of their own... And Frankie. And basically all of the characters :)

After meeting when she gate-crashes his high school reunion, Lola agrees to fake date Luke to keep his family from trying to fix him up all the time.

They start to spend a lot more time together and it doesn't feel so fake anymore, but will Luke let her in o his life for good?

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this title.

Unfortunately, this was one I chose not to finish. My apologies for the late notice. As I don't want my low rating to appear on the site and potentially impact the choices of other readers, I wait until after a title has been published/no longer able to be downloaded.

Inadvertently, I waited much longer than intended to give feedback for this title.

I look forward to the next title through your company!

Thanks,
Laura

Super cute fake relationship to real love story. Each chapter starts with a Golden Girls quote. 😂 enjoyable with likable characters you root for.

This was such a fun book I just loved both Luke and Lola, these two meet when she crashes his high school reunion and he realises she is not wh she is pretending to be when she asks him not to turn her in he agrees as long as she will pretend to be his girlfriend for a family get together so he can get his family off his back. It was supposed to be a one-shot deal but she gets on really well with his family and gets invited back again. The more time they spend together they more their feelings develop but she is looking for marriage and forever and that's not what Lukes wants. This was a really good read I just loved it

Lola was encouraged to crash a class reunion to have a one night stand. The night turned out to be so much more than she could ever have possibly imagined. Luke never wanted a relationship. He protected himself at all costs. Having a night of fun and finding a date to his family reunion would definitely get his sisters off his back about settling down. What started as one night turned into something that would change them both forever.

This was such a fun, cute, romantic story. I have a soft spot for fake engagement / fake relationship stories, so this was a lot of fun for me.

Five words to describe Her Super-Secret Rebound Boyfriend? Adorable. Low angst. Day-dreamy. Quick.

Luke and Lola meet at Luke's high school reunion, where Lola is pretending to be someone else at the behest of her best friend and roommate. Lola was recently dumped, and Frankie wanted to get her out of her funk, so why not take a page out of the Golden Girls playbook by crashing a party? Luke promises to not rat Lola out...as long as she helps him with a little problem: his family reunion. Due to his own issues, he's sworn off commitment, but his family aren't on board with that decision, so clearly the best thing to do is bring a pretend girlfriend along, right? (Let's all collectively roll our eyes at this...)

The number one thing I learned from this book is that I need to watch The Golden Girls. Each chapter started with a quote, and they were hilarious and snarky and wonderful. How have I never seen this show before? You know, other than that it's American and aired before I was born.

The story was predictable in its tropeyness, but I still lapped it up. I couldn't stop reading because it was just so easy to digest. It made me feel warm and fuzzy, what with mentions of puppies and loving families. Even when I was stuck in bed with a migraine, I kept reading (on and off through the haze of pain).

I loved that Lola was an introverted librarian with a love for Jane Austen (same, girl, same). I loved that her best friend and roommate was her opposite, but they got on so well and clearly cared about each other (goals). I loved Luke's family and his interactions with them. And finally, I loved that while there was some sadness and angst towards the end, it didn't take too long to resolve.

My absolute favourite thing about this book, though? The epilogue. I want that exact thing to happen to me. I might get my boyfriend to read that final chapter for ideas.

Read this if you want a quick and easy dose of happy in your life!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.

The premise of the this book sounded soooo amazing! Unfortunately that was probably the best part of the book. The editing was horrible (was there anyone editing??) and the characters were rather juvenile for being in their mid to late 20's. The editing or lack thereof may have been to blame for some of the lack of characterization. Sentences and dialogue all ran together and it was so confusing.

I had high hopes for this book. Didn't happen this time.

From Lola’s penchant for telling the truth and Luke’s for needing a moment of reprieve from his meddling mother and sisters, you have a story that creates emotions for the couple that’ll leave an imprint on your heart. Lola is endearing with her simple desire for a relationship and a family, while Luke’s struggles will break your heart for refusing the idea for the same.

Together Luke and Lola draw you into their story and keep you engrossed in their challenges at resisting and failing at falling in love. Their story is not only one about the perils of best laid plans when dishonesty is involved, but also gentleness, compassion and trust at opening up and sharing of one’s self. These two are definitely worth loosing yourself in their HEA journey.

I was truly impressed with the author’s creation of characters who have such depth and personality. These two are a couple not easily forgotten once the story ends.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
