Dangerous Exes by Rachel Van Dyken is a winner. I Always love her characters and enjoy her stories. This one Surpassed all my expectations.

A Five Star read for me.

For me this was a quite standard sexy romance. It was enjoyable but not unique you know? A dime in a dozen. Maybe I’ve read too much of these kind of books so don’t pay too much attention to my opinion haha. It was fun though, so definitely not a bad written book or anything. Just also not a outstanding one to me personally.

This story was really hard to put down. Another great book in the series. I've seen others also post that it's best to read this story in order, just so you don't miss anything. And I strongly agree.

I love this book. Isla is one of my favorite female characters. She is a very strong lead. Jessie is the reason I had to take one star away. I just couldn’t understand how he could blame Isla for his problems. Aside from that the story was great. I loved Isla’s aunt. She was hilarious and I would love to see more of her in future books

I couldn’t get into this book. I tried multiple times and it just didn’t grab my attention. I skimmed through hoping something would grab me but nothing ever did.

I loved book 1! But was dying to see Isla get her HEA. I love seeing that RVD let her funny side come out in this book, because that is when I feel I am reading her most genuine writing. I feel like every book I have picked up from this author has great and now one click every book without reading the blurbs.

Thanks to Netgalley and publishers for a copy to read and give an opinion. PI Isla takes on ex footballer Jessie Beckett when his wife accuses him of cheating. Scandal ahead to Jesse pretty much losing everything important in his life, from the charities he leads to being tarnished in the papers..
He blames Isla. Determined now to cost Isla everything that is dear to her.

What did I like? This is a cute book... from Goo-pah and her headache teas to Isla and her fake engagement to Jesse everything is such a wonderful mess. Everything these two do seems to cause more mischief or mayhem. An enjoyable fun tale.

Would I recommend or buy? Yes, this is a light hearted book with some issues with Ex’s. Book two in a series so you should really read in order so you get the full experience. The book references book one a ton, so get both if your going to enjoy.

Thoughts for the author? Fun book, thanks again for the read.

When I had requested this book I hadn’t realised it was a 2nd book within a series although I’m sure it could’ve been read as a stand-alone it hadn’t felt right to do so, so I quickly flew through the first just to read this book and I’m glad I did so. I loved this book much more than I had enjoyed the first. I loved the glimpses we received of Jessie and Isla’s romance in book 1 and it excited me even more to get the full on thing here. I was quite irked by Jessie’s role in the first but this definitely offered a redemption for him and I grew to like him. I would definitely recommend this book.

Rachel Van Dyken is a go-to romance writer for me. I generally like her stuff, find it steamy, the characters don't annoy me, etc., etc., etc. If one book in a series is a miss (and we're talking like a double rather than a triple or homerun) the next is sure to be a winner. That was the case here. I liked the first one okay, but I really loved this one. She's an autorequest author and I'm glad I found her.

I loved Isla. She's witty and sarcastic, everything about her is vibrant. She's the perfect match for Jessie. They had great chemistry. I laughed along with some parts and enjoyed their story.

Jessie and Isla's story is the second installment in the Liar's Inc world. They had such great chemistry for a enemies to lovers story. I laughed and enjoyed the book a lot.

I loved Ilsa in Dirty Exes, but I loved her even more in this book! Her quick wit and sarcastic humor is spot on! She’s the perfect firecracker!!

And Jessie, oh Jessie. I felt for him in book one, glad to see him paired with something who truly appreciate him and brings out color in his otherwise black & white world. And Ilsa is full of color. Red - Bold, bright and stunning just like her.

These two had me cracking up and swooning the entire time! I might actually love this book better than the first! 😱 I know, shocker. Sometimes the next book doesn’t work as well as the first, not the case here folks. RVD rocks it! A definite must read!!

Dangerous Exes is Isla and Jessie's story and it definitely doesn't disappoint! This is a hilarious enemies to lovers story with some touching moments mixed in. I dare you to keep a straight face when Isla's Goo-Poh comes into a scene...

This is the second book in the Liar's Inc series, so you do need to read Dirty Exes first as it sets up the base for this story. I love RVD hardcore and this series is another one you can chalk up to as a great read. It has the steamy sexy scenes, the laughter and still a mix of the seriousness to keep you enthralled in this story from beginning to end. This is a enemies to lovers type book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it because of the way the first book went. I am a sucker for HEA's and when one of the characters got the "shaft" in the first book it made me want them to get there story and RVD did just that and it was awesome! I would give this story a solid 4 stars and highly recommend to others.
Isla and Jessie were friends at one point but when Jessie found out secrets that Isla was keeping from him it made her enemy #2 because his ex-wife was and always will be enemy #1. In Isla's eyes, she did nothing wrong she was doing her job... but Jessie has it set that she ruined his life so he is going to destroy hers... but what will happen when sparks are flying will they give in or are both too stubborn to see what is in front of each other?
Get to one clicking to see what happens you don't want to miss it!

Well, we saw some of Isla and lots of Jessie in the first book, Dirty Exes.
Jessie's reputation is destroyed after his ex-wife used Isla's private PI company, and now he is set to bring them down too. As he sets out to do this, he stumbles along the way that leads him and Isla learning more and more about the real person underneath.
This book will definitely make you laugh out loud, especially Isla's great-aunt Goo-Pah.
One click this one! You will not be disappointed.

I love Rachel Van Dyken’s writing. I haven’t found one book I do not like and this one isn’t any different. I highly recommend you reading this you will find yourself rooting for the couple. You laugh, you cry and you wanna punch him.

I really enjoyed Dirty Exes, so it was no brainer for me to read Dangerous Exes. You have to Dirty Exes in order to understand how Dangerous Exes comes about and plays out.

We already met both Isla and Jessie in Dirty Exes, so we know what to expect of them. I loved Isla from the get-go in Dirty Exes, and she was all the more hilarious in this book. Blaire's ex-boyrfriend, Jessis is hell-bent on seeking revenge against Liars, Inc for ruining his reputation.

I won't go into specifics as to what happens, but I will tell you that lines get blurred and what was suppose to be fake, ends up being more. Jessie and Isla are quite the pair, both working together and trying to avoid the building chemistry between one another.

Rachel wrote a very entertaining story with Isla and Jessie. It is full of laughs, tension and some really hot scenes. We also get to read about Blaire and Colin from the first book. Oh and I can't forget to mention Goo-Poh - Isla's aunt - now that woman is a hoot!!

If you haven't already, buy this book (plus Dirty Exes) and binge read them both - you're in for on hell of a treat.

Laugh out loud funny, “Dangerous Exes” may seem to be an alpha male and an alpha female jockeying for position at first glance. If you think that, you are correct, but a closer look will tell you that the story is about two control freaks who find each other irresistible.

I used “control freaks” for lack of a better word. I wanted to use OCD tendencies, but then again, it might give the wrong impression. Think of Jack Nicholson in “As Good As It Gets.” He is not obnoxious. Rather, he is your funny next-door neighbor who tends to be overbearing.

Jessie Beckett and Isla Turner are two sides of a coin. Beckett wants everything perfect especially his public persona. He wants everything in order to the point of alphabetizing his groceries. Turner is a planner. Things must go according to her plans! And if they don’t, then from her point of view, all hell has broken loose.

They are perfectly imperfect… and guess what? They are perfect for each other!

And that is the genius of this story. Rachel Van Dyken has created two lead characters who seem to have all their ducks in a row, but they are actually as damaged as everyone else around them. That, this is a romantic comedy made “Dangerous Exes” very appealing and a fun read.

A feel-good book, this one should be one of those books you read before bedtime. You want to relax and you want to have sweet dreams. This one will do it for you.

“Dangerous Exes” is Rated T for Teens. Parental guidance strongly advised due to some adult situations.

I love all of RVD booms and this was no exception. It was a little hard to get intoning the beginning and I found that some of the things that happened were surreal but that's what reading fiction is about...I don't want to read about real life all the time and this book took me out of it. So she did an amazing job at that!!

The story of Isla and Jesse take a you from laugh out loud humor to wanting to shed some tears and then back to laughter. Isla takes a case that ends up putting her on the wrong side and right in the angry path of Jesse. When the two get together to get out of a sticky situation the adventure begins. I love Isla and Jesse's story! This is book two and can be read as a standalone; however, reading the first book enhances the connection to the characters. This is another great read by this author.
