Just like every other Rachel VanDyken book I have read, I loved it. No matter the genre, I fall in love with her books. I love her writing style. This story is about Jessie and Isla. I love their chemistry. This book had me laughing so much. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I was given a copy from Net Galley for a fair and honest review.

Isla and Jessie appeared as secondary characters in Dirty Exes, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on their story. As usual with RVD, there is plenty of humor, banter, and over the top moments. I enjoyed watching these two go from hatred to something more. RVD continues to increase the steam factor in her books. In addition to the romance, I admire the powerful female relationships in this series. Goo-Poh is such a delight, and I have no doubt she has more antics up her sleeve. I look forward to the next installment.

Isla started the PI company Dirty Exes with her best friend Blaire, after being cheated on, to help save others from what she went through.
Jessie is out to destroy Dirty Exes after he feels they ruined his life, when his ex wife hired them. Little did he know that in the process of ruining Isla and her company something else would develop.
This book was laugh out loud funny. The chemistry and banter with Jessie and Isla is through the roof. Not to mention Isla’s hilarious elderly Aunt. There were definitely a few moments where I felt sad for Isla and even Jessie. Also there were a few twist in there I did not expect, keeping it a page turner that I couldn’t put down. This was a great read with lots of feel and lots of spice. I highly recommend!

Dangerous Exes had me reading well past my bedtime. I got sucked right into this story and next thing I knew I was done and it was 3am.

This enemies to lovers romance had me all in. Jessie and Isla's banter was definitely entertaining to say the least. The sexual tension you could cut with a knife but at the same time I could understand their animosity.

Throw in an over the top great aunt known as Goo-poh and what you have is a hilarious romantic comedy that was flirty, fiery and fun all at the same time. There just the right amount of angst as well to have your heart skip a beat.

Fantastic read.

This almost friends to enemies to lovers romance is not to be missed! Dangerous Exes is another can’t.put.down book from Rachel Van Dyken. Grab your wine and settle in for a fun, laugh out loud, sexy romance.

Jessie and Isla are a riot and I love the push-pull of their relationship or lack thereof. The way each character thinks/behaves is fun to see from each point of view and keeps you turning the page to see what happens next. You feel the evolution of Jessie’s feelings and RVD nailed both character’s emotion in every scene.

Let’s talk about my favorite aunt (reminds me a lot of Grandma Nadine). Goo-Poh is a pill. She is funny and has no shame. She wants what she wants and she gets what she wants. She makes this story just that much better.

Romance, hatred, sexiness, and laughs. Dangerous Exes has it all from start to finish and I love Isla and Jessie (and Goo-Poh!). The fantastic writing we’ve come to expect from Rachel Van Dyken and believable characters, fun dialogue, and chickens all combine together to make this a must-read book.

All right romcom lovers, Dangerous Exes is the type of book you live for! This is the second book in Rachel’s Liars, Inc. series, but as most of her books can be, it can be read as a standalone title. Honestly! However, Dirty Exes delivers all the fun, and I highly recommend that book, as well.

Isla made this little mistake that may or may not have cost Jessie his time in the spotlight as a golden boy. It was an honest mistake...so why is he trying to ruin her now? If he ruins her business, it ruins his best friend’s girl’s business, too, because Blair is her business partner. It doesn’t make sense. But revenge never really makes sense, does it? There’s a fine line between love and hate. Which side will Jessie and Isla fall on?

Rachel’s ability to infuse just the right amount of angst and deep thoughts into a hilarious story is what won me over as a reader and fan several years ago. Oh, and the sarcasm! And this book for sure delivers all of that. Fans of The Consequence series will see almost a scary resemblance to Max in Isla’s great aunt, too! Dangerous Exes has the perfect mix of lovable characters...and those you’ll love to hate.

NICUnurse’s Rating: With a combination of hijinks, subterfuge, sarcasm, and steamy scenes, this book takes you on a wild ride that will entertain, make you swoon, and make you fall in love. (And stay up way too late because you can’t stop reading––not that I speak from experience or anything!) I’m giving this book a solid 5 stars!

Dangerous Exes is the second book in the Liars Inc. series by the fabulous and talented Rachel Van Dyken.
I thought I loved Colin with his face and his hair. Oh God, the hair. But man did Jessie Beckett steal my heart. Yes, he's a vengeful ass, but he's just so…everything. Intense, sexy, sweet, crazy. Did I say sexy? Jessie and Isla were friends and they definitely had chemistry, but now he blames her for ruining him and he's going to ruin her in return. Let the stalking begin! But when an accidental kiss goes viral they have to pretend to be together. Really together. Uh oh! They hate each other and they want to rip each other's clothes off. When Isla starts to add color to Jessie's life he's not freaking out about it. He loves the color. He's starting to love everything about the feisty, smart, beautiful woman. But he started something that he can't stop and he's afraid she'll never forgive him. Isla can't say no to Jessie. He's too sexy and smart and funny. When the lies come out can they find their way back to each other? Will they admit it was never really an act? Oh man! I LOVED this story! I didn't expect Jessie to get to me this way, but the way he talked and the things he did just got to me! Isla held out longer than I would have! Ha! Overall, I laughed, cried, had to fan myself and laughed some more. There was also a lot of swooning!

"Some best friend you are."
"A best friend who's getting laid in the regular by a goddess with a fascination for tugging my hair? Um, yeah, hard pass."

"I'm not drunk enough for you yet."

"I think if I was on the opposing team I'd lose on purpose in order to have you tackle me."

"I would justify every damn thing in the world for another taste of you."

I absolutely enjoyed this book. The humor, the story, the people. Everyone needs a Goo-Poh. Not sure what I'm talking about...Grab your copy and you'll know. Rachel does an amazing job. I could feel my heartstrings being tugged. Another wonderful book by her!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is book two of the series. It can be read as a standalone but you are missing out if you don't read the first book.
Jessie is trying to take down Isla's PI company Dirty Exes. He has managed to get a copy of her schedule and is following her everywhere she goes. With tempers spiking so does the heat and when they get caught in a compromising position they do the only thing to keep rumors from flying. Of course a fake relationship. Only things don't always feels so fake.
This was a great read. Hopefully we will get more from this series.

This book is well written and just like all books (by this author) I have read so far I just couldn't put it down.

I highly recommend

Absolutely wonderful!!

My checks hurt from smiling. I love Isla! She is hilarious, strong and a great female character. I liked her in the first book but this.... oh geez you will love her at the end of this.

Isla and Jessie are wonderful together. They are sexy, fun and their story pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Their banter is comical. They had me laughing through most of the book. I’m in love with this series, these crazy bunch of characters and their wild stories. Dangerous Exes is a definite must read.

If you read the first book Dirty Exes then you know a little bit about Isla and Jessie. This is their story. One filled with a little revenge and giving another word for enemies. Set to make things right in the end Isla does whatever it takes. The last thing she expected was to fall for Jessie who has made her life a living hell. Jessie wants to get his life back from what is left from the destructive wake from his ex wife. Little did he know he and Isla would hit it off in and out of the sheets so well. This is a hot fun read that will keep you glued to the pages.

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I do recommend that you read Dirty Exes first. This story does start in that book.

I have to say. I want a Goo-Poh of my own. I absolutely love that crazy lady. Every scene she was in, she stole it. No one could say no to her, it was awesome.

Isla is such a strong woman. Yes, she is a little broken because of what her ex did to her. But, it caused her to pick herself back up, dust herself off, and do something. That something was meeting Blaire and creating their company.

They are PI’s and investigate cheating claims.

That’s how she was matched up with Jessie.

His wife at the time, now ex wife, Vanessa. She destroyed his life because of this.

Don’t worry, it wasn’t true. She was the cheater, not him.

Blaire and Jessie do have a history. I’m not going into that though. We got all of that in the first book.

Jessie is a really good guy. He may be stupid sometimes. You’ll see what I’m talking about when you read this, don’t worry.

I laughed so hard at some scenes, like the chickens and rooster. Then the final chicken at the end.

My heart also broke for both Isla and Jessie.

I absolutely love all these characters.

Rachel wrote such a fantastic book. But I’ve loved all of hers. I can’t go wrong when I pick up one of her stories. They just suck me right in.

Isla Turner is the co-owner of the company Dirty Exes, and it is her passion to bring someone who is cheating in their relationship the justice they deserve. Until the one case that turns her entire life upside down...

Jessie Beckett was once burned by Isla and her PI company, and he has decided to give her a taste of her own medicine. But, when retribution takes a turn for the convoluted, Jessie and Isla are going to finds themselves getting a whole lot cozier than they could have ever imagined...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dangerous Exes is book number two in the Liars, Inc. series, where we are given the story of Jessie who in book #1 was the center of a Dirty Exes investigation...
Jessie is a man on a mission to take down the PI's who have ruined his life, and to make them suffer just as he has. Unfortunately, Jessie doesn't know who he is messing with, and his plan to take down Isla is swiftly met with some payback of her own...
Isla was once burned in a relationship so solidly that she has devoted herself to helping people in her very same past situation. Butting heads with Jessie is the last thing her thriving company needs, but if he is prepared to fight her, she is going to fight as dirty as it gets...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

While I enjoyed this story, for the most part, I ultimately couldn't connect with the characters, or the scenario as a whole. While funny, this was another RVD book with the humor leaning to the overly silly side, which at times is amusing, but tends to feel a little redundant after awhile.

This book was, as usual, very well written, and is comprised of one humorous incident after another. With a crazy Aunt who steals the show and some severe sexual tension between Jessie and Isla, this read had it's extremely good moments, and some that just couldn't hold my attention.

While this wasn't my favorite Rachel Van Dyken book, it will definitely NOT be my last.

I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.

It’s Rachel Van Dyken, so it’s probably no surprise that Dangerous Exes is an unputdownable, swoon-worthy romance. Jessie has a grudge against Isla, and she’s not his biggest fan. He’s trying to extract a little payback when he has to begrudgingly pause his plans, call a truce and work closely with her. Neither like each other, but they realize they may have gotten their initial assessments wrong as they spend more time together and begin to unravel some misunderstandings that had affected their opinions. They banter and bicker it out while the sexual tension escalates and their emotional connection deepens. Their lighthearted enemies-to-lovers dynamic is so much fun to read. Dangerous Exes is an entertaining, sexy and thoroughly romantic must-read.

Dangerous Exes (Liars, Inc., #2) by Rachel Van Dyken is classic. A contemporary romance that can be read as a stand alone, but to truly appreciate the position of the main characters it would be beneficial to read Dirty Exes. Yeah, I'm rooting for the underdog. Go Jessie! Wait, Go Isla! Lies, entanglements, subterfuge, humor, romance. Did I leave anything out? It's a fantastically entertaining story that compliments book 1 and bumps up the heat level to scorching. Who knew Jessie had it in him? If you've read Dirty Exes, you'll really like this one.
