Nina Crespo's book Fight for You is the second book in her Kingman Brother series and it was the perfect addition.

When Aiden Kingman met Delaney they were inseparable but his father bought her father’s land and instead of restoring it as he claimed he sold it to developers, Aiden and Delaney were done. Seven years later Delaney is asked to consult on another property Echo Pines and the bidder is Alden and his brother Kings company. Delaney is hesitant to see Aiden or deal with him as her heart is still attached to him but she promised to help even if it breaks her. I loved Delaney’s courage to face her past and her past love head on.

While I enjoyed Aiden's character, I did not like Delanie. She acted too much like a victim and her attitude at times was pitiful and defeatist. I love Aiden and he was trying to right his past mistakes but it takes two to build a relationship and well Delanie didn't seem like she was trying.

FIGHT FOR YOU is the second book in the KINGMAN BROTHERS series, and it picks up where the first book, FORGET YOU, left off. It was nice to be back with Aiden and King, but their business deals ones again cause angst.

This is Aiden and Delanie’s story, and it runs through many emotions. They have a history, started seven years ago, and that’s where the book begins before transitioning into the present. They share a lot of memories, and not all are good. Their attraction and feelings are still there, but can they afford to act on them, especially considering their new dealings? The story runs the gamut of emotions and is filled with passion and romance.

The plot flows smoothly, and there are a few twists and turns. The characters didn’t have too much depth and were definitely more focused on themselves and their businesses, for the most part. There are a few unresolved issues that an epilogue may have helped, although there is the potential for a few happily-ever-afters in the future.

This book is an enjoyable summer read even if you haven’t read the first book. Enough details are given to let you know of Aiden and Delanie’s past. It was passion-filled, even when the characters didn’t want it to be!

I look forward to reading more books by Ms. Crespo.

I stopped reading at 45% . It was that or my mental health. The book began with the "hero" waking up after a one night stand and he actually has a conversation with that woman. That was so not my thing and still I was able to continue. Then the "heroine" who was supposed to be betrayed by him fell into his bed after a day(?) they saw each other again after those 7 years and the hero showed zero redemption characteristics. I wasn't able to get into the story or like either main character, so I wouldn't recommend the book.

I had high hopes for this book because it is a second-chance romance and that is one of my favorite tropes! Unfortunately, I didn't feel the chemistry between Aidan and Delanie. And I also found it hard to connect with Delanie. Anyway, I DNF'd at around 42%.

Seven years ago Aiden Kingman betrayed the woman he cared a lot about. However, when he discovers she's been hired to help sell the property he and his brother want to buy, he realizes he's going to need all his charm in order to win Delanie over. Will Aiden get everything he wants including a future with Delanie or will he lose her all over again?

The second chance romance trope is one of the top five tropes that I love to read and Ms. Crespo has delivered a wonderful read encompassing this trope in this story where right from the prologue I was hooked because of what happened that caused Aiden and Delanie to go their separate ways. However, it was from the moment where the hero and heroine come face-to-face for the first time after the prologue where things get very interesting, as Aiden is going to need all the help he can get when it comes to Delanie since she's learnt her lesson when it comes to trusting men that use their charm to get what they want.

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories and everything these two go through on their journey to happy ever after, as Aiden has so much to make up for, even though what happened in the past wasn't completely his fault. Will he be able to make things right? Will Delanie be able to forgive Aiden for what happened? Moreover, the heroine is feisty, independent, resilient, courageous and I liked how determined she was to do what's right by her client and show Aiden that she's not an easy target anymore. While Aiden, he's confident, charming, a good brother and I liked the decisions he makes throughout this story because Delanie is the most important person to him and he's determined to show her just how important she is.

Overall, Ms. Crespo has delivered a really good read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was intense; the romance was full of heat and passion and shows just how good these two are together; and the ending had me loving what Aiden does to prove to Delanie that she's the one for him. No way could he let anything ruin his second chance with her. I would recommend Fight for You by Nina Crespo, if you enjoy second chance romances or books by authors Skye Warren, CD Reiss, Lauren Blakely and Jill Shalvis.

If you're looking for a good redemptive love story Fight for You is the one you're looking for. There's something about having a couple find one another after a bad breakup years before that works for me. Not only do they have to work through their past differences, they also have to accept how much things have changed. This was a vast improvement over the first in this series.

I read book 1 of the Kingman Brothers series, and though I wasn't a fan of the brother I thought to give book two a chance. This is a second-chance romance and even though it is part of a series, it is standalone. Unfortunately, just like in book one, I found I didn't really care much for Delanie. I liked Aiden, but Delanie just kind of fell flat for me and didn't seem to put as much effort in the relationship as Aiden.

Seven years ago, Aiden and Delanie were in love until she and her father were betrayed by Aiden and his family regarding a business deal. She hasn’t forgotten the devastation it caused both her and her father. Delanie has a successful business however her experience with love have been the exact opposite. When she is asked to assist in a transaction between Aiden and his brother King and a friend of her ex-mother in-law’s she doesn’t know how to say no.

Aiden has always regretted choosing his father over Delanie and he wants a second chance but is Delanie willing to forgive him for the past?

This is a story of second chances, new beginnings and forgiveness. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Aiden and Delanie were torn apart by Aiden's betrayal. Delanie is confident, determined and successful and she needs to have more balance in her life. She doesn't want a relationship after her divorce and the betrayal by Aiden before that. Aiden knows he chose wrong when he was younger and his father betrayed him, in turn, causing Aiden to betray Delanie. No woman ever measured up. I love his resolve that he's not going to let her go again. His growth since he was younger is amazing and his swoon-worthy personality doesn't hurt a reader dig into the story fast. If you're looking for a fast-paced, second chance romance that's so hot you could fry an egg on your device then I highly recommend checking out Fight For You!

3.5: I just...felt like I needed more re: the whole plot & romance? It felt incomplete, and I wasn't thrilled with how previous book Hero's took on a more villainous role in this book, etc.

I enjoyed this second offering in the Kingman Brothers series more than the first.

Delanie keeps running from the feelings Aiden rouses in her, but he's not giving up on her without a real fight this second time around. I bought the chemistry between the couple, and though she was extremely reluctant, there was no doubt that Delanie was just as crazy about Aiden as he was about her.

The author giving us a little peek at Sophie and King was a nice touch.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book, which I received via NetGalley.

This is a real treat for anyone who enjoys second chance romance where the hero made a serious mistake that initially drove the couple apart so now has to work hard to have any opportunity to rekindle the embers of his first love and regain her trust.

Seven years ago, Aiden Kingman chose to follow his father rather than stay with Delanie Clark, even though his father had lied and manipulated him. Now Aiden and his brother work together in their own company, often proving to be in competition with their father rather than working with him. Aiden has given up on trying to prove his worth to his father and has a major regret from his past - betraying and leaving Delanie. Now fate has given him another chance to connect with her but there are more obstacles in the way, especially as she is the negotiator on an important deal and she no longer trusts him despite their mutual attraction!

This is a moving story that tugs on the heartstrings as misunderstandings, unease and pride add extra obstacles to the potential romance. To that mix add in others making business decisions that impact on them both without warning and you've got so many potential disasters it will take a miracle - or true love - to enable this couple find their HEA together and make their dreams come true!

I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

An OK book, I must admit, it didn't really hold my interest. I skimmed it. Put it down, Picked it back up and skimmed some more.

There are good main characters in this book. One main difference between Aiden and Delanie is their upbringing with their fathers. Delanie had a loving, supportive father. He was always looking out for her without being controlling. He had to be both mother AND father to her. Aiden had one nasty, controlling father who didn't care who got hurt as long as he got his way. Not only was he dishonorable in business, he didn't care if he hurt his sons as long as things turned out the way he wanted.
This book is full of emotion because of the past and current dealings. Even though it's been about 7 years, Delanie and Aiden never really got over each other.
There were several other secondary people in the story but we really didn't seem to get too deep into them. King is one of those being Aiden's brother. And King's girlfriend and also his mother show up in the story as well. But again more in a nominal way.
I liked how things came to a head towards the end and that there was a H.E.A. for the couple. It was also an interesting way that Aiden came up with some solutions to their long-term future.
By the way, isn't that a lovely cover for this eBook?

Fight For You

**received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great book about second chances and what you would do if you could have another chance to make amends for the past. Delanie and Aiden are both strong willed and will push each other every moment. But they also have that little part in each of them that cant deny how they feel for one another. Nina Crespo does an amazing job telling their story and keeps it interesting. They both will be tested and they will have to give up some of their control and trust issues if they want to make it work. This is a great read and definitely worth the time.

Delanie was in love with Aiden but when he went back on his word she ran, can she trust him again?

Delanie was young and impressionable when she fell for Aiden all those years ago, but she is older and wiser now and will not be made a fool of again. When her ex mother in law asks for her help for a friend, Delanie is unsure when she hears that Aiden is involved. But she wants to make him pay for all those years ago, so she decides to help out and maybe get back at him for changing her life so drastically back then.

When Aiden finds out that Delanie will be involved in the purchase of Echo Pines, he knows this is his chance to make up for what happened years ago. But he will have to get her to listen if he wants that to happen. She is just as stubborn as she was back then and he knows that this will be his only chance. So he decides to change somethings around to help him out, but will it be enough?

Delanie and Aiden begin to trust one another again and just when they think it might work out, the other shoe drops. And it will jeopardize everything they have worked for. Will they be able to finally trust one another enough to weather the storm? Or is the past too much to overcome?

Fight for You by Nina Crespo is book two in the The Kingman Brothers Series. This is the story of Aiden Kingman and Delanie Clark. I have read the previous book but feel you can make this a standalone one if you choose to do so.
Aiden and Delanie had been involved with a business deal and lies came between them. Aiden had taken his father's side which left Delanie and her father to take the hurt. Now all the years later when Delanie was asked to help with a business restore deal it brought her back in connection with Aiden. Aiden knows that he messed up slowly tries to use this time to get a second chance with Delanie.
I enjoy a second chance romance so this worked for me.

For Delanie and Aiden a business deal signaled the beginning and end of their happily ever after. Can seven years of heartache and regret help them find their way to a second chance? Young love and foolish pride left two hearts in ruins. Aiden Kingman broke his own heart to impress his father. He loss the girl of his dreams and a project he truly believed in, to his father's manipulations. Seven years later, the past comes back to haunt him, when a business deal brings him face to face with the love he never forgot. Can the people they once were forgive the people they've become? Fight for You is a heartbreaking tale of regret, misunderstandings and pride. Crespo delves into the flaws that make us human and the hopes that give us the courage to move on. A heart tugger for sure.

Thanks to the publisher for an eARC to read and give my honest opinion.

Second chance romances do well when the characters are not so hung up on the past. I found that this book did well in that aspect. Usually I'm annoyed because there is always one character who just stays firmly with one foot stuck in the past. The huge moment that made one betray the other playing over and over in a loop... ridiculous right? I'm spared that in this cute read about a guy who had to leave a girl behind, not because he wanted to but because he thought it was best. Now... seven years later and their paths cross, most people would say that is kismet. Delaney and Aiden had some serious chemistry and I felt like a second chance was deserved. This is a second book in a series, and I didn't read book one but the characters are super fun. Three stars for entertainment!
