Reissued. This series is one of the first of Lauren Dane’s books I read. There is just something appealing about the Chase Brothers (there mother is pretty hilarious). I think the only thing I didn’t care for was the emphasis on her being older then him. Six years older than him is that big a deal.

This is the second book in the Chase Brother series and I will say I enjoyed this one better than the last. This book is about Marc and Olivia and their romance. Marc is the youngest of the four Chase brothers and is six years younger than Olivia, who used to date Marc's older brother Matt. Marc has always been the eternal bachelor but always leaves on good terms with his trysts. Olivia is at the point in her life where she wants to find a man to settle down and have a family with. She was heartbroken when things didn't work out with Matt and then was cheated on by her current boyfriend. All of this, plus some childhood circumstances, leave her wary of love and putting herself out there for love. Right from the beginning, she does not take Marc seriously because of the age difference and his past track record. Marc has a long road to take in order to convince Olivia to give him a chance but when she does the sparks flare! Of course there can't be some drama so when Olivia finds Marc in a compromising position due to no fault of his own, there will have to be some serious honesty in their relationship and compromises made.

Overall I would recommend the book. Lauren Dane has a good writing style and gets you engaged with the primary and secondary characters throughout. I had the most difficult time though with the Olivia and her unwillingness to bend, especially after she knew Marc was not at fault. I found this was similar in the second book in the series too and seems to be a theme. The main characters relationship just seem really abnormal even for a fictional romance book.

BOOK BLURB

Liv Davis had just about given up on her happily ever after. Burned by love more than once, she’s beginning to think Mr. Right wasn’t in the cards for her.

Marc Chase is a confirmed bachelor and lover of women—lots of them. He’s determined not to fall head over heels the way his brothers have. Until he kisses Olivia Davis and realizes head over heels may not be such a bad thing after all!

Can Liv open her scarred heart for this younger ladies man? She loves Marc more than she can begin to admit but she’s terrified of being rejected again. Marc faces a challenge greater than he’s ever faced before. Making a woman believe he’s more than just a great bedmate—making her believe he’s in it for good.

In the end it will all come down to two days in a hotel and a bet. Can they both win?

My Thoughts

Mr. Right keeps eluding Liv Davis. For years she has allowed herself to be drawn to men that she could keep at arms length which eventually lead to a break-up.

The last person she had a long-term relationship with however was the last straw for Liv. Finding herself alone again leads to the resolution that there would be no more dead-end relationships, instead she would find the man who would finally give her the chance for marriage and a home filled with children. No more would she settle for just no-strings sex, in her mid 30's Liv has no more time to waste.

What Liv does not want is to become involved with a younger man. A man who has proved that marriage is not something he has in mind since his reputation for having a revolving door where women are concerned is well earned.

Marc Chase and Liv have known each other for years with no reason for either one of them to change their relationship from friends to something more meaningful.

However both Liv and Marc have forgotten that the best laid plans take a backseat when we do not expect it to. Especially where the heart is involved.

A friends to lovers romance with enough heat to scorch your eyes and enough drama to keep the pages turning.

Another re-issue that I enjoyed and happy there is one more Chase brother so we get the chance to catch up with all the characters as well as see Matt Chase taken down just like the other three before him!

This is book three in the chase brothers series, Marc and Liv book, Marc is the youngest and wildest chase brother and Liv is the mayors assistant. I really liked that liv was older than Marc, of course li v doesn't think it'll work with their age difference so Marc talks her into going away with him for two days with nobody around but the two of them! No distractions of family and friends! That's where the fun begins! Lol it was a very well written book really hot, and some heartbreak! It wasn't my favorite of the series but not a bad read! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

A hot, drama filled friends to lovers romance story.

Olivia has been hurt by past lovers, including another Chase brother Matt, but the youngest Chase seems to have his eyes on Olivia. Marc Chase is a playboy, everyone in Petal knows that, but can he prove to Olivia that he is done with his playboy ways and is ready to settle down once and for all?

This is the first book I have read from Lauren Dane and the Chase brothers. It took me some time to get into the story, but once I was half way through I was able to fall in love with the story and with the characters.

I did find Olivia somewhat annoying at times. I understand that she has been hurt and that Marc is 6 years younger than her, but it was just annoying every time she brought it up. You do learn that she has some much deeper issues, but why not bring those up sooner?

I loved Marc. I loved how close he is with his family and gets them all in on his plan to woo Olivia.

Overall, this was a good story. I am curious about the other Chase brothers so I will definitely be checking them out.

I didn't like this book so much, I don't know if the season may be found in the characters, that I didn't particularly appreciate, or in the story (from friends to lovers) that has not been my favorite topic ever. I will probably read the next book because is the last one, but I appreciate the fact that the brothers were "only" four.

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

This is the first book that I read from the series and I must say I was not impressed. Marc and Olivia know each other for years and one day Marc starts feeling a strong attraction toward her. At first, denaying it but after sharing hot kiss he becomes determined to have here. Olivia wants husband and family but she had bad luck in finding the one. When Marc starts to show interest in dating her she doesn't believe him because of his reputation. Marc and she came to an agreement and they start seeing each other but Marc ex-ruins everything. I didn't connect with the characters. Although strong was Live full of insecurities. The plot was for me also so-so, especially arrangement toward the end of the book. It is not all about the sex an I had a feeling that there was too many of it like to fill the void.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly.

I struggled through this book, as I found it very easy to put down. The characters were ok, though a little bland. I didn't have any issues that she had dated his brother over a year (at least) ago. The scene transitions seemed a little choppy and the story itself didn't engage me the way I would expect. Overall, an ok story. *I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

The third book in the Chase Brothers series, Chased was an emotional, well delivered story. I enjoyed Marc and Liv and found this a great addition to the series.

These brothers do not mind "sloppy seconds." Marc was willing to play her game until she fell for him. Love a guy that will chase after his girl to show her that he's the one and worth the risk.

This is book 3 in the series about the Chase brothers who live in a small town. Liv is a family friend that dated Marc's older brother for years and they have broken up and have been broken up for years. Marc has always had a thing for her and he wants her very badly, so much that he goes after her.

Liv wants love but she is 6 years younger than Marc and she dated his older brother. typically I don't like those two tropes in a book but this one really worked and I really enjoyed the story mostly because I love Marc so much. He is mature and he knows what he wants and that is Liv. They are really terrific together and this is a great addition to the series.

I’m really enjoying this series. Chased is the 3rd book in the series however, the story is about the 4th brother Marc and his pursuit of Liv.

3 1/2 Stars out of 5
Chased is a series about brothers who find love. This one is about Liv a childhood friend who even dated one of the brothers before falling in love with Mac Chase 6 years younger than her.

The really isn't anything new and I didn't find the characters all that interesting. Even though the story basic girls falls for best friend who happens to date\sleeps with every woman he meets.

I was hoping for humors moments but there were very few. Making the story drag on.

Readers who enjoy the Chase Brother series I'm sure will love this story as well but for this review the story falls flat with unimaginative characters and a story line used one too many times.

I have LOVED every single one of the Chase boys.. I have to admit so far Shane is my favorite. Marc gave him a run for his money. I loved exactly how patient he was with Liv. I don't think you will see it everyday that a man is willing to patiently wait in line to get what he wants. He knew that he wanted Olivia and he went after her like something fierce. These Chase boys sure no how to make it hard for other men out there let me just tell you. This one was great.

One of the things I like about this series is that it really shows how a relationship develops over time, with weeks and even months passing in between interactions and events. I think it's realistic for how real relationships might evolve, especially when (like this one) it's friends to lovers, or one person isn't sure about entering into a relationship. In this case, Liv has dated one Chase brother, but now it's a few years later and her friendship with younger brother Marc has taken a turn towards romance. She's sure she wants a long-term relationship, but he's not. He takes some time to think about it and then decides to woo her. (the word "woo" is used A LOT.) It's a charming romance and a slow burn. Maybe a little too slow for me, but nevertheless, a realistic portrayal of the baby steps some take on the road to love.

An intense read! I loved how committed Marc is and how insightful. He is attentive and saw how deep Oliva's pain was buried. And he never gave up. I struggled a little with liking Olivia at times, but learning the depth of her pain helped. Overall a great book I know I'll come back to.

Love this series! Marc does not want to fall like his brothers- love- no way. Family friend and his brother's ex- Liz, is older- sexy and hard to resist. Can he be seen as somthing serious rather than the youinger playboy?

Marc, you know tries to do right by his lady and treating her good, “okay, let’s go down the hall before I take you here on the floor of my living room. I’ve already had you in a truck, I need to mind my manners now.” Marc is all for equal opportunity and he reminds his woman of that, “eff language, I’ve heard you curse a blue streak. In fact, I heard it about twenty minutes ago when you ordered me to eat your ***sy.” There are times when Liv is mad and all she is, is cute, “if I want to shrug, I’ll shrug. Don’t you tell me not to shrug. I’ll shrug if I want to.” I liked this book, I fell in l ove with Marc.
