Loved this emotionally thrilling, sweetly sexy and highly entertaining second chance romance. Could not put this book down from page one to the end..

Chase Ferguson and Miriam Andrix are trapped by a snowstorm in his mountain house getting a second chance to say all the things they didn't before... Highly enjoyed this engaging and relaxing escape from the every day.....

The entire premise that he gave up on their relationship without even talking to her because he was so sure it would be too much for her was rather insulting. This was an easy breezy romance, but nothing to write home about.

He's a mayor in Texas and she's a conservationist in Montana. A snowbound Thanksgiving weekend reunites these two lovers from ten years ago.. Rekindling their connection brings back memories of why they broke it off, but it also raises the questions of why can't it work? An easy to read steamy romance with an HEA.

Miriam Andrix met Chase Ferguson when he was visiting in her hometown in Montana. They parted when Chase realized that he needed to protect her from his public life. Ten years later, Chase is still in the public life. He has bought the mansion on the lake where they spent time during the summer. During a snowstorm, Miriam and Chase reunite.

This book fell flat for me. The characters had no dimension. Chase controlled their relationship by sending Miriam back to Montana.

I reviewed a complimentary ARC from NetGalley and the publisher.

I received a copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. This was a fun read. I haven’t read books by Jessica Lemmon but I will look for other books by her especially the books in this Billionaire series. There was the right amount of drama and romance.

I liked this story. Chase and Mimi had been in love 10 years ago, but he had sent her home for her own good. He was entering politics and she was an environmentalist. Both had grown since and a chance meeting had them getting together when she got snowed into his mansion. They both were bad at saying how they felt, so there was some ups and downs. The story moved along at a good pace and I really enjoyed it

In general the Desire line is moving to more complex stories with secondary storylines and well-developed supporting characters. Jessica Lemmon’s latest A Snowbound Scandal is none of these, so it stands out from the others. Lemmon crafts a true snowed-in story and the majority of the book is just the hero and heroine. This focus gives the reader a chance to get to know these characters even more deeply. Because of this hyper focused, the end felt a little rushed. I love both sides of Desire and can’t wait for more.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

The author did a good job with this book - it was fun, sexy, funny and a cute second chance romance. The only issue I had with it is that the ending felt a little rushed. The ending was maybe more complex than it needed to be, which I think led to the author tying it up so quickly. I liked the characters, and the story, just wished the ending hadn't felt the way it did.

I love holiday romances so much, and this one checked all those boxes. Chase and Mimi’s relationship isn’t perfect, and their forced proximity allows them to confront their true feelings for each other. While I didn’t love Chase’s gruffness at first, as the snow and his icy attitude started to melt, I totally saw what made him so charming to Mimi in the first place.

4.5 Stars
A Snowbound Scandal by Jessica Lemmon is book Two in the Dallas Billionaires Club Series. This is the story of Chase Ferguson and Miriam 'Mimi' Andrix. I have read the previous book and feel this can be a standalone book.
Chase and Mimi had a hot, heavy and quick love affair, but Chase made the decision to step away to protect Mimi to protect her. But now all these years later they meet again with the same hot feelings. But will Chase choose her this time and can they work through their doubts.
Overall enjoyed this book and will look for more books from this author.

I enjoyed this second chance romance that kept me entertained and engaged from beginning to end when oil billionaire and Dallas Mayor Chase Ferguson gets caught in an unrelenting blizzard with Miriam Andrix, director of student affairs at Montana Conservation Society. If you enjoy spicy and heartwarming romances, don't miss "A Snowbound Scandal". This is the first book I have read by Jessica Lemmon but I look forward to reading more from this talented author. I received an advance reader copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my unbiased review.

Jessica Lemmon resumes her Dallas Billionaires series with this story of the honorable billionaire politician and the woman he left ten years ago along with his heart.

While taking a winter break at his Montana mountain mansion Chase Ferguson finds himself face to face with Miriam Andrix, tree hugger and his only regret. He loved her but left her to protect her from the very public life of a politician. Can he leave her a second time?

After running into Shane at the local market, Miriam has things to get off her chest. When she goes to his place on Thanksgiving armed with a full meal, she only wanted to deliver the food and say her peace. She didn’t expect to get snowed in with him for days much less rekindle their old flame but can it survive the scandal that’s following them?

Miriam and Chase are attractive characters, both strong and independent. They met and had a wonderful summer together in which a deep bond formed. Being forced into closed quarters it was easy for sparks to fly. I really enjoyed getting to know them during this cute, sweet and sexy story.

A Snowball Scandall is book #2 of the Dallas Billionaires series by Jessica Lemmon.. It is a standalone second chance romance, told from both points of view with a happily ever after, no cliffhanger.

Love wins out.

I don't read a lot of Harlequin books any more (let me be clear, this is not because I disrespect them) but I have a few favorite authors that still write for them so I'll read their books.

Chase and Miriam (Mimi) met 10 years ago and fell in love. He sent her away to protect her, but didn't really let her know why, and broke her heart. They meet again 10 years later, when Chase vacations in a town near where Mimi lives and the flame is reignited.

This is a good forced proximity, as well as second chance, story and second chance stories are one of my favorite romance tropes. The sex in this story is HOT and I'm pleased to know that Harlequin has progressed from the days when I man's cock had to be called a member and can now be called a cock or dick. 😊

By the end of this book I was crying both sad and happy tears and that always means that a book was worth the time I spent reading it.

A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book.

A fun read of reunion and second chances, with a flash of heat. Recommend this one to any who enjoy this genre. This pair shows that sometimes distance and time can grow a relationship, or at least a chance to rekindle a sweet passion that's been banked to a tiny ember for 10 years.

I'm a fan of second chance romances and the snowed in/forced isolation tropes. So when I read the synopsis of A Snowbound Scandal, I knew I had to read it.

I thoroughly enjoyed Chase and Miriam's story. From their whirlwind romance that they wrote off as young love to a holiday blizzard that rekindled their passion, it's a sexy and delightful read that will have you rooting for these two to work it out.

I love second chance romance, and I love when the characters are stranded together trying to resist the pull of attraction, so I was a bit disappointed that I didn't love A Snowbound Scandal. I still liked it, but I didn't feel the love between the characters. Chase and Miriam fell in love in their early 20's, but they are from two different worlds, so Chase broke Miriam's heart and sent her away. Chase's family has ties to the oil industry, and he also wants to be in politics. Miriam is against things that harm the environment, but she was willing to make it work. Chase wasn't. 10 years later, Chase is in politics when a photo of his time with Miriam pops up and could cause him a scandal, so he travels to Miriam's hometown; which he happened to have bought a vacation home in, to give her a warning that she may be hounded about their time together. They end up trapped in his mansion because of a snow storm, and they begin to grow closer. They are fooling themselves that they are just scratching an itch, but can they really make it work in the long run? So, they do have some heat between them and there is some sweet moments. I just felt that Miriam was more into the relationship than Chase. She's the one that's always putting herself out there, and I felt the scenario of her going to his house was too desperate on her part. I felt Chase would've been fine marry some bland woman and having bland kids, if Miriam hadn't stepped up. He probably wouldn't have been very happy, but he doesn't man up. He always chooses his career over Miriam, and doesn't put her first, she's always the one. He waits for her to make the moves. I can tell he does care for her, but I didn't feel the deep passion from him. So, yeah, it's a good book, but there were some things that kept me from loving it.

This is my first book from Jessica Lemmon and I really love it.
A fast-paced sweet steamy second chance romance.
He's a billionaire and a very good Mayor and she's just a sweet country girl. They shared a heartbroken past. He thought he was protecting her by pushing her away and she thought he dumped her because she's not good enough in his world. So now when snowstorm hit them and force them to stay with each other the old flames start to crackling again, but will their love survived the snowstorm or they're too scared to repeat the past. Oh yesss loveeee the story, I can feel the heartbreaking and the struggles, although I wanted to slap some senses to Chase and Mimi most of the time, I can't not root for them, love this couple, from the banter to the steaminess, these two bring a big smile to my face. Can't wait to read the next book.

If you're looking for a fast-paced sweet steamy second chance romance, this book is definitely for you.

I enjoyed reading A Snowbound Scandal by Jessica Lemmon, book two of her Dallas Billionaires Club series. We have Chase Ferguson the Texas Billionaire who was also the Mayor of Dallas. His greatest regret was leaving Miriam Andrix to protect her from his public life ten years ago after spending the summer in Montana. That summer in Montana stayed with him and made such a huge impression on him that he ended up buying a lakeside mansion where he and Miriam had experienced some fun times. It’s now his vacation home, and he’s come for a solo Thanksgiving holiday. A chance encounter with Miriam ends up with her at his home, Thanksgiving dinner in tow as well as a blizzard that ends up trapping them. This time together gives them a chance to talk about what went wrong, and spend time having steamy, no strings attached sex, with both of them knowing that it can’t lead to anything more. Of course that’s easier said than done, especially when Chase’s opposition finds them together, hoping to use it to ruin him. Chase wants to protect Miriam, even if it means keeping her away from him in order for her to be safe. They have to decide whether being together is worth the risk and fortunately they make the choices that lead to a happy ending.

Ms. Lemmon wrote a wonderful and emotional story that is not to be missed. She drew me into the lives of her characters, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series which features Chases’s sister Stef’s book as she has a decidedly antagonistic relationship with his best friend and company security officer Emmett that is sure to make for a fun read!
