A laugh out loud passion filled read that keeps you engrossed fueling through the pages! Entertaining, intense, exciting, fiesty, emotionally gripping and captivating twists! An amazing read!

When a picture of Miriam shows up on Chase Fergusons desk while he is planning his re-election campaign for mayor of Dallas, he knows they is going to be a storm brewing and not the one he gets caught in when he goes back to the scene of the crime with Miriam 10yrs ago in Montana. Chase has regretted leaving Miriam all those years ago and was trying to protect her from the public scrutiny of his family and life. She of course did not see it that way as she was and still is in love with Chase. There lives and careers are so opposite from one another the one thing that can keep them apart forever.
When a snowstorm keeps them together in the Chases mansion over the holidays, the passion that has always been there between them heats up a mid cozy fireside chats and a hot tub. Cocooned in their passion, little do they know that the outside world is again working against them and all that they want from each other may not be what they get. Can the press and family pressures keep them together this time around and give them
I found this story a little slow in the beginning but by the middle of the book, it all came together. I found Chase to be a little cold and self absorbed, but he did warm up for me eventually and I loved Mimi, she was honest and straight forward. She was a loving caring persona and she was willing to give a life with Chase another go in hopes that her heart would not be broken again.
Lots of drama, passion and laughter to keep you warm on a cold snowy nights.
I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

I received this book through NetGalley for a honest review. I always like a good "trapped" loved story. This book had a bit of everything. Some jerk attitude that you know you want to hit, The will there be a happy ending? A girl with a attitude that can handle the jerk. This is the first time I have read Jessica Lemmon.. I will look for her other books. They add a relaxing day to the hectic summer.

I enjoyed this twist on young love being reunited after years apart. I found this to be a fresh look at this kind of romance & enjoyed the added benefit of it being set during a snow storm. I highly recommend reading Chase & Miriam’s story & look forward to seeing what the next book brings for the family.

I enjoyed the book and the back and forth hidden away love. Can time heal old wounds? Will past decisions and an unknown future continue to have a hold over Chase and what his heart desires?
A fantastic read.

Chase Ferguson and Miriam “Mimi” Andrix knew each other 10 years ago. Very well as a matter of fact, but neither could survive in the other’s lifestyle. A Snowbound Scandal by Jessica Lemmon tells their story from 10 years later amid a possible mayoral scandal involving Chase and an old picture of activist Mimi.
Chase Ferguson is now Mayor in Dallas Texas. Miriam “Mimi” Andrix is from Bigfork Montana still an activist in her own right but more teacher than doer these days. They couldn’t still be more on the opposite sides of life if they tried. 10 years ago Chase and Mimi started a love affair that lasted all summer, until their social standings and callings got in the way and Chase let Mimi go.
All Chase has wanted to do since that moment was get her back but he knew he couldn’t bend her to fit into his life in Dallas, just as he couldn’t fit into her life in Montana. He did keep tabs on her and bought the mansion they used to fantasize about living in together one day. He regretted that decision all these years later and when a scandal threatens to expose that relationship and use it for harm, he goes to Bigfork in hopes of making it right.
Mimi has received notice of the scandal threat too, and may have even Googled Chase to see what his life had become. Heading to the grocery store for Thanksgiving supplies she never expected to run into him in Bigfork. He gives her his private number and she later invites him to Thanksgiving dinner, which he declines. She then makes it her mission to give him a piece of her mind and set him straight about just exactly who she is.
Chase and Mimi go round and round about the past and who is responsible or not. An unexpected snowstorm traps Mimi at the Mansion for days and they find they are not quite as over each other as they would want the other to believe.
In the end, they both decide to go their separate ways again to live the lives they are currently living, separate from the other. But will they finally give love a chance to overcome the biggest obstacles in their lives?
I received an advance copy from Netgalley without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own.

Jessica Lemon is a new author for me, and this was a very quick read. It was good, but I wish there was more to it. Pretty much the entire story took place while they were snowed in, it just seemed like it was all too easy. It was hard to connect with the characters and though I don't know anything about politics, but why would pictures from 10 years ago impact a current election?

This is a second chance romance story. They were head over heels for each other, then he broke up with her and broke her heart, ten years pass and they run into each other. Now mind you they live in different states, he is a billionaire, and buys the mansion and beach front their romance took place at in the state she lives in. I had problems with the opponent running against him would use 10 year old photos of not him, but someone he briefly dated to try a smear him. His reasoning for dumping her, oh brother, and her need to make sure he had pie on thanksgiving, so she drives in a snowstorm to deliver it. If a man talked to me like he did to her before she left for her mother's home, I would have told him to shove the pie up his butt.
It is a fun quick romantic read, and great while sweltering in the heat of summer, so for that it was helpful. I received this ARC from NetGalley for an opinion

Ten years ago, when Chase crushed Miriam's heart in a misguided attempt to save her even more heartache, little did they know they'd be trapped together a decade later. More mature, more attracted than ever before. But underneath all that physical lust they find in each other a forever love. This was a great story of second chance at love that will fill any romantic heart with hope that love doea conquer all. Even a decade apart.

A Snowbound Scandal, by Jessica Lemmon is a contemporary romance and a part of the Harlequin Desire collection.
Several years ago, Chase Ferguson ended his summer relationship, since he was pursuing a political career and wanted to protect her from the public. Now, he regrets his decision and wants a second chance with Miriam Andrix, yet she's hesitant with her previously broken heart.
Due to unusual circumstances, Chase and Miriam end up stranded in his mountain holiday home in a massive snowstorm during the holidays. They are still attracted to each other and pursue a romantic relationship until reality returns.
A Snowbound Scandal is geared towards the fans of contemporary romances. Even though it's the second book in the Dallas Billionaires Club series, this book easily reads as a standalone.
Note: I received this book from Harlequin and NetGalley, which is a program designed for bloggers to write book reviews in exchange for books, yet the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This title is engaging as the couple had a previous relationship; a chance and uncomfortable meeting leave them wondering what would have happened becomes a rear as they become snowbound. Humorous, funny, and charming.

Lemmon fans hoping for a reunited lovers story are going to have their expectations fall short. While Miriam and Chase reconnect when he's alone in Montana for Thanksgiving, it's more to rehash the failure of their attempt at a relationship a decade earlier. They spend the entire book talking or thinking about how their differences mean they can't be together. Doesn't work as a romance as there is no clear resolution at the end.

Miriam Andrix was an environmentalist. She believed in taking care of earth and telling big oil to stop polluting. Little did she know that the man she fell in love with is none other than Chase Ferguson, oldest child of oil magnate company Ferguson Oil. Bowing to pressure, he believed they couldn't exist in each other's worlds. Now 10 years later he is in her home town. Will they be able to be decent to each other? They are older and wiser, yet they still manage to get under each other's skin. When all is said and done, Can Chase go back to Dallas and be mayor and can Mimi stay in Bigfort, MT and be an environmentalist? Love the ending!

I received this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review!
As the mayor of Dallas gearing up for a re-election campaign, Chase Ferguson has lead a safe life in order to avoid any scandal. So, naturally, his opponent in the election finds something to use against him. Deciding to head back to Bigfork, Montana, where it all began, for a Thanksgiving weekend alone, he runs into said something: former girlfriend Miriam. Bent on proving she's doing great without him, Miriam gets herself snowed in at Chase's mansion stubbornly trying to prove it. And the rest, they say, is the book! ;)
This is not the first book I have read by Jessica Lemmon, nor my first Harlequin Desire (although I usually don't pick Desire books, preferring the Intrigue or Romantic Suspense strains of the Harlequin universe). Both Jessica Lemmon and Harlequin didn't disappoint! If I ever want a nice, quick read while on a beach, on vacation, or on a long car trip, I can always depend on Harlequin for that.
For a quick read, however, the characters' personalities and backstories weren't skimped on, nor was the plot. It was engaging and hard to put down!
5 Stars! Loved it!
Now to try to find the first Dallas Billionaires book, and bunker down to wait for Stefanie's story!

Since Jessica Lemmon has written two of my favorite books I was overjoyed to be offered an ARC of her new project, A Snowbound Scandal. It will be available via bookselling locations on August 1st. As I enjoy Ms. Lemmon's writing I wasted no time diving into this new romance. I'm giving you my personal reflections to hopefully give you a heads up. Summertime is drawing to a close and we need to make the most of our last, for awhile, vacay time.
In my humble opinion you can't go wrong with this book. Ms. Lemmon knows how to write a jerk character, troubled relationships and difficult happy ever afters. Our hero (?) Chase Ferguson happens to be the current Mayor of Dallas, TX and an heir to the Ferguson Oil Corporation. 10 Years ago, during a romantic summer holiday, Chase met Miriam (Mimi) Andrix and it was love at first sight on the beach. Summer lovin' leads to a trip to meet his parents (yep, it's that bad). 10 years later Chase takes a Thanksgiving holiday break back to the scene of the epic love affair. Running into Mimi was an accident, wasn't it? They reconnect during a blizzard and it gets pretty hot, no frostbite here. But all the old problems still exist.
Ms. Lemmon has written a story of first love gone wrong, second chances, snowed in sex (what else is there to do?), fear and compromise. As I always say, a happy ever after is a given, it's the journey that counts. You'll have to get the book to read for yourself the twist in our story ending. It's pretty darn good if I do say so myself.

this is an interesting story. he is running for mayor again she gets stranded with him.. he thinks he has to be one way, but maybe there is something he can do . i

Jessica Lemmon did it again. This book completely captivated me. I found myself sneaking chapters in when I should have been doing something else. I loved the premise of the book.
Chase and Miriam had a summer fling ten years ago. Things did not end amicably. Fast forward ten years later and they run into each other. They end up getting snowed in together at Chase's mansion in Montana. As you can imagine, close quarters proved hard for things to not blow up.
The writing is absolutely fabulous. It pulls you in and makes you really care about the characters. The dialogue and chemistry she creates is completely realistic. I was fully invested with these characters. I think it speaks true volumes when an author can make fictional characters seem real to the reader.
Pick this book up if you are a fan of romance. You will not regret this one!

Oh the nostalgia, I used to devour the Harlequin Desire books when I was younger so when I saw this book being offered on Netgalley, I thought why not.
The book was okay for me, I've noticed some high marks for this book, but something about it did not work for me. This is a second chance story, which I do like, but they are not really my favorite. I felt like the reason Chase broke things off was just not enough reason. I also felt like Mimi did more to get back together than Chase did. Granted she kept saying they were not going back there, but her actions in the beginning and the end were the main reasons for them getting back together.
I am glad they got their HEA but honestly this was not a favorite of mine.
I received a complimentary copy of A Snowbound Scandal from Netgalley, all opinions are my own. Thank you Netgalley and publisher.

I love forced proximity tropes... and when it's being snowed in together? Forget about it- I love those types of set ups. Unfortunately, this book really didn't work for me. The hero never stopped being a high-handed jerk, and I was totally confused about why the heroine went along with it. This felt far too "old skool" for my taste. If you're not bothered by a hero who doesn't really change or grow, and you like this kind of trope, you might enjoy this book. The writing was fine and I would read other stories from the author. I was intrigued by the relationship clearly being set up between the hero's sister and his best friend, so I might keep reading for that story.

This was my first Jessica Lemmon novel. This is the second book in the series, but could be read as a stand-alone.
Chase and Mimi were together for a summer years ago in Montana.. Chase was on the fast track to either running his family’s oil conglomerate or running for office back in Dallas, TX. Chase made a decision to end their relationship for her benefit, as he felt that she would need to change who she was to fit into his life. I call BS. Nothing makes me furious more than a single person (man or woman) in a relationship deciding to break up with the other for “them”. Grow a pair. Fast forward 10 yrs and Chase is up for re-election and his opponent found an image of Mimi at a protest and will be sending it to the press to try to start a “scandal”.
Chase is already heading to Montana to get away and when he arrives, runs into Mimi at Whole Foods. After some small talk, she realizes he’s alone for thanksgiving. After she invites him to her family’s celebration and he refuses, she can’t get him staying alone on his mansion by himself on the holiday. After driving through a ridiculous snowstorm, she ends up being stranded at his house until the roads can be cleared. The close proximity force them for face their feelings (both past and present)..
I didn’t connect with the characters and the novel was a quick read that had the characters getting their HEA during a cute press conference (ala Notting Hill). I actually am more interested in seeing what happens with Stefanie and Emmett.
