I love all of the Rosato novels and this one is great but not her best. As usual Scottoline writes about a hot topic of sexual discrimination and the firm is being sued on the basis of only hiring women. The exploration of sexual discrimination is excellent, but there are too many story lines in this book and it can be a bit confusing. Mary, one of the main characters story is great but "The Tonys" is a repeat from previous books and I'm a little burnt out on their drama. I would've also like to have seen more of Bennie taking the lead in this novel instead of being a backup character. This does not fit Bennie's typical character. Overall it was an enjoyable read minus my few personal issues with the characters.

Feared is the latest installment in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. The women are getting sued for reverse sex discrimination! Three men claim that they were not hired because they are men. Adding fuel to the fire is that the firm's one male lawyer plans to resign. Bennie and Mary have a fight on their hands. But then someone close to them is murdered. If trying to save their law firm and solve a murder isn't enough, Mary is very pregnant with her first child. Stress levels are high!

This was another page-turner by Lisa Scottoline. A great legal thriller that does not disappoint!!

RATING: 4 STARS
2018; St. Martin's Press
(Review Not on Blog)

The latest instalment of Rosato & DiNunzio was a solid four star book. Nick Machiavelli is back and this time he's the lawyer to a group of men suing R&D for sexual discriminations. Mary has beaten Machiavelli in court before, and knows that he will hit her and the firm with all the dirty tactics he can. Foxman, one of their own quits the firm and doesn't deny the allegations. This could destroy R&D. Oh, and of course there is a murder... This was one I could not put down and I am ready for the next book!

I have been a big fan of the legal thrillers penned by Lisa Scottoline and this one was an enjoyable read, as I expected. It was not one of the best in the series, but it was still a fun visit with the ladies and gentlemen of Mary DiNunzio's world. In this book Nick Machiavelli has sued the three partners of the law firm for sex discrimination. The one male lawyer in the firm, John Foxman, causes issues when it is revealed that he is looking for a job elsewhere and that he feels uncomfortable working at a firm of all women. Mary and Nick have had problems in the past and the ladies are sure this is personal, and that he has manufactured the suit. It is up to them, particularly Mary, to figure out what is going on. When a death occurs, it ramps up the immediacy of solving this case.

One of the things I love about these books is Mary's neighborhood, with all the characters, friends, her parents and other neighbours. It is a huge, Italian group where they may not be related by blood, but they are related by love. The nicknames are priceless. Mary is pregnant and due to deliver any day when this case hits, and the concern and nosiness is fun and refreshing. It reminds me a lot of the family in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", except that they're Italian. Mary, Benny and Judy are great colleagues. Benny is not that friendly with the others, but Mary and Judy have a special relationship and that buoys both ladies up when they are in trouble. They are also smart, tenacious and loyal to one another which makes for a great firm. The case is solved in an unconventional and unexpected way, with the reason behind the suit not being what anyone thought is was. Overall, Feared is a fun, easy to read, legal thriller with colorful characters that had me laughing out loud at the humor. Although you can read this book as a standalone, I recommend that you start at the beginning so you don't miss any of the fun.

I love all the Rosato & DiNunzio novels and the prior related series Rosato & Associates. Exposed and Feared were no exception. Although Feared was my favorite of the two and one of my favorite of the stories about the "all female law firm" precisely for the fact that the book centered on the possible discrimination issues arising from that very conceit.

Exposed was great in that it really showed some character growth for Mary who has always struggled with asserting herself outside the courtroom and this is further built upon in Feared. Scottoline always does a fantastic job of balancing the personal dramas of the characters we loved throughout the series as well as providing a thought provoking legal dilemma.

While this series does not need to be read in order, I highly recommend it so that you can develop a relationship with Mary, Bennie and everyone working at the Rosato & DiNunzio firm. I don't know if a follow-up to Feared is planned but it's still my hope that we get a new book soon featuring attorney Anne Murphy who hasn't carried a book on her own since Courting Trouble.

Final Verdict: 3.5/5 Stars for Exposed; 4/5 Stars for Feared

I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this at the moment. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!

I am sort of conflicted about this book, while the book has his charm with great amounts of drama and thrill, I kind of felt disconnected with the characters and the story as a whole.

This is the sixth book in the series following the story of Mary DiNunzio, who runs a law firm which is being sued for reverse sex discrimination by her old time nemesis,Nick Machiavelli. Things get more complicated when there is murder added to the mayhem and now, Mary and her partners must do everything they can to protect the firm and its interest.

Take this review as a grain of salt because it may just be a ME problem. I think that the story is well-plotted and I really liked the writing style as well as the female and family dynamic in the book. However, it took me a very long time to really get interested in the story and even then I felt, the ending quite rushed.

I haven't read all the previous books in this series and while this book can be read as a standalone, I think I would have enjoyed it much more if I had read all the previous books first. That out of the way, you can sure try it if you love reading light and cozy mysteries.

Lisa Scottoline never disappoints! I adore this series and all the off-shoot series she’s developed. I feel like I know each character individually and love each one. I do suggest to start with some of the earlier ones to really get to know the characters but I did find it easy to connect with the characters and the legal storylines worked well as standalones. This was a quick, fun read.

Scottoline never ceases to amaze me with the complexities of her plots. Feared has some characters that just make you want to throw them in the river! This is a page-turner for sure!

I am a huge fan of Lisa Scottoline, and this book did not disappoint! This was my first Rosato & DiNuzio adventure, but I will definitely be checking more out!

Told in the expected Scottoline way through plot twists and adventurous turns, you will get sucked into Mary DiNuzio's newest case. Her nemesis, Nick Machiavelli is willing to do anything to take down the firm he has lost too in the past.

This book is seriously so good! Don't miss it!

Another fantastic novel by Lisa Scottoline. I had a tough time putting this novel down once I started reading. A legal thriller with an interesting case makes for a cozy weekend with a cup of tea and the mystery of whodunnit.

Another great book in the Rosato & DiNunzio series!! Had to catch up on the older ones before I started this one, but it can likely be read in any order.

Well written thriller. It keeps you thinking and eager to find out what happens with each turn of the page. It is an engrossing mystery novel with wonderful characters. This is a story that keeps you guessing, which is a wonderful thing in a mystery and keeps you interested in the story as well as concerned about the characters adding to keeping the reader engaged..

I do love books in a series and I really enjoy Lisa Scottoline...however I somehow missed this series. This was one of those can't put down books and ended way to fast. The characters in this series are smart and loyal. There's a twist at the end that I truly didn't see coming. I had no clue as to the identity of the culprit until it was revealed. Well done!

Now I have to read 1-5!

Thank you to Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Feared by Lisa Scottoline 6th book in the Rosato/DiNunzio series and my first Scottoline book. I don't like to jump into a series this far in as I feel the characters' back stories contribute to the enjoyment of the current book. I did not have too much difficulty getting into the story and the plotline, so it was not a major problem. Antitrust law, sexual harrasment, viscious competing law firms and murder make for a great legal thriller. 3.5 stars
