Noelle Adams wrote a great book! Part-Time Husband has all the elements of a wonderful and enjoyable Adams read. It's also a return to the easier authorial voice that hasn't always been there lately.

Melissa and Trevor are a wonderful couple. Both are fighting battles that underscore their individual needs to belong and matter. They find that belonging with each other, despite their wariness and fears. Melissa's overbearing grandfather, whom she loves dearly, has really set the cat among the chickens when he threatens both her job with the family company and her sisters' livelihoods. Melissa is determined to make him pay and she does so by convincing the one man her grandfather hates to marry her. It's obvious from the start that Trevor is marrying her for a whole lot more than to make her grandfather mad or even to help her save her job. Melissa can't see that though, and it takes some work to get her to the point where she sees his good points.

Trevor has a lot of things going for him. He's kind to animals... wait. He's a wonderful son, a good business man, a good friend, and very gentle with Melissa even as he challenges her and her perceptions. He's smart and funny, generous and sexy, and definitely wants a full marriage. I liked how he pushed Melissa and her sisters to see things differently and how he put himself on the line at sweet moments. His obvious vulnerability just underscored how good a guy he is.

When the "Big Misunderstanding" happens, it's obvious that he's been goaded into a reckless position that he doesn't mean. I loved how both his family and Melissa's sisters help them find their way back to each other. That sense of family and togetherness is a hallmark of Adams' books. Trevor's family, in particular, was quite poignant and added a layer of love to the book. While Melissa's sisters didn't make quite the same impression, I do look forward to their books. Granddad can just go suck a lemon though! He didn't impress me at all. Even knowing he is doing this mostly out of love, it didn't help much.

This book is thoroughly enjoyable and I'm definitely looking forward to the other books in this series because this one is just so sweet and fun and wonderful.

A must read...this is one feel good HEA romance that’ll literally keep you engrossed and reading from beginning to end. Very seldom has a story jumped out to surprise me by what I expected and what I received by reading it. There’s intelligence and humor interlaced throughout the dialog, with the perfect amount of smart, wry, and witty banter.

There’s so much to love about the story that I find myself now waiting for the next installment in the series; I can say with all certainty that just as with the other books by Ms Adams I’ve read, I won’t be disappointed.

Loved this book.
She needed to find a husband to stop her grandfather demoting her at work. So she goes and marries Trevor just to annoy him. But best laid plans.... Will they fall for each other for real?

I have read a number of Noelle Adam’s book before and liked them. This was another lighthearted and enjoyable romance, which despite its predicability was fun. I liked Trevor’s character as there was a vulnerability about him, despite the arrogant facade, which was refreshing.
An easy book to read in one sitting without having to think hard.

I loved it. This is my first Noelle Adams book and what a great story. It's got all the feels and emotion that comes from two people who are in an odd position and while growing closer neither will admit their vulnerability. I loved Trevor and Melissa both, great characters and fantastic plot. Trevor drops some one liners that really made me laugh and even managed to make Melissa laugh. She's wound so tight and Trevor manages to help her relax. In more ways than one and God help her she really needed it. I'd take Trevor any day, smug or not. These two were a great match and despite the circumstance I thought they were perfect. You read the blurb, now read the book and get the full story of how this comes about and watch their relationship unfold and soak up some steam while you're at it.
Fantastic read!

Well this story didn't disappoint! This is the first book by Noelle Adams that I have read and I enjoyed it so much that I have since looked up her other books and plan to read them very soon!

Melissa is the main character and the story is told from her point of view. She is ambitious and driven to show her 'pop' that she is capable of doing her job. Her pop insists that she must marry soon. So to keep him off her back and to be able to carry on with her work she hatches a plan to marry a man that her pop really dislikes!

To say I disliked pops in this story would be an understatement! I just wanted to shake him and tell him to back off! But I suppose I wouldn't have had the fab story of Trevor and Melissa if he had!

I really need to read more Noelle Adams. The last two books of hers that I read worked for me on every level. I loved Melissa and Trevor and the way that their relationship developed. I was so sad to see this one end but was so satisfied with the ending that I cannot complain. I know I will be rereading this one soon.

Noelle Adams gave the most incredible intense love story with Part-Time Husband!

When Melissa is given an ultimatum by her grandfather, whom holds the her whole world in her hands she decides to play a game with him and try and do whatever it takes to beat him at it.
She goes to the one man her grandfather despises Trevor Bentley , she makes him an offer he cant refuse.
When her grandfather takes the bait she things everything is going as planned until fate steps in and lines get crossed. Melissa doesn't know what hit her and her attraction to Trevor is far more then she ever imagined. When sparks start flying and the fireworks explode nothing will ever be the same!

The sexual tension is intoxicating, Noelle wrote in such away that I couldn't put this book down it was that good! I can not wait to see what she has in store next!

I LOVE Noelle Adams as a writer but this story seemed a lot dryer than most of her stories are. The star of this story is Melissa and this is only in her view point. She is he oldest of three sisters whose parents died at 14. Her life is her job where she works with her grandfather. One day her grandfather tells her to get married and so she does.

Trevor is her grandfathers nemesis, and he is obnoxious and annoying and she decides to really annoy her grandfather he would be the perfect groom. He agrees and they get hitched. While the storytelling was very dry, I felt like it was very in character with who Melissa is. She likes things very cut and dried and is very anal.

Trevor really shakes up her world and as he does, she softens and I started to love this story. I would have preferred a dual point of view but the author really took us into Melissa's head and I really fell hard for Trevor as Melissa did.

Part-Time Husband, Trophy Husbands Book 1,  Noelle Adams

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Women's fiction, Romance

Once more, Women's fiction. Why? Why do we try to cut out a whole section of readers, who says men don't read romance :-(

So, this was a fun read, predicable but that's fine. Sometimes its the actions, the characters that count and it doesn't matter you can see where the story is going.
I liked Trevor, he is very sure of himself but not in an obnoxious way IMO, just very, very confident of himself and his abilities.
Melissa is a sweet woman, but I felt her determination to stay in the job she has partly because she loves it, has worked for it and of course loves her grandfather was understandable but to marry someone? Somehow that was a step to far for me. Still, she did it and it wasn't long before feelings – on both sides – crept in.
Her grandfather, she says he loves them, he's brought her and her sisters up but I found him to be an overbearing, misogynistic old man. I really can't see how anyone who loved his family could take the decisions he did.
The story is sweet, plays out as expected, and was an easy read. No great dramas, just some hot and steamy sex, strong personalities, and an ending we can see coming....

Stars: Three and a half, its better than just a three/good read but not quite up to a four for me. If you can put aside a grandfather who pushes his family round like pawns, then its a cute, sweet romance, with some serious sensual scenes to liven it up, and an easy one to take on holiday to relax with.

Part-time Husband is the first book in the new Trophy Husbands series. Melissa’s grandfather threatens to reduce her role at work if she doesn’t get married. So, to satisfy her grandfather’s request and get a little revenge at the same time, so proposes to Trevor, someone her grandfather detests. While Melissa and Trevor don’t know each other well, sparks fly between them from the beginning. They get their happily ever after and the stage is set for the next book in the series!

Sadly, I couldn't even bring myself to finish this book. I was intrigued by the description to find out what had prompted her to have to propose marriage AND share a bed with a man she hated. But once I found that out, I completely lost interest in the story.
