A very cute little book with an important message to learn. Would recommend to anyone thinking of trying this out. Will be reading others by this author.

This is a cross between a comic book and a cookbook. It is perfect for a young budding cook or chef. The recipes are simple and easy to prepare such as Ants on a Log or Green Monster Smoothies. The illlustrations consist of four animals in the kitchen preparing the foods and having fun interacting together. It is not a long book, there are only five recipes along with some safety tips and equipment such as an apron. The recipes are written in clear, easy to understand directions for kids. There is also an introduction for parents explaining the importance of cooking with children. At the end, the animals all go out and get exercise because that is just as important as healthy eating. This would make a great addition to a family's recipe book collection or as a gift for a budding chef!

I just received a PDF of this from Dogear Publishing to read as the Kindle edition wasn't downloading very well. Thank You Matt!
Ok! I think this little cookbook for kids is great! These are all recipes just made for middle grade schoolers. One can't go wrong with Ants on a Log or Green Monster Smoothies, among several others! The illlustrations, of 4 animals in the kitchen preparing the foods and having fun is a nice touch! I like the all the critters interact, and am sure the kids will, too. The book doesn't appear to be too long and the recipes aren't too complicated, tho a few may need some parental assistance, so kids will stay engaged. I like that the author has a bit on kitchen safety ad that the recipes are written in clear, easy for kids to understand language. It would make a nice gift for a budding chef!

A children's illustrated cookbook, full of healthy and tasty recipes. I can see this being a wonderful gift for children who are interested in learning more about cooking, and wanting to have some fun while doing it. Personally, I loved that the chefs were all animals, and that the recipes were all vegan.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sending me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!

Adorable book! Has recipes that are both healthy and sound tasty and yet are still Vegan. Suitable for Elementary age students, their classrooms, their libraries and their families. I love the idea that aprons are just superhero capes on backwards!
