Ooh, yes, Gina Maxwell hit this one out the park! I was a bit hesitant going in because of Austin's type of kink, but as the story progressed and we get to see his kink in action, it didn't bother me like I thought it would. I actually thought it was kind of hot! The heat and chemistry between Austin and Emi is all kinds of hot, and I liked that Emi ain't no shrinking violet, damsel-in-distress woman, and that she was actually able to save herself!

A really fun and light read! The characters were very relate-able and I loved that the girl saves herself in this one!

This is a story that focuses on Forced Fantasy and while I wasn't sure how I'd feel about reading the intimate scenes I can say Gina tackled Austin's kink in an acceptable way for me as a reader.

I
I will say that this was the first book I've read with a Forced Fantasy theme and I wasn't sure I'd be ok reading the intimate scenes.

The intimate scenes are not violent in nature, no characters are harmed, and the plot is concise and moves fast.

Looking beyond the unique way these two need to fulfill their intimate desires, the story was very interesting. Two people must come to terms with being accepted for who they are, what they desire and the expectations from their family.

I'd be interested in reading the other books in this series to find out how it all began.

The moment he spies Raven walking onto the stage Austin is left completely breathless, she is beautiful, captivating, and carries a strong air of mystery... and he wants to solve every little tidbit there is about her. Then they share a heated exchange, and he sees it, a little glimmer of himself in her eyes, and it lights a fire inside of him, he has to get her into his bed... but first he has to convince her to give him a shot! His naughty temptress has a few secrets, ones that she likes to keep under-wraps from her wealthy family, so getting close to her might take some work, but he's ready to put in the time and brings those secrets to light.

By day Emi lives a quiet and charmed life, but by night she is Raven, an exotic dancer who keeps men on the edge of their seats and dying for a chance to spend a little time with her. There have always been expectations placed on Emi, her father was a ballet dancer, so naturally she followed in his footsteps, but nothing gives her satisfaction like her time on the pole. It gives her a chance to be free, be the woman she really wants to be, and embrace the side of herself she doesn't let anyone else see.... that is until her eyes connect with a gorgeous man in the audience, and his eyes mirror the same things she's feeling!

Merciless is a dirty little page-turner that will lure you in from the very first sentence, and hold you hostage until the last!!! I have been anxiously waiting for this one, as soon as I met Austin I knew he had a good story to tell, and man o'man was I right... his story was the hottest installment yet!! It was kinky, intense, emotional, uplifting and good for the heart... and I loved every single minute of it! Highly recommend this series, beneath each delectable cover you will find a a playboy that is destined to rock your world!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

I loved loved loved reading Shameless. Emi and Austin though come from totally different backgrounds, Emi a retired ballerina from a rich family and Austin, a firefighter and part time stripper, have something in common that brings them together.
Their chemistry is sizzling, their connection amazing, the push and pull between them keeps you guessing. Am totally in awe of Austin, he is the perfect Hero.
This is the third book in the playboys in Love Series, and though it can be read as standalone (I haven’t read the 2nd book in the series, which I will correct asap), I enjoyed connecting with the previous characters (from book 1) and look forward to more.

Gahh!! The minute I read the blurb for Merciless I knew I needed it!! Gina L. Maxwell's novels are ALWAYS hot, sexy and has a storyline that just won't quit. I LOVED this story and Austin and Emi. I thought it was sexy, romantic and filled with a delicious connection that could not be denied.

Merciless is the third installment in the Playboys in Love series but is a complete standalone. This one was my favorite in the series as it has a darker edge than the previous books in the series. In it, Austin and Emi give into their darker desires and need for forced fantasies/roleplay.

I thought this story was hot AF. I loved that both Austin and Emi felt that their relationship was a safe ace where they could act out their darker passionate needs with one another. I also loved the group comraderie with Addison, Roman, Jane and Chance. This was such an amazing book and I look forward to more from this author in the future.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Bravo! 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

Settle yourself in for this one ladies and prepare yourselves to read yet another incredible book from Gina Maxwell. She never ceases to amaze me, but this one- this story took my breath away. The incredible steam combined with two characters you will love from the beginning it's the ultimate read. Stellar writing, while dealing with a sensitive topic she does so perfectly, that just pulls you right into the story and does not let go.
When Austin meets Emi, he sees in her as though he's looking in the mirror. The same deep, dark desire and his need to pursue her begins. Emi, the moment she locks eyes with Austin feels the same pull. A pull she's trying to understand, and one that Austin gently and oh so seductively, leads her through. I loved these two characters together. They made sense. It's not all smooth sailing for the two of them as Emi, a former ballerina and daughter to an extremely overprotective father who has conveniently arranged her marriage interferes and his timing couldn't have been worse. It was great to see the characters from the previous books (and yes you should read those) Emi was embraced by his friends, never having friends before; her backstory is telling.
This book could not have been better, it sucked me in from the first page and gave me one heck of a book hangover when I finished. Stellar writing, an incredible hot story, Gina sails this one over the top. It deserves far more than 5 stars.
