Mari Carr's April Fools is a funny and engaging romance. The humor in this book reminds me of Brooklyn Nine-nine.

They say two heads are better than one.
Fiona Adams has a man problem—she has too many in her life. And thanks to her unconventional family, she’s wondering if she even has to settle for just one. Owen is the sweet boy (turned sexy man) she dated in college; Asher is the hot hunk starring in too many current fantasies. Both, unfortunately, are her coworkers, part of the writing team for the hit sitcom Wild Winters. She’s lucky her dear friend and third writing partner, Teddy, is gay, or she’d really be in trouble. Fiona’s resigned herself to having neither man…until the team decides to film the sitcom’s season finale in her family’s bar, Pat’s Pub. While in Baltimore, under the influence of her crazy family and a wild April Fools party in the Collins Dorm, Owen and Asher take matters into their own hands—literally. Soon, between all the hot nights and real-life drama, the team can barely concentrate on work. It’s becoming a case of life imitating sitcom…even more so when Fiona’s most recent ex, Mr. Big Gesture himself, shows up to win her back—with his biggest gesture yet.
I hadn’t read this author in a while, but it was the previous generation to this current series, so while I enjoyed the book, I also enjoyed trying to remember all of the characters referenced and who popped up in the book. All I can really say about Fiona is that she’s a total hoot and I wish I had a friend like her. My life would be SO much more exciting. I enjoyed this story as it evolved around her, Owen, Asher, and Teddy so much so that I might have skipped out on a few hours of sleep. I also really loved the swerve! I can’t wait to read the next story from this author.

I like menage books. I love books with triads. What I don't like are books where the third person is added for a scene or two, but in the end, he doesn't get a happy ending. The blurb made me think that we would have a triad, but the threesome that we got was more of a way for Fiona to choose the man she wanted the most. Up to the point I read, the didn't even have sex but did other things. And I was not a fan. Especially when this is more of a love triangle than anything else. I love Mari Carr's books but this was not for me.

I think this book would be more enjoyable if I knew any of these people before I started reading. I had no idea that this was part of a rich series before it, so I just felt a bit lost a lot.

I found myself not enjoying reading this one very much at all. The characters are rather immature and the story wasn't really what I expected from the summary.

Fiona was on top of the world with her best friends. Their professional lives had definitely changed when their idea for a sitcom was sold. Working together everyday was a dream come true. The only part of their lives that was in total chaos were their personal lives. Endless relationships that were stuck in a merry go round. Fiona hesitated with moving would forward with her life since she settled for a relationship that had zero risks, the feeling of being comfortable became second nature and waiting for the next big statement had finally came to an end. Having to make a decision Ethernet her two best friends was a decision she would not enter into lightly. Great story by Mari Carr! Her stories are ones you can make a connection to the characters and hope they find the one who completes them.

That was H-O-T!
Surprisingly HOTTTTTTT!

This book was forever on my Kindle, I was wrong about it, I thought it was YA drama-lama.
Although sometimes it looked like YA a bit.
From friends to lovers... With twist. Oh my god, was is hot!

They both known each other for years, they both had experience with other people before they felt in love with each other

While I have enjoyed several books by Mari Carr, I’m afraid this just wasn’t one of them. It comes down to my preference in romance and not the author’s writing though. I don’t want to give away the plot, but I will say that I prefer my romances to have a clear idea of who the romantic lead characters are.

If you are following the Wilder Irish series, then you'll know that book 3 was an emotional overload. Therefore, Mari needed to reward us with something lighter. Enter Fiona.
A fun, talented member of the Collins family is back at the pub temporarily with her best friends, Asher and Owen and Teddy.
Who will end up being Fiona's dream guy? Or is it guys? If you have read any Mari Carr then you'll know that there are plenty of ménage relationships scattered throughout her many series😏

I'll say no more, but there are plenty of hot and heavy moments and a great hea.

Can't wait for more 💕

Mari Carr....You've done it again. This is a wonderful story about great friends, crazy relatives and love. Couldn't put this book down. I'd love to read more about the other members of the family and will be looking for books about them. Great job Mari Carr.

April Fools is not a joke. This light hearted but still drama filled book is a perfect blend of fun, flirty, and filthy. Friendship, family, and more are a huge part of this love story. Mari Carr has you tripping over your lust and wishing for a big gesture. Just not from the usual giver!

Sweet, sexy and tinged with the sadness that lingers from a lost love in her previous book, April Fools is a pick me up I didn't expect. I haven't read March Wind, the previous book in this series, or any of the Wilder books. Just something about this one had to be enjoyed. Now that I know what I'm in for, it looks like I'm going to get a lot "wilder". (Giggles)

I'm a bit messy while reading the story, but overall it's fun to read with. Highly believe I have to read the previous books in the series to connect all the dots in the story.

This was my first book by Mari Carr, but it won’t be my last. While April Fools is actually the 4th book in a series it can be read as a stand alone. The author does a good job at explaining the world so you don’t feel lost. April Fools centers around a group of friends writing a TV show. It was sweet, and steamy! I can’t wait to dive back into this world and read the first 3 books.

Fiona has three best friends who happen to be male. She comes back to her hometown to shoot the finale to the television series she is a part of. When Fiona and her friends host an Anything Goes party, things between her friends change. This book was definitely a page turner with some turn of events. I absolutely loved the book and couldn't put it down.

The summary is meant to…summarize the book. However, in this case, the ending is so far from what the summary suggested that I was incredibly disappointed. That said, the writing is done well and it’s a short, light read.

Ms. Carr really flips the script with this story ending and I am pleased to say that I couldn't put this book down. Fiona, Asher, Owen and Teddy take you on a humorous ride along to a taping of the hit show. I couldn't love a book more. Thank you for writing a story with fun, laughs and steam.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun and super quick read. The “erotica scenes” were well written without being cheesy or overdone. I would definitely read more from this author !
