I received a free ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was an okay read. It wasn't quite as i expected. The pictures were bright but there wasn't a lot of Santa.

The Holiday Heroes looks like a new series for children with The Holiday Heroes Save Christmas being the first. This series features all those lovely characters we associate with various stories of our youth; Santa, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy, A Leprechaun and a Witch. This one is about Santa getting very sick. What happens when Santa gets a high fever and sore throat on Christmas Eve? How in the world will the Christmas presents get delivered? This is where the Holiday Heroes come in! Santa Claus can count on his friends to help out. The only problem is that they don't know how to be Santa Claus, they only know how to be themselves and so things in certain ways. Will Santa be able to save Christmas by helping his friends do Christmas the right way? Will the heroes be able to undo what they have already done? This is a great story about helping out a friend in need. It shows how anyone can use their individual talents and gifts to cooperate with others to accomplish a goal or task. Kids will love this colorful and funny book, told in a graphic novel style, about all of their favorite holiday characters. A great book for a primary classroom or family library. The publisher, Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, generously provided me with a copy of this book upon request, to read. The rating, opinions and ideas shared are my own.

This book is just plain fun to read. We start the book with a profile of the heroes in this story and Santa Claus is the first one up. We learn that his catchphrase is It's go-ho-ho time!, he dislikes spoiled milk and one of his strengths is being an excellent hugger. The other characters in this story include; the Tooth Fairy, the Witch, the Easter Bunny, and the Leprechaun and we get to see all of their profiles to learn more about them. The story involves Santa being unable to do his job this Christmas and he must depend on the other Holiday Heroes to help him out. The problem is that they all do things their own special way and that's not the way that Santa does it.  You will have fun reading how everyone comes to a solution and makes Christmas possible.

We all get sick, right? But what about Santa Claus? What happens when he gets a high fever and sore throat on Christmas Eve? How in the world will the Christmas presents get delivered? This is where the Holiday Heroes come in! Santa Claus can count on his friends - the Tooth Fairy, the Leprechaun, the Witch, and the Easter Bunny - to help out. The only problem is that they don't know how to be Santa Claus, they only know how to be themselves. The Easter Bunny hides the Christmas presents around the houses, the Tooth Fairy hides them under pillows, the Leprechaun just looks for loose change, and the Witch turns the cookies to spiders. Will Santa be able to save Christmas by helping his friends do Christmas the right way? Will the heroes be able to undo what they have already done? Will the holiday heroes save Christmas? Read this preciously illustrated, humorous story about friends helping out friends.

This is such an adorable story about helping out a friend in need. Kids will love this colorful and funny book about all of their favorite holiday characters. Do not miss this one this holiday season!

This is a different type of Christmas book. It will make for a nice change during the Christmas book season. It's a lot of fun and the kids will get a real kick out of it. The illustrations are also very appealing to kids.

Cute story for the holidays with beloved characters and a nice little storyline. Different from the regular stories you might read around the holidays. The illustrations are well done and it is nice to introduce other holiday characters into the Christmas world. A fun idea!

I enjoyed reading Holiday Heroes Save Christmas. It wasn’t the story I expected it to be, and this was a good thing. The characters each had funny quirks about them, and hilarity ensued when they tried to save Christmas. Things went wrong fast, but working together they did soon find a way to get the hang of his job. I can see kids of all ages have a blast reading this story.

This is a fun holiday story for the entire family. It is written as a picture book/graphic novel where the action is told by the narrator in gold boxes, the characters get their own speech bubbles, and the illustrations move not just page by page, but frame by frame. This is a very successful book that I see being a hit this holiday season.

This is a very cute book with all our favorite heros; Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Leprechaun, Wicked Witch. They are called heros for a reason. Santa is sick and the rest must save Christmas for the children. Can they do it? What mishaps with occur. Check in to see what Santa's # 1 Rule is for Christmas. Each of the heros uses their special skills to help out on the present delivery. One thing that is cute in this book is that there is a fact sheet for each of the heros with their skills, real name, likes and dislikes. It adds a nice touch to the story.

There is a lot that I enjoyed about this book but it does fall short in the end. Santa is too sick to deliver presents so he enlists the help of the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, the Witch, and the Leprechaun to get the presents out for the holiday. I have to say that the profiles of each character was a nice touch and I felt I learned more with those than within the actual story. I was reminded of The Guardians and Nightmare Before Christmas plot-wise. There are some very cute moments within the story and the illustrations are very fun and silly but it does seem to missing a bit of heart and depth. The younger audience will surely enjoy this book with no problem and it's a good book for the holidays.

A very cute premise, however it could have been so much more.. I kept waiting for something more to happen with the array of characters that were involved, but it just ended.
