I had a hard time getting into this story. The writing was a little unorganized and rambling. The plot was original and thought provoking. Graham gets an email from his brother and embarks on a journey that might change human kind. Includes government spies, political intrigue and medical impossibilities. He follows clues that include the zodiac, the bible and history to solve the cryptogram his brother sent. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Reading Decoding the Phoenix was like riding the Teacups at an amusement park. You spin from one thought to the next while racing along the storyline track. The book compares to The Da Vinci Code but with an astronomy base instead of Catholic symbolism. I don't follow astronomy myself, so I didn't make some of the connections that the author prepared (but I trust in its accuracy). It was still the kind of story that grabs you and keeps you running to the end. I really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone that likes conspiracy theories, thrillers and symbolism.
