I really enjoyed this one. I went into it with no expectations since this is a new author for me. I was pleasantly surprised with what I found. The book is very well written and I adored these characters. The story had a nice flow as well as very well developed characters. The author did a great job of letting us really get to know Jax and Natalie both past and present. This is a great second chance romance with Jax and Natalie reunited after six years apart. There were a couple of small timeline issues I had with the story but that's more my OCD than anything else. Overall though it's a very enjoyable book and one I would definitely recommend to everyone.

This second chance romance had me roped in from the beginning. I loved Natalie from the moment that Jax described the girl he knew 6 years earlier but Jax is complicated mess now. This is a couple with a lot of obstacles to overcome and I appreciate the fact that it's not an easy road for them to find their happily ever after.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Wild Child tells us the story of Natalie and Jackson, they were crazy in love with each other 6 years ago and on a huge misunderstanding everyone thinks the other made fun of him.

Natalie comes from a normal family, she tends to make herself indispensable to everyone, in Little Bear Island, everyone knows Natalie and everyone loves her. She's a lovely young girl who would like to get off her island one day, Jackson broke her heart and she's having trouble getting over it. I liked Natalie even though sometimes I found her reactions a bit excessive. She is a young girl full of good will, intelligent, capable and funny.

Jackson doesn't have a great family, far from it, after Natalie abandoned him, he left for the army. He has lost companions there and is struggling emotionally to recover, yet he has created his company and is doing very well professionally. Jackson is charming but he has a huge flaw, he does not understand that one can love his family. He also has trouble recovering from his breakup with Natalie, all on an epic misunderstanding.

The story is nice, I had a good laugh, I also got pretty angry when he couldn't explain himself to them. The book reads fast and you will have a good time with Jackson and Natalie.

Quick word: A nice little story.

When Natalie was 18, she went on a road trip with her friends following a band and they picked up a hitchhiker (Jax). Their connection was instant and for 5 weeks Natalie and Jax couldn't be without each other. But when their trip ends abruptly, they go their separate ways. Six years later they meet on Little Bear Island (the island that Natalie has only every left 1 time), as Jax is the security expert hired for a celebrity wedding taking place on the island. All the old feelings come back for Natalie only Jax is not even remotely close to being the man she remembered.

I loved how Natalie was just such a giving person only seeing the good in people. I thought that it was a different plot that Jax was nothing like he was the first time they met. I was a nice change that it was the man that didn't have his shit together. Even though Jax was a jack a$$, I couldn't help but like him and wanted him to get help for his problems so that they could be together. The only thing I didn't get was that Natalie was supposed to be this "wild child" when in reality she didn't seem that wild to me ... only twice she didn't do what her parents wanted. But all in all, this is a great read that shouldn't be missed.

Let me start off by saying this is my first book by this author. This is the second book in this series, but I felt it was okay as a standalone. (I plan to go back and read book 1 once I have some more book money in JULY - I spent all my June allowance. *sigh*)
Natalie and Jax met and fell in love 6 years ago. A simple misunderstanding (depending on how you look at it) kept them apart. Now, 6 years later, they see each other again and both pretend not to know the other since they think the other doesn't remember them. Confusing with me writing that down, but makes complete sense when you read the book. One thing leads to another and Jax is offering Natalie a job in NY which she accepts and loves. Both still have feeling for the other, but it takes them awhile to actually become a couple.
I LOVED this book!!!
I HIGHLY recommend it!!!
I look forward to future books by this author. :)

Thanks for a ARC to read and give my honest opinion.

The cover was very good but the blurb is what caught my eye on this one. Jax and Natalie have a history in this second chance romance. As Jax comes upon Natalie six years after there five week romance ended. The one that got away? If love comes round twice then it's meant to be....right? Well what if that love acts like they don't remember you!
I pushed through this novel but a lot of things just didn't sit right. Jax and Natalie not owning up to knowing each other after meeting again after six years was a bit much. Sounds like something kids would do, not adults. Natalie seemed adept in most of her situations which made her an ideal equal partner for Jax. The chemistry between the two was kind of stunted since they couldn't admit they knew each other until we are in the book, then he had hang ups about him being her boss. It just felt like it took him forever to commit. Three stars for entertainment.

Enjoyable read! The fact that Natalie and Jax refused to own up to the fact that they remembered each other made for some delicious sexual tension. It was so hot when they finally gave in to their feelings and got together. Not only was this story sexy, but it was very emotional. I wasn't expecting the ending to play out like it did, and I am so happy that these two got their second chance!

Natalie and Jax are a couple that you cheer for the entire time you are reading this book. The tension between the two makes for a very fun, gripping read.

This is one fabulous second chance romance. Jax and Natalie have a bit of a history and are thrown back together for work years later, There seems to be a communication issue between these two at the beginning. But the more the work together the more the past comes back and those feeling come roaring back. I love Jax. You can tell he has issues that he is trying to overcome. He has an amazing team that works with him. HE is really protective too. Natalie may be bit naïve and a people pleaser but she just fits in where ever she goes. I love how easy she fits into Jax's life. There doesn't seem to be something she can't do. Jax and Natalie have an amazing chemistry. This is a sweet romance that will make your heart full.

In a nutshell, Jax and Natalie have a 6 year old history. Natalie never got over Jax and Jax really didn't think Natalie would leave and is still angry about what that. His life changed dramatically, her's did not. She's still on the tiny scrap of land she grew up on reachable only by ferry with poor cell service and no wi-fi. Jax now owns a top notch security firm and is headed there to insure that the celebrity wedding they are covering goes off as planned. When he meets the wedding planners assistant and she locks eyes with him, their pasts flash quickly before them. Then neither one acknowledge they know each other. Thus begins the endless whizzing contest between these two throughout the book.
When Jax's assist on his next job begs off last minute he offers it to Natalie, thinking she won't take it, that she won't leave the island but she does and they pull it off without a hitch. So they move on to the next job that goes just as well. These two are cooped up in a car together probably for a couple thousand miles and a week and Jax isn't a nice person... not one single thing about this guy made me wanna pet his head and tell him he was going to be ok. Jax has no friends, he has employees. Natalie has friends and people she cares about. When Jax offers Natalie a chance to stay off the island and a job at his company in NY she takes it. He makes it clear that once they are there, she's an employee and nothing more. This is the man who hears his dead buddies voice in his head tell him what a jack hat he is. We see how that al shakes out when Nat arrives to work and settles into her new job. Everyone that works for Jax loves Natalie. Jax not so much. It angers him that they like her.
I tried to cut Jax some slack in this book, I did. He was rough to warm up to, and I seriously related to what he went through in the military. Still he just stuck it to Natalie every chance he could and she dished it right back at him. Truthfully they deserved each other. In an odd way. I loved the cast of characters at Jax's security firm and hope we see a couple books coming about these guys. I would have loved this book so much more were it a little shorter. The ending was a bit too predictable, but honestly it could have gone either way. It's a good read. It's got some great moments and dialogue.
I say go for it!

This was really cute, and I would have loved more detail about their road trip!! It was actually so funny when they SPOILER ALERT pretended not to know each other, and I thought the exploration of PTSD was really well done. I loved all the people on the island, and was heartbroken when THAT BIT at the end came up, but overall I really enjoyed this book.

My review is 4 stars.

This book is different in the start and completely different when the book, progresses to the end. This is my first read from the author and I would like to admit that I loved the way author expressed her characters in the book. I didn't feel for a single second that they were not real, they felt real. The MC of the book 'Jax' was something strong but there were moments I was little disappointed about 'Natalie'.

Both the characters of the book are good and the chemistry was likeable. There were few scenes that were not so well written, in my opinion, except that this book never made me felt any less about itself in any other expect. The plot is good and I liked it with the story. If I compare both the lead characters Jax & Natalie then I must say that the character of Jax has more powerful dialogues than the Natalie.

I liked the book, and I would definitely like to recommend this book to Contemporary Romance readers.

*** I would like to thank you, publishing house, for providing me with Advance Reader's Copy of the book. ***

This book was not what I was expecting when i started. It was a great read. I love the books when you get to go along on the romance journey. And this book did not disappoint. It would seem in life when you are soulmates you always find a way back to one another in this life or the next. Well in this book Jax and Natalie do just that. Six years after they fell madly in love they ended up meeting again, by chance. From the moment they realize it was a real twist and turn love story. Two stubborn main characters make a great read. If true love was easy, it wouldn't be worth it! I would highly recommend this book to anyone who was looking for a great romance with a bit of thrill.

Natalie and Jax met 6 years ago, when they parted each thought it was the others doing.
So when they meet again neither is sure how to react, but the attraction is still there.
Jax has a lot of issues, so will he let Natalie in?
Great read.

Okay, I just read this book in one sitting, I guess that says a lot, right? Oh, don't get me wrong, there were parts where I was a bit annoyed and there were moments when I thought seriously but I'm still not sure whether it was the author's part or the characters' parts that upset me.

No matter what though, I was hooked and there were moments when I didn't want to turn the page or simply read on because I knew that I wouldn't like what would happen next. There were times when I was really really upset, other times when I was furious but there were also so many times when I just said and smiled goofily or grinned or whatever.

When Natalie and Jax meet again at a wedding on Natalie's tiny island sparks fly again even though both of them try very hard to resist the attraction. Six years ago, losing each other left both of them raw and hurting. Today...well, that's what we'll have to find out, right? And that's also what they have to find out when they end up on another road trip together.

After everything he's been through, Jax doesn't consider himself to be the right guy for Natalie anymore. Hard luck for him that Natalie doesn't exactly agree and somehow manages to get under his skin and claim his heart. Or maybe, she never gave his heart back anyway. But no matter what, they'll have to fight for their love and a chance at happiness.

I really enjoyed reading this book and will definitely check out other books by the author. There were parts that were a bit unbelievable like Jackson's amazing success at his job or the number of coincidences throughout the book that lead to the two of them getting back together but on the whole, the story was captivating and entertaining.

Jax is just so hostile at times, “I look at you. J***s, I look at you all the time. I have to leave the room just to give my eyes a effing break.” There are times Jax grew some balls and told his woman what he wanted, “I want you here. Next to me. Every night. When I’m gone, I want to know that you’re keeping my bed warm..." I liked this book, I loved Jax, the man had a lot to sort out.
