This was definitely a cute read. If you love Outlander you will love this book! It was fast paced and you can read the book in one sitting. Nikki cashed in her retirement and wanted to live a life of adventure never expected to meet Harrison. Harrison didn't expect his family to think he was engaged and now he's trying to figure out how to deal with the situation. Such a cute read and a third book in a series at that.

Thank you for the ARC
I thought this would be the same old same old rich boss turned to lovers story but I was so wrong. I loved the chemistry between the main characters from the start. If you like rom com I recommend this book! The only thing I don't recommend is reading it alone in public because you will have outbursts of uncontrollable laughter and you'll look like a lunatic.

Harrison Troy is a man who doesn't tolerate much and now he finds himself flying first class and hoping that whoever has the seat next to him either doesn't show up or is silent as a mouse. In walks Nicole Franklin, she is a beauty to be sure and within a few minutes he knows the story of her life. Not that Harrison asked for the details, she shared them freely and she is fulfilling her dreams to have her own Outlander experience.

When Harrison finds himself losing another assistant he makes a deal with Nicole and hires her to help with the castle his family lives in. Innocently enough Nicole ends up in Harrison's bed and becomes his pretend fiancee. As the town bets on how long she will last, Harrison begins to question if maybe the best thing that happened to him is Nicole, will he figure it out before it is too late?

This was so funny. I was cracking up and loved the references to Outlander throughout. I thought Harrison's family was a hoot and liked seeing him come out of his rigid exterior. If you are looking for something light , this is one to pick up.

Are you a fan of Outlander, all things scottish and well....romance?

Don't miss this delicious story of a woman on an adventure and from the moment she steps onto the plane, her life will never be the same.

If only Harrison Troy could let loose would he discover that life is meant to be enjoyed and well...lived.

This slow burn has the perfect amount of tension, chemistry and witty scenes.

Sexy romance that has great sexual/romantic tension and characters that people can understand if not relate to or want to relate to.

This was a well written book with enjoyable well developed characters in my opinion. I found this to be exactly what I was expecting

After dumping her boyfriend, Nicole Franklin impulsively jumps on a plane and heads to Europe. Sure, money and a job would have been nice to line up first. Even a visa, for that matter. So now she has to play tour guide at an Outlander experience for the most obnoxious man on the planet. Until she stumbles into the wrong bed in the middle of the night and wakes up in Harrison’s arms. Now his family thinks they’re engaged, and the entire village is betting on how long before she’ll be running for the hills.
This was a quick and cute read. The main characters were very likable. I found myself reading this one in one sitting. I recommend.

This was a fine Rom-Com, with some really great comedy.

The romance is as you would expect.

I had little trouble envisioning everything as it went along, and the writing was great.

Nice bit of fluff, great to read while traveling.

Felt a bit Instalove, and the conflict was silly and Nicole (Nikki? Nic?) overreacting was a bit annoying.

There were a lot of questions that I feel were never answered, as though we were supposed to already know. What did Harrison do for a living that made him so wealthy? Where did his family's fortune go?

There was also a lot of fast-forwarding going on. Two months went by quickly. The entire Outlander thing was "They did this and then that and then shacked up, did the fake wedding and tada!"

Why did they bother at all with the "fake engagement" thing? That was briefly mentioned a few times and then may as well have not existed. What about tabloids caring who Harrison was at first?

Why would Nicole run off to her mom(?) after wanting to be independent?

How much time passed for the epilogue?

Wasn't Granny deaf or maybe-deaf? She was very lucid basically 90% of the time.

I don't know if this was just part of a series or not, but it felt rushed and a bit sloppy at times. I really liked the first half! Then, it was fast-forward until the "I am so in love with you!" overly lovey stuff, except when hijinx happened....

A very enjoyable read by Ms. Archer. Although I usually like my novels with a little more heat, I was able to enjoy Nikki and Harry's story. I think Harry's family and friends are what makes the book, as I feel the two main characters were not fully developed.

I absolutely LOVED 69 Million Reasons, the first book in this series. The second wasn’t quite as good but still enjoyable. I feel the same about this one. There were a lot of references to Outlander in this book. I don’t know what that is or anything about it, so I didn’t care for the “show not to be named” references all throughout the book. That being said, I loved Harrison’s quirky family and thought it was a fun and cute read. What I didn’t get was why they kept holding out on themselves over getting together. There wasn’t a strong enough reason in my mind.

Bottom Line: Fun, quick read.

3.5 stars

[book:Scotland or Bust|40073090], by [author:Kira Archer|14186168], is a fake fiancé story with lots of Outlander references and lots of laughs. Nicole heads to Scotland on a whim after breaking up with her boyfriend. She’s completely unprepared—no money, job, place to stay or even a visa. Harrison’s family’s estate is in trouble and he’s agreed to fix it up so it can be used for an Outlander tour, much to his abhorrence. He has trouble keeping assistants and assumes when he hires Nichole she’ll be gone in a few days like all the others. Except somehow, his crazy family doesn’t scare her off, and after a mishap, everyone thinks they’re engaged. He doesn’t correct them, hoping it will keep them off his back. He doesn’t expect to be as charmed by her as they are, much less to be falling for her.

Harrison was a bit of a twit at the beginning, but once he let Nicole in he was much more likeable. It was hard not to define Nicole as impulsive given how she arrived in Scotland, but she was a hard worker and easy to like. Harrison’s family were definitely unorthodox and added lots of laughs to the story. I did find the plot a bit slow at times. I wish there had been a little more romance. Nicole and Harrison had decent chemistry and gave us lots of witty banter, but there was something missing there for me, something that might have been capitalized on better to make me love them rather than just like them.

Overall it was a quick, cute read and would be a great choice for anyone looking for a romantic comedy.

This was a really cute book and a great read. You cannot help but like Nicole, she is a wonderful character and just perfect for Harrison she really does fetch out his fun side these two were just great together while he was not my favorite characters, to begin with, he really did grow on me and by the end of the book I just loved him. A great read that will have you laughing out loud at times.

Nicole is a hopeless romantic and shows a lack of experience in her judgement to leave home with no plans but try to find a job in a foreign country and just naive. It was hard to get past this over the fist few chapters in this book, but once they get to the castle things start to change. You see Blake and Nicole’s friendship start to grow and bloom into something more. By the time his friends arrive at the castle they were hard over heels for each other but a little afraid to say anything to each other. Oh I love a crazy granny in a book and this one had one of the best grannies! Granny didn’t care what was going on she was going to start a joust, dig up the flowers looking for treasure or just tell everyone the honest truth. The ending was a bit rough, she comes to the bar to say good bye and he is cold and heartless then he races to the airport to chase after her unlike her first boyfriend in the beginning didn’t do, and yet she shuts him down and barely wants to listen to anything he has to say. But then she can’t get back on the plane because she can’t leave him. It was just so much back and forth and back and forth. a little to much for my liking. Just kiss the girl and go all caveman on her and carry her home. Overall it was a fun book, full of crazy and wild characters.

This book was a wonderful read!!!

Nikki has given everything in her life up to move across the sea. She is just looking for adventure and really doesn't have everything planned out. Do you really need a work visa (lol)? Her first adventure is pretty much keeping the wonderful Harrison calm during the take-off for their flight.

She says what's on her mind, is pretty quick-witted and a very hard worker. She's even on the wager board from the local pub....will she last longer than any others?

Harrison is a serious man who only visits his family during the summers. He has an amazing job, one that keeps him happy. He doesn't need anyone in his life or does he? Who would put up with his family anyway?

This book had me laughing and wishing that I was part of the Do Not Say The Name of that Scottish series idea that Harrison has come up with to try to save his family and castle. Too bad he has to wear a kilt to make everything seem more "real."

Finished this book quickly because it was just put together so well. The secondary characters truly make the book. I would love to meet Granny, she is amazingly funny, a little whack-a-doodle and very loving. Everyone seemed to know how things were going to happen before Nikki and Harrison even did....You tend to get real good at gambling when the local pub always has a bet going!!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are of my own. I am looking forward to reading more from Kira Archer, she really made me have a "feel good day" while reading this wonderful story.

Love love love this story! It had everything I wanted - I laughed and my stomach dipped and there was a HEA. This has been a great series and I enjoyed seeing Kiersten/Cole and Leah/Brooks. I'm definitely ready for Chris' (and Cass?) book.

I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher for an honest review.

(Source: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thanks to NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, LLC, Indulgence and Kira Archer.)

I enjoyed this book a lot. It was a super cute, light romance. And it also included OUTLANDER! So how could I not? But apparently this was a continuation of a series, and I didn't know about it. So now, I have to read these books to, that revolve around Harry's friends.

“Do your friends call you Harry?”
“No.”
“Never?”
“Not to my face.”
“Can I?”
His lips twitched. The woman was insufferable. “Not to my face.”
She shrugged. “Too bad. You look like a Harry.”

I liked both characters, both Harry and Nikki were super admirable. What shocked me was the beginning of the book, leaving in a different country I wish I found someone like him during one of my flights, but real life is not like books, unfortunately.

“That must have been hard. Sometimes it’s lonelier being surrounded by people than it is when you are actually alone.”

I could relate to Harry. Although I not ashamed my family like he was before Nikki showed him that they were amazing, but I felt like we were super tight. And while I'm, thanks to them, super outgoing and extroverted loved being around people and loud, BUT I wanted to be ALONE at times, so I really could relate to him at times, although my family wasn't crazy like his.

“I swear, our poker games have gone from a relaxing night out with my mates to a giggle and gabfest with the ladies over tea. Can we please talk about something other than my love life?”

Humor was always present in this book, that's why I liked it a lot. I love good humor and the author made it real and not cheesy at all. After reading this book, I can't wait to read his friends' books that I feel could be funnier, based on some of their personalities that I have seen here. Since it seemed like Harry was the serious one, out of them all.

He drew his thumb across her skin, cupping her cheek in his hand. She rose on her toes, and he leaned in.
It was a horrible idea. There were a million reasons to walk away from her.
And he didn’t give a shit about any of them.

Despite having a fake relationship I liked how they treated and respected each other. It was also interesting to see how seriously Nikki took the job.

“It isn’t the romance, or at least not the way you think. It’s like in the show. Yes, the guy who plays the main character is gorgeous. But frankly I’ve seen better in real life.” Her eyes traveled over his body with a slow intensity that almost had him squirming like an inexperienced virgin.
“And yes,” she continued, “the sex scenes are fun. But not for the reasons you think. It’s not what they’re doing. It’s the way he looks at her. The way he touches her. The things he says to her. He’s a good enough actor that you believe he really means it. He would do absolutely anything for her. Give himself over to his worst enemy. Let himself be captured, beaten, flogged, killed. Anything to keep her safe. He’d dive into the middle of a storm-raging ocean and face down entire armies for her.
“Hell, my last boyfriend wouldn’t even toss a few of my shirts in with his laundry when he ran a load. Not to be mean. It just never occurred to him to do something like that for me. If he did do nice things for me, it was because it was convenient for him, not because he wanted to make me happy or because of something I needed. That is why I love the series so much. Because when I read it, I can experience a different time and place and be a part of a type of love that probably doesn’t really exist. I get a taste of something that I’ll probably never have in real life. Their love is epic. And when I’m immersed in the books or the show, I get to feel that for a little while, too.”

I mean who would not want to have a guy like this. Scottish, sexy accent, tall, handsome, rich, family oriented, caring, down to earth. It is sad that they don't exist in real life, or I don't run into any.

Our adventure will never end.

Overall, it was an amazing book, and the author deserves every single praise word that she gets! Can't wait reading the other books of Harry's friends.

This was such a cute story right from the start. The antics of Nicole and the family dysfunction of Harrison left me laughing out loud many times throughout the book. This was a light-hearted, steady paced story that kept you wanting more from both characters.
