I was interested in ASMR and hoping for something that gave more information. This book had some basic information but it felt like it was missing a direction to make it more in depth.

If you have been following me for a while, then you know my obsession with ASMR. ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which is basically a pleasurable, tingly, feeling that starts in your head or the back of your neck and can travel through out your body. This sensation can cause relaxation, stress relief, and can make you feel amazing. Brain Tingles by Craig Richard is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY! When I saw this book on Netgalley I flipped. I have honestly just started to introduce people in my life to this phenomenon, because I didn't want people to think I was strange for enjoying these types of videos. The first person that I talked to about it was my husband, who doesn't get ASMR, but understands the importance of it to me.

This book tells all about the coolest sensation I've ever experienced, and explores different ways to get tingles from your head to your toes. If you feel calm and relaxed when someone brushes or plays with your hair, does your make up, rubs your arm, or even draws and paints for you, then you may experience ASMR. If you want to find out more about this, there are thousands upon thousands of videos on Youtube about it.

But back to the book (see, I'm really excited that this is becoming mainstream!), Craig does a fantastic job of putting into words what the ASMR experience is like, and how it can help with all different types of issues. I have personally used it for relaxation, anxiety relief, headache relief, to help me sleep, and the list goes on. I truly think that ASMR can be a great alternative to medications and other types of solutions for our every day stresses.

Anyway, I really adored reading this book. If you are interested in learning about ASMR, then definitely go grab a copy of this bad boy. It will explain all about the back story, and how to help yourself tingle. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars, so much fun to read!

Also, if you want to check out something else ASMR related, go to Netflix and look up a show called Follow This the first episode is about ASMR.
