Karen Clarke is quickly becoming one of my must read authors.

This is the second book in the sea shell cove series and it's a good one! I have to say that the main character Meg did annoy me a bit at times. I just wanted to shake her and say wake up woman!! She got there in the end and made the right decisions.

Loved the story, this is what I would call the perfect cosy read, I'm really hoping we get another book in this series .

Received from Netgalley.
Once a cheater, always a cheater! Chica, don't you know it?
I didn't like very much the heroine, she was so doormat. Her fiancé broke up with her at college, before he went there he promised he will love her and will not see other people. He dump her in 2 months, then 2 years later he was back and she agreed to be with him.!! She was celibate this 2 years.
They were 15 years el total together and still not married.
They were preparing the gran day... They he went with his buddies cycling (this days you call it cycling, , huh). She kissed another man. Then we know he is almost intimate with another woman...
I almost DNF

A wonderfully heartwarming story. I loved the friendships in this book they really cared about one another had everything you could want from friendship the highs the lows and everything in between. I wasn't fond of Gwen she came across as quite brutal i didn't warm to her at all. The same with Beverley she although came across as only wanting the best she was quite forceful with it. Meg is a strong character and despite her doubts ultimately knows what she wants and goes for it. Her relationship with Sam really resonated with me gave me food for thought. Loved the friends references. This book made me smile a lot. I will defiantly be reading more from Karen in the future.

Second book in this series set in Seashell Cove, this time centred around Meg. She works in the cafe, but really wants to run the bakery which is currently for sale.
She is engaged to Sam, her high school sweetheart, but is becoming more attracted to Nathan the estate agent selling the bakery. The more you learn about Sam, you find that although Meg supports him in what he wants in life, he does not offer her the same in return. but will she realise this before she loses her chance with Nathan?

Great to return to Seashell Cove. This book was a fun read and would be great to tote along to the beach.

I look forward to reading more about this seaside town.

I really felt for Meg. She loves her job in the bakery so it certainly couldn't have been easy having an uncertain future, especially when she is literally months away from tying the knot.

Now Nathan the love interest sent my pulse racing never mind poor Meg's. I fell head over heels in love with him myself. The blossoming friendship between the two will certainly have your heart melting.

Meg has so many decisions to make that I didn't really envy the position she is in getting pressure from her boyfriends family with the wedding arrangements. You can see her heart and soul goes into her baking, of which can I just say had my mouth watering. I probably wouldn't advise reading this book on an empty stomach that's for sure!

Even though Meg has some serious decisions to make, this is still a heart warming and very much light hearted read. I loved how the author threw some little surprises in there for the readers making this one novel extremely hard to put down.

The Bakery At Seashell Cove is a deliciously, wondrous story that you will devour within no time at all. It is escapism at it's finest and I really enjoyed every minute of it.

This was a fun read. It starts off with Meg engaged to Sam who is obsessed with the biking trip he’s planning. You can tell right away that this isn’t a relationship that is going to last. Sam is out of the way biking around Europe which gives Meg a chance to find her own happiness in the small English seaside town where they live. Her ambition is to run the bakery where she used to work but has been closed down since the owner died. Enter a sexy real estate agent, Nathan, to whom she is attracted in ways she was never attracted to Sam. Nathan supports her bakery dreams and is interested in her rather than putting down her dreams as Sam always did. Sam is clearly no great shakes as a romantic partner while Nathan is everything a woman could want. They just have to find their way clear.

While I was pulling for Meg to wake up and dump Sam, that was going to take a while since he’s away on his bike trip for most of the book. Meanwhile, she has to deal with his annoying mother and older sister as well as some startling personal news all while appearing on a popular TV show that highlights her bakery dreams.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley; however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

I loved this story, it swept me away to a quaint English seaside village where anything could happen and where a happy ending is guaranteed. Of course the story doesn’t start out that way, with Meg Larson’s life crashing down around her ears. The bakery where she works goes on the market and her fiancee, Sam, who is off on a biking holiday, won’t even take her calls. The realtor in charge of selling the bakery, Nate, however, appears to be just what Meg needs, a kind, gentle man. If you love Jenny Colgan, than Karen Clarke should be your to be read list
