This is a fast paced thriller, lots of twists and turns and I really enjoyed how the plot all came together in the last few chapters. Recommended read for the summer!

Another excellent Lisa Jewell novel. Great , believable characters. Took me a little while to get familiar with them but I loved the twists and turn, I thought I’d got it all figured out but then the plot twisted and I had to change my mind. There’s a lot of creepiness in this novel though- as the title would suggest - people are watching people - and the whole thing takes on a very tawdry tone. The dark side of the internet iis nicely explored - bullying at school, feeling left out, having to be like others, an innocent crush turning into something very dark indeed. The flashbacks and the way the story unfolds was a nice touch.

Interesting book with lots going on.I did have to keep my wits about me as best I could to keep up with all the characters and plot twists, not necessarily a bad thing. It had some interesting characters some likable some definitely not.I did manage to work out who done it but would still have not been surprised to find I was wrong I did enjoy the twists and the way the story came together ,and although it is not my favourite book it was a good read, and was definitely original, and well worth spending your time on.Thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for an ARC.

After reading Then She Was Gone i was very excited to read this but unfortunately i didn't enjoy it as much as i did the previous book. I didn't connect to the characters as much and couldn't invest in the story like i wanted to.

Another exceptionally good read from the talented Ms Jewell. As always the plot is quite unique, complex and expertly woven. Absolutely loved it!

A mixed bag for me this one. Excellent Jewell writing and tension. Great characters. Just too many of them and a confusing plot at times which diluted the tension. There'a a good lot of creepiness in this novel though- as the title would suggest - people are watching people - and the whole things takes on a a very tawdry tone. There's a lot of themes apt for this internet age nicely explored - bullying at school, feeling left out, having to be like others, an innocent crush turning into something very dark indeed. The flashbacks and the way the story unfolds was a nice touch.

It's tense and well written but not a booktrail book - if Melville Heights was real, I don't know anyone who would want to live there now if this bunch of misfits do!

Wow, where shall I start? I love Lisa Jewell books and I was very excited to be given the opportunity to read this via Netgalley. I wasn’t disappointed and stayed up until the early hours of the morning to finish it.
Joey moves back home from Ibiza with a new husband and finds herself living with her brother and sister in law. One day she sees Tom Fitzwilliam, the local Headmaster who she becomes obsessed with, but what she doesn’t know is that others are obsessed too and someone is watching very carefully to all what is happening.

When I first started reading I found there were lots of characters in the story and I wondered if I would ever remember them all, I had no problem though because everyone had a big part to play and were all important in the story.
I loved the way the story came together at the end and I had no clue where it was going until the very last minute. Super writing as always from Lisa Jewell.

Wow - I have just finished a brilliant book: "Watching You" by Lisa Jewell, I couldn't put it down and will be giving it five stars! I really recommend it.

I was so excited when I heard that Lisa Jewell has just written her 14th book - Watching You - as I have loved so many of her others. I enjoyed getting to know the families who live in "Melville". Everyone has a story and in this psychological thriller we learn that nothing is as simple as it first seems. I dare you to read it!

Thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone and to NetGalley for the advanced readers copy. Publication date is 12th July.

Have been a Lisa Jewell fan since the publication of “Ralph’s Party” and have read all of her books since so was delighted to be offered this.
Lisa has developed her skills as an author as she has become more accomplished and her more recent books have been suspenseful and intriguing but with the ‘unputdownable’ style that Lisa is famous for.
“Watching You” keeps you guessing to the end as Lisa weaves a story of a modern day mystery with information of events decades before. A thoroughly enjoyable read.
Thank you Net Galley for the chance to read and review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars sorry!!

I love Lisa’s books but sorry I just didn’t enjoy this one as much.

I couldn’t gel with any of the characters except Freddie, whose chapters I couldn’t wait for.

And what was that ending? Was it meant to be a twist?

Disappointing.

Lisa Jewel’s 16th book. Another great read. Intricately woven tale of past creeping into the present. Would definitely recommend any of Lisa Jewel’s books. Thank you NetGalley.

This story was quite enjoyable but also a bit confusing. There were too many characters so it was hard to keep track off what was really happening in the story. I still did like it but I felt it could have been better executed

Fabulous read. So many twists and turns and the book becomes more intriguing as it goes along. I would certainly recommend this book for those that love an intriguing psychological thriller.

Another amazing story by Lisa Jewell. The characters engage you from the word go.. the story revolves around Tom Fitzwilliam. He is the new principal and everyone loves him. However looks can be deceiving!

I usually really like her books, but this one had too many characters and took
a long time to get into.

Lisa Jewell is a wonderful writer, one of my favourites. She has a great way of creating suspense that leaves you rushing to finish the story and unable to put it down. Watching You is no different, and I read it in 2 sittings, keen to find out exactly what was going on. While I didn't enjoy it as much as Jewell's previous few novels, it was still a good story.

Plenty of characters, but all well written so it's easy to keep up with who's who, and who's chapter it is. All characters a little odd in their own way, with secrets and little obsessions. But likeable too. Overall, a strong 4/5.

This book confused me with so many characters in it. I normally love Lisa Jewell books but didn't enjoy this one as much as her others
