Thank you New Harbinger Publishers and Netgalley for this ARC,

This book was well written, inspiring and informative. I loved the compassionate way it was written and the affirmations and exercises that were laced throughout the book. The book is suitable to a large range of people, not just those wanting recovery. It speaks directly to the reader and helps question your thoughts and whether these serve us for living our best life possible. I highly recommend this book, not just for those requiring recovery but anyone who needs some kindness, daily affirmations and wisdom.

NetGalley Description.

Written by the authors of The Mindfulness Workbook for Addiction, this on-the-go mindfulness guide offers fifty-two powerful and effective meditations to help you manage the stress, depression, and strong emotions that can get in the way of a full and lasting recovery. You'll also find skills based in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help you stay grounded, as well as links to online resources.

Deciding to overcome an addiction can feel like leaving a relationship. It's hard and sometimes lonely - but it is truly an act of courage. This book will help guide you as you continue making courageous steps toward peace, joy, and fulfillment.

I downloaded this book as I often work with adults recovering from addiction and I felt it might be useful to gaining a better understanding. It was surprisingly easy to read and is full of what seemed to me, to be common sense and achievable strategies to overcome addiction through mindfulness, self worth and respect for your body.
Thanks to NetGalley and New Harbinger Publications for the ARC.

I am currently working on my degree in Psychology and found this book to be informative. I know people that are struggling with their recovery and have passed along some tips from this book.
