I received a free ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Not sure if this was really intended as a self help book on management based on lessons learned from famous posses because very little time was spent on management tips. But that was fine with me because I really wanted to read this book for the stories of real old west posses, lawmen and outlaws. In that aspect it was quite interesting and it including some incidents that I was totally unfamiliar with and filled in some details on cases that I was familiar with. The stories of the various posses were all fairly brief, but information and entertaining. In some cases such as the hunt for Bill Doolin I would have liked more details, but overall it found a nice balance. It included stories of such famous western characters as Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, the Doolin Gang, Sam Bass, Bill Tilghman and others.
