This book was a quick easy read, but I really enjoyed this story and would love to read more from this author.

This story was fun and cute. While a bit over the top and cheesy at times, I appreciated the fluffy nature of the story. A fun read all around!

This is a very uplifting, laugh out loud romantic comedy. There is a very engaging cast of characters and the inevitable series of mishaps and miscommunications before a satisfying HEA. Perfect for fans of Holly Bourne and Sophie Kinsella.

One of my favorite authors and this one didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed reading this story by the pool. I liked the characters and storyline too.

Such a lovely romantic read, very well written and flowed perfectly. Truly recommend this for anyone wanted a nice lighthearted book.

Another fab book by this author. I know when I pick up one of Keris Stainton's books I'm going to laugh but that there will also be grit and conflict and challenging people, which is just as interesting as the humour and romance. Absolutely love this author's style of writing and I'm looking forward to the next book I will read by her.

Like all of Keris’ novels, this is a rom-com movie in a book, with all of the cuteness and giggles that come with it. Piper is a girl who knows she has weight issues but over the years has embraced her size, put the negative comments down and is now very happy in her new life in London. All this positivity is tested when she is invited to her school reunion and is faced with not only her former bullies but also her lost love, Rob. I really enjoyed this, it was easy to read and to fall in love with Piper and Rob and all their miscommunications, mis-timings and just overall adorable love story. You really feel for Piper, with her body confidence issues being tested, her desire to leave her old life behind but ultimately being drawn back into her home town, and her general attitude to life was lovely and aspirational. Yet another hit from Keris!

This is by far my favorite from the three books that I've read from the author. I love the uplifting story and how it tackles body positivity. I also adore the characters, Piper and Rob, not to mention Matt. I didn't laugh out loud that much as I expect but there are certainly some chuckle-worthy instances. Definitely a fun read.

I loved that this book that had a strong body-positive message.
But it might have been just a tad overdone.
The characters were easy to like and there were some really cute and heartwarming parts.
But the ending felt a little too predictable.
Overall it was a good read.

Absolutely AMAZEBALLS!
This is not my usual genre, but I totally fell in love with this book! The characters were relatable, the storyline was real and relevant and it had my emotions all over the place - in the best possible way! I'll be reading more from this author in the future!

This book was a light, easy read. The main character goes back to her high school reunion. Lots of reflection on herself, body image etc. Reconnecting with former friends and a former friend/crush, I didn’t find myself as invested in the romantic relationship as I typically am in a romcom book. This would be a good beach read!

***I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for this opportunity.***

This was a great book. The story was captivating and kept me interested throughout. Can’t wait for more from this author.

This has been sitting on my Kindle for a good few months, and I'd been meaning to read it, - honest! But something, and I'm not sure what, has been putting me off; maybe it's the cover...?  Anyhoo, in a vain attempt to clear my TBR pile I decided to give it a go. And I've no idea why I didn't get stuck in sooner!!

It was fab! It was so refreshing to read about someone who isn't thin. Piper is curvy, and in the past she has thought of herself as TOO curvy, and in the story the reader discovers how her body image affected her growing up and how it still affects her now, as a mature woman (sometimes not so mature...). The author isn't afraid to explore how society often views larger people, and she also stresses than thin doesn't mean happy, healthy or successful.

I really enjoyed this, and will be reading more from this author.

So to start with this is very much a book that you will either like or hate, it is not an easy book to have as an in between. I read this and whilst I didn’t dislike it, I didn’t enjoy it either. The lead character is Piper so whilst she’s an ok lead she just feels a bit bland to me. The story itself is quite humourous, the characters comments being very ‘real’ in the sense that I can quite imagine people behaving and saying things the way they do, which is probably why it becomes itself as humourous as it. It is not a very deep read in that there is a moral behind it (or if there is then I completely missed it), so Although the characters don’t have any real pizazz to them, the story was a good one which flowed richly with humour.

I thought The Invitation was easy, entertaining and pretty - the perfect Summer read! I love Stainton's books and she always have a way of portraying interesting subjects. The best thing about this one was the fact that the main character has been trying to run away from her past for a long time and it is striking to see how she learns that she has to stop doing it and finally face it.

I'd love to see what the author writes next - I will be ready for another feel-good lovely novel!

Loved this book!!
I got into the storyline straight away. There were several moments that made me laugh out loud and the characters were likeable and funny.
I will definitely be recommending this book as a great summer read !

Piper is living in London with her best friend Matt and blogging about loving your body when she gets invited as a guest on a morning tv show. Life is looking good when she has to go home because her aunt is ill and gets invited by Rob...... her teenage crush and heartthrob...... to go to her school reunion.......... should she go and will she still feel the same way about Rob?

A light hearted fun book with plenty of comedy moments...... perfect summer read

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I did not read the synopsis of the story before diving in. The Invitation suggested that the main lead would get an invitation to an event that would change his or her life. I wanted to know what the invitation was. It began with Piper making her first appearance on a show, which I thought was THE invitation. But it's what happened after the show is the invitation.

I am utterly in love with this book! Piper is an amazing character, she’s very empowering and confident. I love how the author focuses on the body positivity and friendship and family more than the romance between Piper and Rob. Not that I dislike their interactions, I adored their interaction and love. I'm much insecure about my body and appearance, especially to my boyfriend. Even if I am confident to the world, I would still worry. So I felt a bit more confident whenever I spend time with my boyfriend thanks to this book.

Though it seems a bit rushed towards the end, but it is understandable. The Invitation is a stand alone book. I do wish it will have a sequel, perhaps on Holly’s life after moving back?

All in all, I love the book.
