A really good chick/lit feel-good read.

A rival travel agency has set up shop opposite Mercury travel and problems ensue.

There's plenty of drama, relationship woes, and laugh out loud moments.
It is well written, well paced and has really funny characters. One of the main characters Angie is hilarious.

There are some nice locations. It’s a great and fun look at the travel agency industry and the types of marketing and work they do.
The characters are larger than life, but that’s what I like about the book. It's an escape from the drudge of life.
Light-hearted, fun and romantic

Good fun and plenty of drama without too much peril. A perfect summer read which I enjoyed. I had not read the previous book in the series but this did not detract from enjoying the story in its own right.

Thanks to Netgalley for my copy.

The Mercury Travel Club are back with even more shenanigans as a rival travel agency opens up across the road. They offer deep discounts and modern technology. Can our cast of characters hold on to their business?

This is a fun filled story of friendship, loyalty, dating perils and life in general. I would have loved more of Angie's mum and her penchant for freebies.

Angie is co owner of the Mercury Travel Club and the business is going well, they are thinking of expanding into an island resort when a rival firm moves in right opposite and starts undercutting them......... will they be able to survive?

A great follow on to the Mercury Travel Club and great to be back with Angie and Patty again.... Lovely beach read perfect for the summer

The Heat is On is a warm and exotic story of self belief, trusting your instincts and learning to love again.
Angie is a Middle aged lady who Co-owns a travel agency. When another business comes to town and threatens her livelihood Angie and her team must do what it takes to fight back. Meanwhile Angie is dipping her toe in the pond of dating and has to face some realities of dealing with her past to move on with her future.
This is heartwarming read. I had not read the previous book in the series but didn’t feel I had to to understand the plot. The author has made it a seamless read if you haven’t already read The Mercury Travel Club. Saying that…I want to go back and read the first book now.

This would make a good, light reading, holiday novel. I hadn't read the first Angie and Patty book, but it was fine as a stand alone. I thought it was a bit predictable, and characters over simplistic.

5☆ A Fun Loving summer read

The Heat Is On is the second book in the series. I read the first book and loved it. I was so excited to be back.

This time round we see Angie and the Mercury Travel club taking on a rilval travel club.
Angie is back and so are her quirky fun loving friends.

Prepare for drama, relationship woes , friendship, laugh out loud moments, emotion and Witt.
What more could You want from a perfect summer read?

Although this is the second book in the series you can certainly read this as a standalone. But I would recommend reading both books as the character build up in the first book makes you fall in love with them and their mishaps and mayhem.

I love Helen's writing style it's fun, engaging, and the time just flows by.

If your looking for a summer fun read, with quirky loveable characters, lots of drama and mayhem then you will absolutely love The Heat Is On!

Thank you to Love Book Group Tours for this copy which I reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This is a second book of a series. I hadn't't read the first book but enjoyed this as a stand-alone book.

Angie is one of the partners of a successful travel agency- Mercury Travel. They accompany their customers on their travels and have enjoyed every success.
They are about to enter into a financial arrangement with the bank to run an island resort which will offer weddings and special events. All is going well until a new travel agency- Launch- sets up virtually opposite.
Launch is undercutting everything that Mercury are doing, forcing them to make huge reductions and putting their plans in jeopardy.
Eventually, the deal goes ahead because a new investor is found. All is not what it seems with the rival travel agency, either.

A good read. Enjoyable and fun.
Thank you to net galley for giving me the opportunity to make an honest review.

Thank you for providing me with a copy of the book. Great read, perfect for a summers eve. It can be read standalone but I would recommend the first to fully set the scene. More please!

Just the kind of book you need on a warm night outside lounging on a deck chair with a glass of something bubbly in your hand. The Mercury Travel club was a fun read and now they're back on more travels  but this time with bumps in the road. A rival travel agency has set up shop and problems ensue. That's the simple version of the plot but thanks to Helen's writing, there's a lot more to enjoy and it's the characters which shine the most. There's some nice locations in this one and even Manchester looks sunny when the Travel club magic gets ahold. It's a great and fun look at the travel agency industry and the types of marketing and work they do. The characters are larger than life and should have their own comedy show to be honest but that's what I like about the book. Quite aptly, it's an escape, both literarily and otherwise. Get onboard with this series now!

The Mercury Travel Club ladies are back and Angie and Patty are planning to build on their early success with a Caribbean escape. All goes swimmingly until a rival travel club opens up nearby and the girls realize they need to crank up the excitement factor to keep their dream afloat. A great book when you need a good laugh
