However, inside she is secretly hoping that Kriss Kringle is the real thing. This is a story about one little girl's hope in something and someone...if she just finds it in her heart to believe in the magic of Christmas.

Miracle on 34th Street perfectly captures the spirit and magic of Christmas. This is a flawless rendition of the classic, and one that children of all ages will treasure and adore for many years to come. I would strongly recommend this book. Miracle on 34th Street is a classic. Always having been a favorite of mine, I was so excited to share this cherished story with my son. The book is a magical one full of vividly beautiful illustrations and the spirit of Christmas and giving to others. A beloved classic, I think this book will be a hit this Christmas and every Christmas to come. My son fell in love with the pictures and with the meaning of the story behind it. The book is absolutely lovely in every way and the words are clear and filled with warmth, leaving them easy for kids to understand the meaning.

Full of hope, joy and the magic, the spirit of Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street captures it all in a way all children will love.

One of my favorite Christmas movies is "Miracle on 34th Street" starring Natalie Wood. At the time that the movie was made, Valentine Davies also penned a short novella to accompany the film release. There have been several adaptations of the movie and book but no other book has been released by the Davies estate - until now. 

Miracle on 34th Street is a picture book for kids of all ages. The story is accurately re-told for the enjoyment of children. The writing, while simple, is not childishly over-handed and the prose flows brilliantly throughout the book. The illustrations by James Newman Gray are exquisite. Their detail and vivid colors are sure to capture the eye of many young readers. 

Most importantly, this new rendition fully captures the hope, magic and joy of the original movie. This is a must-have book for your holiday library collection.

This is a book that looks absolutely lovely – people in their best winter furs, pages decorated with seasonal details, cute design in faces and everything else. But in presenting this great little story in a modern fashion, it raised peculiar questions in my adult mind. What happened to the other sleeping Santa, who clearly was woken up in the act of being replaced, and why is our young heroine's mother the only person in charge of the whole parade? How does the boyfriend handily become a lawyer? How contrived is the big day in court? And how contrived is it for the girl to not realise something was up on the mystery drive home?

It's a sign of the times that the text, clear and warm and easy for the young to read, has been updated, and belabours the fact Kris Kringle can speak to all creeds, and sign to a deaf child. But at the same time, if you're thrusting a modern sensibility on to things, where is the union rep for Santa, and how can he be dismissed in such a way? It's awkward quibbles like that that stop me loving the book. But I still admire it for all its many qualities – and in the spirit of seasonal goodwill will rate it as the target audience would see it. And rest assured, they would see it often and with delight.

Miracle on 34th Street was one of my absolute favorite movies growing up, so I was thrilled to see Net Galley offering an advanced copy of this illustrated version. I absolutely loved it! This is the classic story that everyone knows & loves, brought to life with beautiful illustrations. The pictures were all so beautiful, and the text fit in perfectly. I loved that it didn't give all the tiny details of the story, but cut it down well enough to still have the essence of it. I can't wait for this to come out in print!

I love illustrations, and the big warm that this book is in grade to communicate.



It is a precious object, with an enchanting cover but also with precious fonts in grade to give to this book another more precious treat where possible: one of the most important gifts for your children!



Have you ever thought why children are in grade to see, feel things that adults can't see or feel anymore? Because adults have lost the capacity of dreaming.



Dreaming is important exactly like believing and this story wants to remind us that the dimension of dreams and the dimension of believing create a wonderful connection: there is a door, in our soul, that should always stay open, and it is the one of the enchantment, the one dedicated at the dimension of dream and possibilities; sometimes skepticism doesn't pay and our heart shouldn't stay closed, arid, like the one of Scrooge at the possibility of goodness that there is in the world ... starting to see and to feel Christmas's Spirit because simply, exists.

There is plenty of goodness in this world and sometimes in the most unthinkable places. Just, it's important to recognize it. And believe in magic, because magic exists.

Miracle On 34th Street has always been one of my favorite Christmas stories, and I couldn't wait to see how it was adapted for the first time into a children's picture book. This beautiful storybook perfectly brings the beloved story to life in it's vivid illustrations, classic story line, and it's emphasis on Christmas truly being about believing and the spirit of giving. I'm so thankful that this beloved story will now be able to touch this generation and future generations to come, and I can't recommend it enough. I'm sure this will become a household favorite every Christmas, just like the beloved movie has. This is definitely the perfect book to get kids or kids at heart into the holiday spirit.

It's difficult to believe but this is the first-ever picture/storybook edition of this world-renowned Christmas classic. Beautifully illustrated with pictures by James Newman Gray and adapted for picture book by Susanna Leonard Hill, Miracle on 34th Street will surely continue to delight young readers for many more generations to come.

Valentine Davies' classic has always been my most favorite Christmas story and of course a nod to the original film version. This new edition is perfectly done and I'd highly recommend it to those looking for a quality addition to their children's library. The story is simply told here in an easy to read format enhanced by Gray's colorful illustrations. This should be a big seller.
