One of the best aspects of Moonstruck is the behind the scenes information on touring. While I am no expert, life on the bus sounded very honest. A back stage pass to meet musician Ryan DeLuna leads to a once in a lifetime opportunity for Maisy Harrison. Maisy and her brothers are fellow performers and are asked to be the opening act for Ryan. I would definitely describe this as a cute story. Maisy is at first immune to Ryan's charms. This of course makes her all the more intriguing to Ryan.

I’m on the fence so I’m going with 3.5 Stars. This was going pretty well for me. It’s a sweet PG story between two musicians, but then there was a kerfuffle with an ex and it got shot to hell for me. I got super irritated with Maisy and how she reacted towards said kerfuffle. But up until that part, it was a pretty good story. There’s no epilogue so I felt the ending just kinda happened super fast.

Maisy Harrison has one life rule... never date a musician. She has her father to thank for it. He was too busy being a jerk and making babies to actually care for the kids he already had. She doesn't have any problems keeping that rule. Well... that was until she met the gorgeous, playboy Ryan De Luna. It would be in everyone's best interest to stay far, far away from that man.

From the moment Ryan first met Maisy, he knew she was something special. Not only was she not afraid to speak her mind about what she really thought of him, but she actually saw him as a real person... not some rich playboy that everyone else saw. And if that wasn't enough to hook him, listening to her sing a cover of one of his songs would definitely do it. Not only is she feisty and beautiful but she's talented and smart.

When the opportunity arises for Maisy and her brothers' band, Yesterday, to be the opening act on Ryan's Moonstruck tour, they would be crazy to pass it up. This may be the break they have been waiting for.

While touring together, Ryan confides in Maisy that in order for him to start making the kind of music he wants to make, he first needs to clean up his image and prove to his record label that he's matured. But in order for that to happen, he's going to need Maisy's help. Nothing too crazy... they just need to have a fake relationship.

Wait. What?! A fake relationship? Doesn't he know how dangerous that is?! Does he not feel the explosive chemistry between them?! Maisy will just have to be extra careful and guard her heart. But somewhere along the way it went from being fake to real for Maisy. With her feelings for Ryan growing, she knows she needs to be extra careful because he has the power to crush her heart. But what she doesn't see or realize is that she, too, has the power to crush his heart.

Just as Maisy puts her trust and future in Ryan's hands, his past comes knocking... literally. Will they be able to stay strong together? Or will Maisy's past experiences have her running at the first sign of trouble? One thing's for sure. They will both need to do some serious soul searching if they're ever going to have a HEA.

Oh how I loved this book! I found myself reading it every chance I could! I may or may not have lost track of time on several occasions and may or may not have been late for a few things. But y'all... it was worth it! I couldn't get enough of this book! I adored Maisy and Ryan! I loved seeing their relationship develop and felt like I had a front row seat watching them fall in love. There were definitely some extremely swoony moments that had me fanning myself more than I already was due to this heatwave we're currently having in my area. These two were absolutely perfect for each other!

And while I loved most of the side characters, I have to admit that at times a couple of them bugged the crap out of me! Maybe it's because I don't have any older brothers but I wanted to Gibbs slap Fitz more than once. And what in the world was all that with Diego?! He was nice and funny at the beginning of the book and then turned cold and jerky while on tour. We never did get to find out what crawled up his butt and died. *le sigh* Oh well. At least we had lots of Maisy and Ryan! ;) Hehe.

If you're looking for a fun and swoony break from reality then I highly recommend you check out this series! I am loving it! I can't wait for the next book to be released!

Ms. Wilson is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I have enjoyed all the books I've read so far! Looking forward to reading more by her!

I love Ms Wilson’s writing style. It’s quick and fun and witty and clean romance. I can totally connect with her characters. She is very good at getting in the characters head and bringing it out on paper. I can picture the story happening in my head. When I first started reading this book I felt like it was going to be very similar to her other book #starstruck. It was similar but different enough. And since I loved #starstruck too I didn’t mind one bit. These are books that I would read and reread! They’re that good. I found myself laughing, holding my breath, smiling and trying to read faster and faster to see what happens throughout this book!

Maisy and her brothers haven't had a easy life with a deadbeat, musician for a father which leads to her mother having a breakdown, and getting into a life-altering accident while Maisy was in high school. Because of her father Maisy has a rule she lives by--Don't Date Musicians!! She got the nickname Ice Queen in high school.

Ryan De Luna is a huge popstar who seems to have it all, but his parental issues are quite similar to Maisy's. He's instantly attracted to her because she's not a Luna-chick, or a Luna-tic. She sees and treats him as a regular person, not as El Caliente, as the media refers to him.

What happens when fire meets ice = steam. Oh My! There were so many parts that were my favorite--definitely when he called her onstage to sing her slowed-down version of his hit "One More Night", the making of his music video, when he wrote a song about her, the surprise birthday party on the tour bus, and when he "Lloyd Doblers" her at the end. #iceandfiremakesteam #superswoonykisses #breaktherules #shesmyMaisy

I don't have brothers so Maisy's brothers drove me a little crazy with their overprotectiveness. I wanted to tell them "She's a grown woman for heaven's sake!" I liked Maisy and her snarky comments. My favorite was "Plastic peacock leeches. Pleeches." I actually laughed out loud at the one. The other was "I just needed my steak to be on my plate. I didn't need to know what it did during its downtime." I wasn't thrilled with Maisy's behavior towards Ryan after CeCe's visit--I kept yelling at her in my head "he didn't cheat on you!!" Thankfully her brothers laid it all out for her, and when she told her mother about the incident during one of their visits she realized that she'd made a HUGE mistake. I loved how she took ownership of it, realized Ryan wasn't like her dad at all, it was her, and she aplogized. #RyanandMaisyforever

So happy I managed to fit this book into my reading schedule. Now I need to make time to read the first one #Starstruck. Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for letting me read and review this book.

This book had all the yummy elements I look for in a "take me away" romantic book.

I knew I was going to love this book. I love everything Sariah Wilson writes for all the reasons above. The musical aspect in this book had me hooked and led to some very romantic situations! <sigh> I'm swoony just thinking about it. 😊

If you haven't picked up the first book in the series, you really should! (#starstruck) This book isn't dependent on the first book at all, but it is equally as good.

This was such a great read. Even tho for me she was too young I couldn't put it down. If the saying is you can't tell a book by it's cover then I think the same thing about musicians. Love is love no matter the reason.

Brilliant sweet modern romance. Sariah Wilson has a gift for creating rich well developed characters and worlds that leave you satisfied and wanting more. Definitely recommend.

Sariah Wilson is an expert at chemistry. And while the chemistry is well done and definitely spicy, it's a little too pg-13. I like my chemistry used as an inconspicuous thread subtly enhancing the story. In #Moonstruck the chemistry is more of a front row focus in the narrative than an indirect subplot. And yet it works.

The story is sweet with hints of a rags to riches idea. Sariah Wilson gave the character's enough back story to help you empathize with their decisions and be invested in their future.

The thing that makes me appreciate her story telling is her creation of a beautifully moral character that balances the intense chemistry. This line in particular is something every person needs to hear and do, "I loved myself and the decisions I'd made about how far I would take things physically." Nestled up quite nicely next to the heat is the idea that it's ok to have boundaries, to curb the heat and exercise self control. I love that she does that in these novels.

I appreciated not only the balance between chemistry and control, but the balance in Maisy's character between strength and vulnerability. Both Maisy and Ryan were beautifully flawed characters that became more through out the progress of the novel. I will applaud any book that can simultaneously entertain me, move me and defend the beauty of virtue.

#Moonstruck was such a great story. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it. While I'm not a singer and I don't have a rich and famous boyfriend, I did have some take aways from the story. It's so important to forgive yourself and others before you can move on. Anyway, the book was awesome, and well worth the read. I received an ARC and am volunteering to review the book.

#Moonstruck is yet another good story by Sariah Wilson. I loved #Starstruck so much, that I knew I would automatically like #Moonstruck. Ryan De Luna was adorable and so easy to fall for.

#Moonstruck is the second in the #Lovestruck series by Sariah Wilson. While they're considered a series, the books can definitely be read on their own. I loved #Starstruck so much and my expectations were definitely high for this story. I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed at all. 

This story follows Maisy Harrison, who has one ground rule: never date a musician. She's in a band with her brothers and after Ryan de Luna sees the cover of one of his songs that Maisy has done, everything changes. Suddenly, Maisy and her brothers are on tour with Ryan to be his opening act. Then, Ryan asks Maisy to be his fake girlfriend to help change his image. 

Stories about musicians has to be one of my favorite things so that definitely added to my love of this story. I've dated my fair share of musicians and even married a bass player so stories about musicians are always something I go for when I find them. 

It did take me a bit to warm up to Maisy as a character and narrator. I felt like she was full of herself a bit, but as the story progressed, I came to love her as a character and as a narrator. It was nice to see a story where the female main character wanted to wait for marriage for sex and that the male main character actually respected that decision though. 

I loved so much in this story! The banter between the characters was amazing. It was something that kept me engaged into the book because I wanted to see what the characters would say next. I loved all the musical references. As someone who loves music and has been around musicians, it was awesome to have a story I really connected with.

Highly recommend if you love stories about musicians, fake to real relationships, amazing characters who feel real, and amazing witty banter.

Pop star Ryan De Luna is intrigued when he first meets Maisy, a woman who seems immune to his celebrity status. When he hears her YouTube cover of one of his biggest hits, he offers Maisy and her brothers the chance of a lifetime—to be his opening band. With their mother’s medical bills mounting up, Maisy and her brothers accept.

While touring, Maisy and Ryan become close. He appreciates that she is oblivious to the fame that surrounds him. Ryan helps Maisy overcome the belief that musicians will always disappoint you, baggage she has been carrying since her father tossed his family aside for his band.

I thought the plot and the writing were great. There were only a couple of things about this book that made it less than a five star read for me. There was hardly any heat in this book (a little kissing and that was it). I don’t need erotica but a little passion would have been nice. I also didn’t care for the drama at the very end. It seemed a little too forced/contrived. I almost thought there was going to be a cliffhanger but then it wrapped up really quickly.

Eeep!!! This was so good! If I had to review this book using only emojis, it would be the emoji with the heart eyes. ;)
I already happen to love stories between a celebrity and a “normal” person but this one was extra fun because it followed a pop star/musician on tour. I found all the behind the scene tid bits of tour life so entertaining.
However, what made the book really good, was the chemistry and bantering and relationship between Ryan and Maisy. This author does a good job of making the chemistry hot and swoon worthy without ever crossing the line.
I also liked the other characters even though the brothers were sometimes a bit annoying...funny, but annoying...which is pretty much how Maisy felt about them, too.
There are a few sensitive/sad topics in this book but it was all handled well...basically showing how the music world isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
Anyway, another really fun read...if you liked the first one, #starstruck, then you probably will love this one, too! (If you haven’t read the first one, do yourself a favor and go read it now.)

I was first introduced to Sariah Wilson's stellar writing abilities when I read #Starstruck, the first book in the series. And though #Moonstruck has a different feel to it, the magic remains. I fell in love with the characters immediately. Ryan and Maisy had an explosive chemistry and it showed at first glance. The Harrison boys were an absolute hoot, and the whole tour bus situation never fails to make romance more potent and fiery. The family drama was understandably heavy. It didn't feel stupid or brought up just to make the main character a person with "issues", though I still wanted to smack Maisy for letting it control her life for so long.

I would have liked to understand why Diego had an attitude towards Maisy a little better. I feel like that wasn't addressed at all, and would not be against getting to know one of Maisy's brothers a little better. I can see potential there.

A great light summer read. Would highly recommend

#Moonstruck follows a similar outline to #Starstruck. Normal girl meets famous boy and they fall in love. Something happens to put their relationship to the test, but then they all live happily ever after. At first, I was a little put off by how similar #Moonstruck was to #Starstruck. The beginning scenarios are pretty much the same, except #Moonstruck has musicians instead of actors. I began to enjoy the book a lot more when we were introduced to Maisy’s brothers and their overbearing need to protect her. The characters were all really enjoyable and had great personalities, including the minor characters like Piper who we only briefly read about. (But what is the deal with Diego? We never found out why he was so cold.) The writing and story were compelling and everything was well paced. Sariah Wilson is also very skilled at writing PG-13 romances. Maisy and Ryan don’t do anything more than kiss, but they are still steamy and passionate.

My biggest hang up about this book was Maisy’s attitude towards other women. She grew up with brothers, so she feels like she constantly needs to reaffirm that she is not a typical girl. She slut-shames women and looks down at their actions and fashion choices. She even makes up a name for Ryan’s groupies and somehow they’re all the same, even though Angie, her best friend, used her connections to get into Ryan’s meet and greet as well? Another example was when Maisy meets Ryan’s back-up dancers and she criticizes them for not eating their food and talking about the latest shows and whatnot. And then she only reaches out to them when she needs them for a dress to wear. It seemed so judgmental and self-centered.

While on the topic of Maisy’s shortcomings, I did enjoy the twist and Maisy’s subsequent growth. It’s pretty much mandatory for romance novels to have a twist before the ending is resolved, but they don’t usually focus on the faults of the protagonist. Maisy’s recognition that she did something wrong was quite refreshing and really well done.

Overall, this was an enjoyable book and I’m definitely going to read the next one.

Another treasure by Sariah Wilson! This is the second book in the series and just as enjoyable. This is the story of Maisy and Ryan. Two musicians with similar backgrounds and a love for music. The story was very believable and realistic, which I like. Maisy's character was very dynamic and I enjoyed seeing her change and open up throughout the book. Ryan was a good guy and I liked that he was the entire story. The way that Sariah weaves romance and swoon into her stories without making them R-rated is refreshing. It's nice to read one of her stories and not be ashamed to tell what you've read. Another great story! I can't wait for the next one!

The second book in the #Lovestruck series does not disappoint with Sariah Wilson's trademark humor, snark, and heart.

Maisy (and this reader) wasn't that impressed to meet Ryan, one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. He comes off as an insufferable jerk, at first. But over the course of the novel, both Maisy and this reader fell in love with him. Ryan is just a perfect romance hero, sexy and sweet and their banter was perfect.

I will say there was one sour note in this book for me and that was Maisy being a bit "slut-shamey" with another female character. It seemed out of character for Maisy and jerked me out of the story. However, the rest of the book was excellent, well-researched, and a fun read!

Fans of Wilson’s #Starstruck should love the second installment in the #Lovestruck series. #Moonstruck is the perfect summer romance read.

This series is so good. I fell in love with Maisy and Ryan because it was different. Maisy had this tough side that you thought no way is he getting in. But Ryan was always just so good to her. The way there lives cross and the story is told it makes you want to keep reading. I finished this book in less then 24 hours because I wanted to see how it ends. I’m hoping for another book soon.
This book was beyond what I expected.
