This was a great read! I love all the imagery of Christmas in the Swiss Alps. Great wedding story as well! The dresses all sound amazing.

Predictable story line and ending, likeable characters. While the folktales were interesting, Felicity seemed sophomoric when dealing with love.

Christmas at the Chalet by Anita Hughes
This book starts out with Felicity a wedding dress designer and how she's in St. Maritz, Switzerland for the runway event her and her business partner, Raj have scheduled.
One of the models takes sick due to high altitude and Felicity puts the wedding dress on-the one she had designed so the photographer could take the necessary photos.
She and Adam plan to get married but just not yet...love hearing of her design work as I'd often be found sketching a sweater design at 3am myself. Always keep paper on my nighttable.
She had left hastily for work this Christmas, brunch with her in laws to be...
Love donation to charity, from their proceeds. She injures herself while getting a gift for Adam and a doctor takes over her care.
Very descriptive details, not only of the gowns but surrounding areas and things to do. Like drama of all the models and how things work out in the end.
Lots of turmoil but the events and scenery are heavenly to hear about. Breakups and forgivenesses and makeup sex play a big part in the scheme of things. Ending was unexpected...
Other works by the author are highlighte dat the end.
Received this review copy via St. Martin's Press from Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

Anita Hughes is back! Amongst the opulence and glitter was an underlying message of hope and love. I closed the book with a smile.

"Say Yes To The Dress" meets St. Moritz. Felicity Grant is a bridal designer who is coming up in the world. Currently she is having a her latest runway show in Switzerland, St. Moritz to be exact. While she is a successful designer, her love life is going through a "rough" patch. Her boyfriend Adam of 6 years is now suggesting they take a break, perhaps go out with other people. What she doesn't see is the answer to her predicament staring right in front of her. Will she find happiness with Adam, will she ultimately make a wedding gown for herself? In the meantime, she is in a time crunch to design a gown for a renowned bridal salon.

At the other end of the spectrum, we find Nell one of the models hired for the runway show. Her parents are divorced and neither one will attend her upcoming wedding if the other does. To make matters worse, they both show up in St. Moritz and Nell is trying to keep them apart and not run into one another.

The setting for this novel couldn't be better, especially since I'm reading it in Florida in July!! The descriptions of the landscape, the town and the hotels will make you want to hop on a plane and stay there until after the holidays. This is not the first book I've read by Ms. Hughes and certainly it won't be the last. For a summer read, this novel is one I would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed. My thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

A charming Christmas romance set in Switzerland featuring the world of bridal fashion, a divorced couple seemingly at odds, and a budding romance. Felicity's Christmas is off to a bad start when her boyfriend does not present her with an engagement ring for Christmas. Will she ever be able to wear one of her own bridal fashions?

Lovely, romantic escape filled with flash backs to a former marriage that went awry, compared to newly budding relationships. This all takes place in St. Moritz and could be a travel guide convincing everyone to visit. Even better, it all takes place at Christmas. The character development is good and the book has enough tension to engage the reader. Like most romantic fiction, it is a bit predictable, but I imagine many people read these books comforted by the fact that everything will work out successfully. #ChristmasAtTheChalet #NetGalley
