It may just be my love for romance and country music that dragged me in but I loved the wild ride of You'd Be Mine. It reminded me of the show 'Nashville' and the movie 'A Star Is Born' which are both fantastic.

Annie and Clay are two young, rising country stars that have faced their own hardships and challenges in life. Annie is the daughter of country music royalty and is determined not to follow in her parent's footsteps. She is brought onto Clay's summer tour to help fix his image in the public eye. Unlike Annie, Clay jumped head first into the music business and has been "enjoying" every aspect of the high life.

This was a cute contemporary romance with likable characters that make you want to root them on. Erin Hahn did such a good job that there were times when I felt like I was right alongside them on the tour, even on stage at points. Kudos to Hahn on her debut novel! I cannot wait to read more from her.

As we grow older, we find ourselves emulating our parents in one way or another. Whether it’s their looks, their eyes or their mannerisms.. these things are passed down to us in some way but something that is not passed on are our parents mistakes. We may feel like we have to carry the mistakes with us but we aren’t doomed to repeat them. This book teaches us that grief is a terrible thing that can be all consuming, that those we love the most have the greatest capacity to hurt us and that we can either use all that pain to drive us forward or let it drown you.

Annie and Clay are two characters who were both dealt a harsh hand by fate. When they are set on the same course, their lives are forever altered by the love that helps them finally heal from their past hurts.

I plain and simple loved this book, it may have been one of the sweetest books I’ve ever read because even through the pain, we are taught that life can be beautifully wonderful at the end of the day.

I received this book from netgalley in exchange an honest review.
You'd Be Mine is full of swoon-worthy moments, country music, heart-wrenching scenes, great friendships, and some of the best, fun-loving characters a contemporary book can have!
You'd Be Mine has dual POVs. We go back and forth from Clay Coolidge and Annie Mathers perspective. I loved both of these characters from the get-go. They totally contrast each other and I love that. The character development of both these characters is done so perfectly.
One of my favorite things about this book is the friendships. Annie's band members add so much to this story. Kacey is her cousin/fiddler player and Jason is her best friend/drummer. They make the perfect trio. Clay has his best friend/fiddle player Fitz. He is always there when Clay needs him and seems to always know the right thing to say.
I love how country music is incorporated into this book. There are fictional country singers but sprinkled throughout the story are some of the greats in country music. It really made the story feel authentic.
Erin has an amazing talent of making you fully feel the atmosphere in this book. I always felt like I was actually with these characters where ever they were. And any emotion they felt, I felt right along with them.
I definitely recommend reading You'd Be Mine as soon as it hits shelves next spring. I also recommend listening to the playlist for this book. It's perfect. I loved listening to it while writing this up!

You'd Be Mine is such a sweet and charming YA novel!!

I finished this book in a little over one day!! Let's meet Annie and Clay. Two young and upcoming country stars that have their own inner demons and challenges to overcome in this journey called life.

What I really loved about this one? It wasn't all that cheesy romance scenes between teenagers... it went so much more deeper then the surface level. Yes don't get me wrong... there were a few scenes that I was thinking hmm that's a bit cheesy but overall I loved this book!!

I loved the entire cast of this book! They were all supportive, caring, compassionate, and in all likable! It was a very strong debut novel and am impressed by Erin Hahn's voice. She has a way to getting into the heart and soul of her readers <3 <3.

If you're a fan of YA novels that make you smile, swoon, laugh, and feel all the emotions than get this book on your TBR!

Huge thank you to Wednesday books for the arc generously provided via Netgalley.

4 strong stars!!!

I received an ARC of this novel from Netgalley in exchange for my review. You'd Be Mine is perfect story for those of you who are fans of the show, Nashville or if you have any interest in the world of country music. This is the story of Annie Mathers who is the daughter of Nashville royalty and Clay Coolidge who's good looks and great voice have rocketed him to country music stardom. They both bring heaping helpings of baggage, but both need each other to push their singing careers even further. But will their baggage stop them before they can even get their careers off the ground?

I think this is a perfect YA read. Great chemistry between the characters and a fast moving story line.

My first review for this book was sorely inadequate. This book was far far better than I had possibly anticipated when I requested it and was granted the copy via NetGalley. So, thank you, NetGalley, for allowing me the chance to read this book.
First off, I'm not usually a contemporary reader. When I do read contemporary, I'm usually fairly selective and don't tend to venture too far from authors I'm comfortable with, so this was a first for me by this author and I'd never really read something that goes this far into the music industry and I loved it. Maybe it's because I'm a country music fan and have been since I was little, so I understood the references and everything, but I enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes stuff for that world.
I adore Clay and Annie both for their own reasons. They both had a very troubled past, Annie haunted by the very industry she's trying to find her place in, and Clay in ways more personal and close to home.
Towards the beginning and a few times throughout I found myself annoyed by Clay's antics but over the course of the book as Annie got to know him more and as his other sides came out and he grew into who he was by the end, I absolutely loved him.
The chemistry between them was palpable and I definitely enjoyed watching this story, their story, develop and take shape over the fateful summer. I cannot wait for this to release and to see how other people enjoyed this one.

A lovely, fun contemporary read! I fell in love with the relationships and friendships in this book, add in a musical setting and this made for a very heartwarming read.

Sadly, I could not connect with the overall story. I hope I dont dissapoint you, but it the overall story was not what I expected. I would rather not give a negative feedback on this, and I hope I could be considered for more titles.

You'd Be Mine is such a charming YA romance. I was engrossed in Annie and Clay's story, I finished it in one day. Put this one on your TBR if you enjoy love stories involving swoony bad boys and smart girls, country music, and happy endings.

You’d Be Mine by Erin Hahn is a young adult contemporary romance that takes readers behind the scenes of the world of county music. It’s a bit of an opposites attract where the bad boy isn’t really as bad as he pretends to be.

Annie Mathers isn’t too sure of stepping into the spotlight in the country music industry after what happened to her parents. Both music legends themselves Annie’s parents fell victims to the dark side of the industry and it cost them their lives leaving Annie alone in the world. However, Annie’s talent surpasses that of her parents and the labels are battling over getting her to join.

Much like Annie, Clay Coolidge was born with a natural musical talent that stood out from the rest. Clay however jumped right into the business and hasn’t looked back. When Clay’s label wants to sign Annie to open for his next tour they give him the task of having to convince her to join him on the road, will Annie be able to resist his bad boy charm?

You’d Be Mine is a cute little contemporary romance that reminded me a bit of the television show Nashville. This has all the ins and outs, the ups and downs and intrigue of the behind the scenes of the music business. The characters were likable and fun to root for and the story felt as if heading right out on tour along with them giving all the emotion of their journey along the way.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I stopped reading this book at 25% through because basically I was bored. The two main characters had not had any type of meaningful conversation and there was no chemistry building between them. The description of the book peaked my interest but the story was way too slow in development.

A sweet and some what predictable read that you can’t help but fall in love with. It was alluring page turner until the very last page.

This is such a cute, feel good contemporary novel. It would be a perfect summer read. As a country music fan myself, I was super excited to dive into this book. I was not disappointed. The love story was that good slow burn that kept me turning the pages. It was interesting to read a little bit about the process of performing and touring. Erin Hahn makes you feel like you are on stage with Annie and Clay. The tension and electricity between the two of them hooks you so quickly and has you rooting for them until the end. I would recommend this to any fans of contemporary fiction!

Loved the story! The depth, the the stakes, love it. Loved the growth of both characters and the messy, realistic way they came through. I absolutely would love to have a soundtrack for this book to hear some of the songs written about. Loved the prose and the beautiful way it was written.

I don't usually read books with this level of language, so unfortunately I don't feel like I could recommend it, although it's such a fabulous book.

I really thought I would enjoy You'd Be Mine, but I didn't. From the first page, I felt no connection, and my interest disappeared. I think perhaps the story was instantly too familiar like so many ya books I've read. Some variation would be awesome.

This book took me back to when I was thirteen and I was convinced that Taylor Swift was the most country singer out there. It made me feel fuzzy and warm inside, and it was so sweet and funny.

Damn this is a stupid stupid book, with a story that was written from such half heart.
Story is most typical love story that could be possible in love stories...

Girl and Boy, A band, and boy keep saying I am wrong for you, I am wrong for you.. but girl get attracted..
And slowly they uncover each other true self.. but what they unpeel is back stories of characters..

It such a common dialogue ever :
"I am wrong for you, I am a bad boy, don't fall for me, I will break your heart"

It's a total, Not You But Me Story

Great book for music lovers. There are multiple song lyrics in the story. Annie and Clay each have their own demons to fight and to a degree they have to do it on their own. When they do need support they are there for each other. Not much romance but it really is about their personal journey to being a better person.
