A tale about two people who have been abused, and how they find one another through it all. Annie is living with an abusive fiancé while Tyler has his own tales. When Tyler sees that Annie needs help he does what he can to help her, he just didn’t think he would find the love of his life also. This book touches on the realities of abuse and what people will do because of it, and shows that there are people out there who will help if they are needed. I like how the story moves at a good pace and you feel like you get to know each person and what has happened to shape them into who they are today. Definitely a good read.

Tyler has come back to the one place that has always been peaceful for him, his grandfathers cabin. And he also has another mission, join the Blue Guardians. He loves what they do and what they stand for and wants to help those who are living in abusive situations and need help to get out. When he sees a beautiful woman at the local diner she immediately grabs his attention and he feels like he knows her. What he also sees is that she is being abused and needs help, and he wants to be the one that helps her.

Annie notices Tyler right away and feels like he is familiar, but she tries to not give him too much attention otherwise her fiancé will make it an issue. But no matter what she does, she cant’t help but be drawn to Tyler and when he tells her he can help her, she knows that he can. But can she finally break the ties with her fiancé and get the help she needs? Or will it be too late to walk away from her situation?

A heart warming and emotional romance story. Tyler moves to Black Widow Texas to have a new start. He joins the The Blue Guardian MC. The main purpose of this club is to help abused women and children a cause that’s important to Tyler. Tyler runs into a face from his past. Annie is a local waitress, she is engaged to an abusive man. Will Tyler and the Blue Guardians be able to save her. Tank is full of surprises that will keep you captive till the end. This book is amazing it shows a different side to Biker Clubs and touches on the alarming topic of abuse. I look forward to getting to know more of the Blue Guardians.

I received an arc from Netgalley. This was an awesome reason. A story about abuse and finding your true love. Couldn’t put it down.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. The storyline was quite different -- I don't want to give anything away -- let me just say this is not your usual "abusive cop/boyfriend" book -- it takes on a distinctly fresh approach to the whole abuse theme and once you read it, you'll know what I'm talking about. I really liked Tank/Tyler -- he sounds like a big gentle teddy bear. There's also a few shockers and twists and turns along the way to keep it interesting! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

When Tyler tries to find his way into the Blue Guardians, an MC that helps abused children and women, he's got good reasons for wanting to join. After all, he's no stranger to abuse himself. And when he recognizes a local waitress in his new town as a young girl he once knew when they were children, and it appears she's suffering from abuse herself, he's doubly sure he wants to join the Blue Guardians.

I found Tank to be a powerful story of two people's journey to healing, to love, to acceptance. I like how Annie slowly comes to trust Ty, and how Ty fits right in with his new club. And I love how they finally get Annie's abuser out of her life. All in all, Tank is a wonderful, well-written story. Kudos to Erin Bevan!

I received a copy from NetGalley for an honest review. I couldn't be happier! I never had heard of this author and I can't believe it!

Tank is a guy with a pretty dark past. He moves to his grandfather's cabin after his grandfather passes away. Tank didn't have many wonderful memories growing up, but he had wonderful memories about a girl he'd see at his grandfather's house. Tank is also on a mission to join the Blue Guardians a MC which saves abused women and children. What a better place to plant your roots then the one place that filled you with hope and happiness?

Little does Tank know but that younger girl he had a crush on still lives in town. He bumps into her In a diner but she doesn't have the same free spirit she once exuded. Piece by piece Tank realizes Annie is in an abusive relationship with a police officer in town.

Will Tank and the Blue Guardians be able to save Annie from her abusive fiancé?

This book had me on the edge of my seat! I was in a tug of war over wanting to find out what happens and not wanting the book to end! I am praying there's a second book to this series!

When Tyler Wilde’s grandfather dies and leaves him his home in Black Widow, Texas, he decides to move there. He spent summers there for many years and the place holds wonderfully fond memories for him. He’s also been told that there is a group/biker club that helps abused women and children and he wants to join.

After a couple of weeks of living in Black Widow Tyler heads to the local diner to get donuts for his co-workers and runs into Annie. They realize after talking that she was the little girl across the river that he taught to skip rocks one summer. Tyler can tell almost immediately that Annie is trying to hide signs of abuse.

Tyler becomes a prospect in the Blue Guardians and earns the name Tank due to his size. They end up helping Annie try to get away from her fiancé, permanently. Unfortunately her fiancé is a cop and a well-respected man in the community – no one knows what a monster he is. While Annie stays at Tank’s house her friendship with him turns deeper and they both realize they have feelings for each other. Annie, however, doesn’t know if she can trust any man after what she’s been through.

This is my first read by this author. I was intrigued by the concept of an MC created to help abused women and children. It was a good concept and one I enjoyed reading about. Tank had been abused as a boy and he was still, even as an adult, working through his issues. Because of his background he was especially good with children who’d been abused and I loved that the author gave him a soft heart due to his past.

Annie was a trooper. Seriously – that woman had gone through hell and just couldn’t figure out how to extricate herself from the situation. I was happy that she finally took Tank up on his offer of protection and that the Blue Guardians stepped in as well.

Despite my enjoyment of the Blue Guardians the story did lag at times and I found it a struggle to not skip pages/skim. There were also some things that happened in the book that had my eyes rolling because the characters were so gullible. In the end I found that I liked about half of the book and found the other half just ok.

When Tyler Wylde (Tank) inherits his grandfather’s cabin in Black Widow Texas, he moves back for one main reason and that is to join the Blue Guardians, a MC club that protects women and children in abusive situations. Tank sees a childhood friend and everything indicates she need the Blue Guardians help. Annie Cater does need his help, but is afraid to accept and Tank needs to convince her before it’s too late.
This is feel good book with romance and suspense. Very different for a MC book, but Erin Bevan makes it works and she wrote the first book in her new series, Black and Blue introducing her readers to the Blue Guardians Bike Club.

This is my first book by this author and it is the first book in this series.
Annie is a young waitress at the diner Tyler has discovered when he moved to his deceased grandfather's hometown. Tyler sees her and remembers her from when he was young and would visit his grandfather. He remembers her as sweet and outgoing. Now she has her arms covered and is distant. Tyler believes she is being abused and says as much to his new MC who protects women and children from being abused. They tell him there is nothing they can do until she asks for help.
I felt this story was slow going and didn't hold my attention as well as it should have since the back cover of the book drew me in with the synopsis.

Pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed this (couldn't sleep last night so I stayed up and read the book in about 3 hours) and look forward to the next in the series. A story about a serious topic (abuse) with just the right amount of romance and suspense to make it a fast, enjoyable read. Thank you #netgalley and #backlitpr for the eARC.

"You can't out-brave crazy."

Erin Bevan is a new author to me, but I couldn't resist checking out her new release featuring the Blue Guardians MC that helps abused women and children. Yeah, I'm an MC Romance addict and a badass biker is my kryptonite, especially one that is badass for a good cause.

Well, after having read hundreds of biker books, I must say this motorcycle club is unique. They are definitely not 1% and they allow women to be patched members. So, don't expect this story to be similar to other MC Romances you've read before, because the focus is on relationships and abuse more than the club lifestyle. While it may be different, that doesn't mean there isn't suspense.

The author did a good job of pulling me into Annie's crisis, making me feel her pain and desperation. She also did an excellent job of making me hate the villain, I was ready to join the club (you know since they do allow women, right?) and kick his ass myself. She pulled a little sneaky-sneak too, throwing in some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting that made things even more interesting.

If you are a fan of insta-love you'll enjoy this one. Tank is drawn to Annie immediately, but he has to bide his time to get close to her. She's like a wounded animal that doesn't trust anyone, and when you meet her fiance you will understand why. She sees no way out of her current situation, and when the sexy biker offers to help her she refuses at first. Though eventually, he becomes "My knight in bandana-clad armor."

I enjoyed meeting the other members of the club and I'm curious about what led them to become involved in the Blue Guardians. Tank shared that, "Truth is, I'm broken, and I know you don't want to add my past to your pain." I'm pretty sure that they each have a history of abuse that led them there and that future installments will shed some light on their pasts. The series is titled, Black and Blue, right?

I wanted this book to be so much more but I had a hard time finishing it. I love Tanks heart and how much compassion he has but everything was just to much. He tries to swoop in ansave the day, hero complex and then he joins up with these guardians group and it just adds to his hero complex. It was just to much for me.

Spoiler : Contains domestic violence, as well as mentions of other types of physical abuse.

That being said, the story is well written and hits hard on domestic violence. The romance is sweet and tender. I enjoyed every aspect of the story.

This must be the first time that I read about an MC Biker gang that dedicate time to help children and woman who were victims of abuse, I so appreciated that. So we meet Tyler who joins The Blue Guardians to forget about his abusive past, he has such a big heart. Then we have Annie, what that poor girl went thru, ahhhhh your heart goes out to her and thankfully she meets and has Tank to help her. Won't tell you more but grab a copy..

Erin Bevan has created a story where a MC Gang instead of being about violence they are about helping those in need. The Author has create a wonderful premise but the execution falls apart in the characters. The lead characters in this book come off childish even though they have both been though abuse. The authors writing style is very immature for the topic she is writing about.

Many times I found myself flipping pages that were meant for character building due to the lack of editing that was needed.

The author covers all topics including how difficult it is to forgive those who have hurt them physically, emotionally and sexually. Some of the characters comes off flat while others will pop off the pages. The author has done her research enough to create characters who will pull at readers heart strings.

Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of Erin Bevan Tank
