If you have kept up with Sawyer Bennetts Hockey series, you'll enjoy this addition. And if you haven't, you'll still enjoy it as a stand alone. It's more fun to know all the back ground characters, but it isn't necessary to enjoy the book.

ARC received for review

Bishop, a hot hockey player for a new expansion team, meets Brooke for a one night stand. Next day they meet again and are suddenly engaged thanks to Brooke's father walking in on a torrid kiss. Fake engagement, awesome teammates, crazy friend (or should I say psycho) and lots & lots of hot sex.

This is going to be a great series. I can't wait to learn more about Dax, Erik, Legend, Tacker, and I hope the new owner, Dominik. The one I want most is tortured Tacker, but I'm sure he's going to be last. Erik is up next, and I hope it's with the brunette who keeps snubbing him.

Sawyer Bennett is at it again with another Hockey franchise with the Arizona Vengeance. This is a brand new series which follows hockey players as they fall in love. The one difference between these books and Carolina Cold Fury is that their is more male perspective and more hockey talk in this book.

It is no secret that hockey romances are my favorite subgenre. I finished this book and it left me longing for more books in this series. I am kinda mad that I have to wait 4 more months until the next installment. Full disclosure I read this book on June 13, 2018. I know I couldn't wait until August.

Ok let's get to the review.

Plot: This is the story of Bishop and Brooke. They meet at a bar  before the start of training camp and have a one night stand. Is it fate or perhaps coincidence, they see each other the next day. They are caught up by Brooke's dad who happens to be the new coach. Brooke spills that she is engaged with Bishop and a fake relationship ensues.

To be honest there wasn't much angst which I like. We did have to deal with a crazy character as a subplot which I think move the story along.

Character: I love that we were in Bishop's head for about 60% of the book. The Brooke chapters were fewer and far between. Bishop was a swoony hero. He was a good man who happen to never had a serious relationship. When he started to fall in love with Brooke he really didn't freak out.

Brooke was a smart, loving, who kept things together. I was annoyed at Brooke for blaming herself over the whole Nanette fiasco.

Let's talk about the side characters, i.e. the other hockey players. I love that we go hints on  the next book which follows Eric and Blue. I can't wait to get my hands on this book. I am curious about Dax on who would be his match. The one that I really want a book is Tacker Hall who tragically lost his fiancee. I want to read his book ASAP. I am so mad that it's not listed for pre-order.

As far as the upcoming books goes, we have Eric releasing November 6, 2018 and Legend releasing February 5, 2019. You better believe that I already pre-order the books.

Romance: This book was full of steamy scenes. The romance was on point. I love how it was natural for them to fall in love.

My feels: This is a great first book in a series that I know it's going to be in my list of favorite hockey romances. I encourage you to give it  a try.

When I heard Sawyer was coming out with a brand new hockey romance series I was dying to get my hands on it!!!! I devoured Bishop in record time and it’s official—Sawyer Bennett has done it again! I loved EVERYTHING about this novel- great storyline ✅, awesome characters ✅, already on the hook for future installments ✅!! I love how invested I got in the characters! The Arizona Vengeance series is going to be an automatic 1-click for me, but honestly Sawyer Bennett never let me down! Bishop is a 4.5 star read that I highly recommend to everyone!

I really enjoyed Bishop & Brook‘s story. I love the new Team & all the characters we get to know & wait for their own stories.

It all starts with Bishop seeing Brooke across a crowded bar and then trying to get her attention. Only, she surprises him when she invites him back to her apartment for a one night stand. Only first names are exchanged after there wonderful night together so imagine Bishop's surprise when he sees her at the hockey arena where he is a hockey team player. He thinks it is fate.
When Brooke's dad (also known as Bishop's coach) sees them lip locked in her office, she tells her dad they are engaged and have been dating for a few months. This starts the beginning of there fake relationship that somewhere along the way becomes a real relationship.
Like all of Miss Bennett's books I have read, this one does not disappoint. I greatly enjoyed this love story in her newest hockey series. I look forward to reading the next ones in this series.
My only tiny complaint is we didn't get an epilogue. I feel I need one!

What does it take to actually fall in love....a hook up, a fake out, a protective father, an evil, psycho "friend", but most of all having each other's backs and getting to know each other and loving what you are getting to know. Loved this romance...and Bishop too. :-)

Bishop was a cute, very quick read. There wasn't anything new or different about it, but I still liked it.

The characters were okay. They both have things about them that I really like. Bishop is a sweet, fun guy who really cares for Brooke. Brooke is a nice, independent, down to earth woman. That being said, unfortunately, they were both a little boring. Bishop's personality in the beginning of the book does a 180 pretty early on. He goes from being a manwhore who wants next to nothing to do with this fake engagement to someone who has just accepted it and is all relationship gun-ho now. It made their relationship feel inauthentic.

Brooke started to get on my nerves toward the end of the book. She's an incredibly smart woman, but then she decides to trust Nanette with their secret and then believes her very fake apology. Again, it didn't make sense with her character. Furthermore, her reaction at the end after the news came out was just over the top. It was like she just decided to take responsibility for everything just for the sake of dramatics. That kind of ruined her for me.

Nanette's story line felt like it was thrown in there for conflict purposes. I could see how it could have been a good plot line, but it just wasn't executed very well.

Despite that, this does seem to be a promising series and I'm looking forward to reading about the other guys. It looks like Erik's book is next and will more than likely feature a certain feisty flight attendant. I will say, I can't wait for Tacker's book. That one will probably be a doozy.

Overall, give this one a shot. If you liked the Cold Fury series, you'll definitely like this one.

I am a really big fan of Sawyer Bennett and the Cold Fury hockey series. I loved everything about it so when i saw that she was writing another hockey series I was really interested in reading it. I have to say Sawyer Bennett nailed it with this series. I love everything about it. I cannot wait to read more about the Arizona Vengeance hockey team. She did such a great job explaining about how the team was formed and I just loved being introduced to the new Arizona Vengeance hockey family. I loved Bishop. He was so sweet but also very hot. Brooke was the perfect match for him. It started out as a one night stand and then things got complicated. I loved how Bishop and Brooke's relationship grew. I really think that as their relationship grew that each of them grew as a person too. I honestly cannot wait until the next book in this series. I have to tell you I am really hoping that Tacker gets his own book because he is one mysterious man. All in all this was a really amazing first book for the series and I cannot wait to see what is in store next for the hockey players of the Arizona Vengeance team. Thanks Net Galley for giving me a chance to read this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! Wow! Wow! This is the first book I've ever read by Sawyer Bennett and holy moly!! Why did I wait so long to try out her stories? This book had humor, wit, and lots of sexiness! Damn! I had to turn down the temperature of my air conditioner because it was steamy!!
I'm so glad she has a long backlist, I know what I'll be reading this summer.

3.5

Requested and received an ARC from Netgalley.

I won’t lie and say this covers any new ground in the “fake fiance” trope but that doesn’t make it any less enjoyable. It’s cute that these two think this fib is gonna be over and done in a few weeks. Bishop seems to fight the inevitable longer than Brooke does, but his efforts are weak at best. For the most part this book is just a solid enjoyable romance with a cast of hockey players I can’t wait to spend more time with (I’m already jonesing for Tacker’s book and it doesn’t look like his is up any time soon) but I did have a problem with Nanette. She felt shoved into the story (as though someone suggested last minute that SB needed an antagonist) so she got added with no regard to the story that had already been built or the fact that her necessity was contradicted within a chapter of her being introduced. *big sigh* THEN to add insult to injury after enduring this weird “single white female” like character her story isn’t even wrapped up at the end. Am I the only one that thinks not every love story needs a villain? Sometimes you just want to read a boy meets girl and they eventually fall in love....no excessive drama....just two people finding their happy together with some occasional hot sex. Bishop and Brooke would have been perfect with that kind of story. Take out Nanette and add an epilogue and this would have easily been a 4-4.5 star read for me. Not sure what SB has against the epilogue but her ending always feel so abrupt that I feel like she NEEDS the epilogue just to ease the ending. Overall though a fun read and I can’t wait to get to some of the other players!

I am loving this new series from Sawyer Bennett! Arizona Vengeance is a new series, but still about smiling hot hockey players! Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron find themselves in an awkward situation when they spend a night together, only to find themselves both working for the Vengeance. To make matters worse, Brooke's dad is Bishop's new coach. Since he caught them in an embarrassing movement, Brooke leads her dad to believe there is more to them that a one night stand.

I thought this was a funny and great way to start the new series of Vegas Hockey players! I read this by the pool in one day and loved every second of it!

A very amusing and romantic story of a "fake" relationship that of course becomes very very real. I completely enjoyed the ride. Love the hockey players and the insight into the game.
Entertainment at it's finest.

New series! New hockey team! Author Sawyer Bennett pens a new hockey series featuring the men of Arizona's Vengeance. The book is full of introductions - a tall, dark, handsome and mysterious owner with a heart, a broken veteran hockey player who has given up on life, several younger, energetic rookies....and Bishop. Bishop is hot, buff, and really not interested in a serious relationship. Not interested until he meets Brooke. Brooke is young, gorgeous and also not interested in a serious relationship. Not interested until she meets Bishop. Maybe not the formula for an easy relationship but a great plot for a story that has passion, action and heart. Don't miss this exceptional beginning of another great series. You will find a familiar dedication to well developed characters, carefully plotted action and got romance. You will also find a story that will draw you in. Don't miss Sawyer Bennett's next best selling series!

Three words to describe this book: HOT, HOT, HOT. Bishop and Brooke are unforgettable. I will definitely be going back to reread this book because everything about Bishop screams book boyfriend. (Do you see what I did there?)

Bishop is an alpha male hockey player. I don’t know what it is about hockey players, but can we all just admit that they are hot? Brooke is smart and sweet. The combination of the two is fireworks.

Ugh. How long do I have to wait for Erik’s story? ;-)

I love the cold fury series so I'm super excited about this new hockey series! Bishop and Brooke were excellent together and while the plot line was a little predictable, I felt there was enough extra to keep the story fresh and engaging. I'm also really hoping to get Tacker's story sooner rather than later!

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

Sawyer Bennett's Arizona Vengeance series is off to a fantastic start! I've always enjoyed Sawyer's hockey series and this one is going to be no exception.

Bishop Scott has been traded from New York to the new expansion team, the Arizona Vengeance. He's trying to find his footing with a new team, a new routine and a new town. While out at a bar one night, he sets his sights on a beautiful woman across the bar who is definitely returning the vibes he's sending off. Of course he just thinks it will be a one night stand and that's that. Little does he know that the woman is going to end up becoming a huge part of his life...

Brooke Perron is also new to Arizona and she's only there so she can help out her father who is still grieving the death of her mother and his wife. She wants to support her Dad, so she left a job she loved in New York to follow him and now that means that she is working where he does - for the Arizona Vengeance.

When Bishop and Brooke come face-to-face in the Vengeance offices after their one night together, they are both stunned. They are still very much attracted to one another and it's clear that Brooke had no idea that Bishop was one of her father's star players. When the two are caught in a compromising position by Brooke's father, who also is Bishop's head coach, Brooke quickly tells him they are engaged. Of course she does it to save Bishop a rash of grief from his new boss, but is it actually going to get them into a situation that will be harder to get out of or does it have the makings of a relationship that could go from fake to forever?

This was really enjoyable, the story was great and the characters were solid. I did feel like the ending was a little bit abrupt. I would have liked an epilogue or something that tied things up the drama that caused issues for them a little bit more. Overall, a very solid start to this new series. I am definitely looking forward to more!

I loved Bishop Scott! He was actually a decent man under the hockey player persona. He and Brooke's story was by turns funny and very sexy. My only issues were with Brooke, not speaking up and telling her dad the truth in the first place. And the other was letting Nanette steamroll over her. I can't see myself letting an acquaintance stay in my home, be rude and just disrupt my life. I would have like to see Nanette pay for the trouble she has caused. But all around it was a good read. I voluntarily read this book via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.
