I'm a BIG fan of Sawyer Bennett and have always thought she is a 4/5 star author so giving Bishop only 3 stars pains me because I really tried but I just thought it was only okay.

I'm loving that we get a new hockey series from Sawyer Bennett! The start of Bishop and Brooke didn't start out honestly, but how many one night stands start out truthfully? Brooke has a good head on her shoulders, she's all about her career and likes Bishop. As for Bishop, he's one of the rare athletes that doesn't come across as a d-bag. I enjoyed seeing the evolution of the relationship between B&B, and I'm looking forward to more from this series.

Oh what a tangled web we weave...starting a fake relationship is usually grounds for it's going to be up in your face, just depends on how epically the fallout will be. But when faced with a split second decision a fake relationship is exactly where Brooke and Bishop end up. Bonus points for the fact that the sex is awe inspiring, so spending time together is no hardship...pun intended.
And if the crazy fake relationship isn't enough remember to keep you friends close but your enemies closer cause everyone has someone bat$h!+ crazy in their life.
So excited about the Vengeance series set in the Cold Fury universe, gives me hope that we'll get to see our boys again! And get to know a whole new bunch of hot hockey men. Bring on the Vengeance!

3.75 stars.
Hockey romance, First book in Sawyer Bennett's new series- Arizona Vengeance.
Sweet, lighthearted, fun and easy reading.
Bishop and Brooke were a good match with a ton of sexual chemistry, entertaining story but I felt the need to deduct a quarter of a star for the books rather abrupt ending.
Enjoyable read.
I don't really even need to look at the blurb anymore for this author's books.
I always like them and I always finish them.

4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Move over Cold Fury there is a new team in town and they are ready to go! Sawyer Bennett brings her new series to life with the Arizona Vengeance and the first player Up is Bishop. He is cocky, sexy and knows his stuff, but will he be any match for Brooke? And when their one night stand turns to more will they be able to give each other a chance?

Great series debut for Arizona Vengeance, hockey's hottest new team, with memorable characters you want to be your friends, and a great story so well-crafted I couldn't put the book down from the first page to the last. I loved the instant attraction, sizzling chemistry and heartwarming romance between Bishop Scott co-captain first line right winger and Brooke Perron, assistant director of team services and daughter of the head coach. Ms. Bennett has given us another winner and I can hardly wait to see what happens next with the Arizona Vengeance. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my unbiased review.

The author, Sawyer Bennett, wasted no time bringing the heat in Bishop. Brooke and Bishop have amazing chemistry which started in chapter 1 in the cute hockey romance.
What started out as a rouse to placate her father ended with so much more.
There's a bit of mistrust and drama between this couple but they managed to work it out to find there HEA.

How do two people who shared one-night of no strings sex end up in a fake relationship the day after they thought they’d never see one another again?

For Bishop Scott and Brooke Perron, all it takes is an unexpected encounter between them and a visit from Brooke’s father who also happens to be the head coach of the Vengeance, Bishop’s new NHL team, to walk in on them at an inopportune time for Brooke to blurt out something that complicates Bishop and Brooke’s lives in multiple ways.

The player and the coach’s daughter…it kind of sounds like a tabloid headline, but in Sawyer Bennett’s newest release, it’s the reality that Bishop and Brooke find themselves in, and while neither wanted anything more than a wild roll in the sack, they now find themselves fabricating a two month relationship and heading towards a fake engagement due to their desire not to rock the boat when it comes to Brooke’s dad’s reaction to their duplicity.

Even though Bishop and Brooke’s relationship was forced at the beginning, there’s nothing fake about their sexual chemistry or how explosive they are when they’re together. Their first encounter was beyond satisfying, so the fact that Bishop wants to get him some by agreeing to Brooke’s charade isn’t surprising; in fact, his honesty is refreshing and as their ‘fake’ love turns into the real thing, Bishop continues to be upfront with Brooke and he treats her with respect and thoughtfulness every time they’re together.

I do have to admit that the story’s antagonist didn’t sit well with me, especially since Brooke’s relationship with this person wasn’t a close one. What I struggled with the most was how Brooke seemed like a pushover in certain situations; I get that Brooke likes to see the good in everyone but when it’s this blatantly obvious that the person she’s helping doesn’t deserve it, she has to stand up for herself and I just didn’t see that very much in their exchanges.

I’m definitely intrigued by the group of Bishop’s teammates Sawyer Bennett introduces her readers to, and while my opinion may not be the most popular, out of all of the players we met, I’m most anxious to get Tacker’s story, even if I already now it will be an uphill battle for the woman who wants to heal him and claim his heart.

Four stars for the brand new hockey series from Sawyer and I love it!! You just can’t go wrong with anything she writes. But I especially love me some hockey men.

Bishop by Sawyer Bennett is Arizona Vengeance book #1 and if this series is anything like Ms. Bennett's Cold Fury series we are in for a lot of fun. Bishop Scott is out for a night of fun before his first meeting with his new team, the Arizona Vengeance, the newest expansion team in the league. When, Brooke Perron, the woman he has his eyes on seems just as amiable as he to have a night of fun he is in luck. The next day when it turns out she works for the team things heat up again real fast. That is until her father, who just so happens to be his new coach catches them in the act.

Thankfully Brooke is fast on her feet, but all of a sudden Bishop has fake fiance and a coach that is breathing down his neck more than any other player on the team, and for more than one reason. Brooke's plan to eventually ease away from each other and take the blame for the break up seems like a good one, but the adage that practice makes perfect is usually more true as practice makes permanent and what Bishop and Brooke are practicing is starting to become both. Perfect and maybe permanent.

Ms. Sawyer has a talent for crafting fun characters that are put in interesting situations and this story was a fun ride. Brooke and Bishop click so well that it's not possible to let go. Both of their personalities shine through and their connection is strong from the start. Overall I very much enjoyed Bishop by Sawyer Bennett and can't wait for the rest of this series.

(I voluntarily reviewed an advance review copy of this book I received for free from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

Bishop for the most part is a good little story. Sawyer Bennett certainly has a grand love for her hockey players and it shows. Her characters are very personable and I can't help but root for their inevitable happily ever after.

Both Bishop and Brooke are newbies on the Arizona Vengeance. After their unexpected night of passion, coming face to face as player and daughter of the coach begins their charade of being a couple when neither of them truly want it. But, of course, they can't resist each other and what started as a front for being caught in an embrace by her father, turns into a love both never saw coming.

I think for me, I both wanted and needed a bit more angst. A bit of something different. It's an easy-going kind of trope but one I've seen more times than I can count. And for that reason, I found myself skimming passages just wanting to get to the predictable end.

2.5 stars.

❤~🌟~❤ 4 HOCKYLICIOUS STARS!❤~🌟~❤

I have been an admirer of Sawyer Bennett’s Cold Fury hockey players so when I heard she was launching a brand new spinoff series, Arizona Vengeance, I was CHEERING LIKE A CRAZY FANGIRL! And if this first installment, BISHOP, is any indication, the series is off to a rousing start!

THE STORY:
Star hockey player Bishop Scott recently relocated from New York to Phoenix and is admittedly less than thrilled to be playing for the NHL’s newest expansion team, Arizona Vengeance. So he’s ready to kick back and enjoy his last night of revelry with his hockey buddies before summer training camp starts. However , he never counted on his inner caveman roaring to the surface the moment he set eyes on a sultry brunette beauty named Brooke nursing a drink at the bar. Acting on pure primal instinct, he lays on the charm but before he has a chance to brazenly stake his claim, he hits the jackpot when SHE propositions HIM !

And what a wickedly wanton night it is!!!

But their bubble of bliss bursts into flames the following day when Bishop’s new head coach, David Peron, catches them in the throes of a steamy clinch, and demands to know what in the heck Bishop is doing with his hands on his DAUGHTER?!!”

Knowing WWIII is about to break out, a panic-stricken Brooke, who was just hired as the Arizona Vengeance’s “new assistant director of team services,” saves the day by telling her irate daddy that his new co-captain is her doting fiancé!! Bishop reluctantly agrees to the fake engagement farce to stay in good standing with the coach. And while the situation isn’t ideal, this arrogantly sexy right winger isn’t exactly opposed to the fringe benefits of their arrangement. However, red-hot attraction aside, they both agree that the lovely dovey act is just for show, and that their no strings attached dalliance has a definite shelf life. Of course, RULES ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN…

MY MUSINGS:
BISHOP was one wildly entertaining, faced paced read chock full of captivating romance, thrilling hockey sequences, fun, flirty sparks and sizzling passion galore! I just love Sawyer Bennett’s breezy writing style…her books are impossible to put down and this book is no exception!

Moreover, I can’t resist the fake fiancé trope, and while there isn’t anything really earth shatteringly new here, the way it plays out is a pure delight! One of the main reasons this book clicked so well for me is because of the insanely good character craftsmanship! —the MCs just leap off the page and they were layered with oodles of warmth and charm and charisma!

Both Brooke and Bishop truly endeared themselves to me from page one. The heroine gave up her dream job in NYC to support her father, who is still struggling emotionally after her mom’s death, and I just love her beautiful, kind heart, gentle, easygoing temperament , and saucy inner temptress!

And Bishop? Holy moly! This big, hulking, NHL hottie just revved my engine big-time! He OOZES testosterone and is just so deliciously filthy taking, surprisingly sweet and UNAPOLOGETICALLY ALPHA, and had me swooning like a giddy hockey groupie!

As for the romance…it's OH SO SCINTILLATING! Brooke and Bishop smolder in every scene together and I had a big, goofy smile on my face throughout! Not only are the steamy interludes primally sexy and delectably naughty, but the breathtaking tenderness that flows between this secretly besotted duo as they find themselves falling in love—for real--really tugs at the heartstrings.

And of course, as with every sports romance, the teammates are pivotal to the plot, and the good natured banter between the Vengeance players in the locker room—and the adrenaline pumping action on the rink--is just exhilarating! And throw an evil villainess into the mix to stir up trouble with the guys, and you have one doozy of a story! My only small quibble in an otherwise stellar book was that I found the HEA ending too abrupt and would have LOVED an epilogue to sweeten the deal! But otherwise, I am one happy camper!

BOTTOM LINE:
Sawyer Bennett scores a HUGE GOAL with her first book in the Arizona Vengeance series. Can’t wait for more books with these Kindle-melting Arizona Vengeance players…and yay Erik’s story is next!

A MUST READ!

3.75 stars-- BISHOP is the first instalment in Sawyer Bennett’s contemporary, adult ARIZONA VENGEANCE erotic, hockey, romance series focusing on the men and women of the professional hockey team the Arizona Vengeance. This is twenty-eight year old, Arizona Vengeance co-captain Bishop Scott, and team merchandising director Brooke Perron’s story line. The Arizona Vengeance is a spin-off from the author’s Carolina Cold Fury Hockey series.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Brooke and Bishop) BISHOP follows the fake relationship between Arizona Vengeance co-captain Bishop Scott, and team merchandising director Brooke Perron. The Arizona Vengeance is the NHL’s newest expansion hockey team, and one of their brightest new stars partakes of a one-night stand that quickly develops into something more. Bishop Scott will come face to face with his coach’s daughter, Brooke Perron but getting caught in a compromising position finds Brooke blurting out that she and Bishop were in it for the long haul. What ensues is the fake relationship between Brooke and Bishop, and the potential fall-out as a vindictive woman tries to destroy them all.

Brooke Perron, hoping to save Bishop from her father’s wrath reveals to Coach Perron that she and Bishop had been secretly dating, and were recently engaged to be married. Hoping to keep the ruse up for a little while longer, Brooke and Bishop reveal to a few close friends the truth about the entire situation but betrayal comes at a cost to the Arizona franchise.

The relationship between Brooke and Bishop begins as a one-night stand that quickly morphs into something more-from friendship to the reality of falling in love, Brooke and Bishop find themselves looking towards a future but a future that will hit a road bump when vengeance turns ugly, directed at everyone concerned. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate; the sexual tension is palpable without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

We are introduced to a large number of colorful and animated characters including Brooke’s widowed father and team coach David Perron; Bishop’s mother Marianne; and Brooke’s former co-worker Nanette; as well as the players for the Arizona Vengeance: GM Christian Rutherford, Team captain Tacker Hall, Dax Monahan, Erik Dalhbeck, and Legend Bay.

BISHOP is a flirty, fun but predictable story line that is following a similar pattern to her previous series. The premise is engaging; the romance is hot and steamy; the characters are dynamic and charismatic. BISHOP is an intimate look at two people caught between the truth and a lie that continues to snowball out of control.

I received an advanced reader copy to leave an honest review of this book. I have to say I was highly impressed and really enjoyed this book. I am a huge hockey fan so always love a good hockey romance and Sawyer Bennett did not disappoint! I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series when they come out.

This book follows Bishop, a hot shot hockey star on a newly expanded NHL team, and Brooke, the daughter of Bishop's new coach. Both are new to Phoenix and are out on the town for a little fun and relaxation where the two meet and engage in a one night stand. No numbers or last names are exchanged but imagine both their surprise when they both end up at the hockey arena the next day; Brooke in the front office and Bishop as a hockey player. Some would call it fate until Brooke's father (also Bishop's new coach) catch them in a compromising position in her office. A "little" white lie later and the two are engaged. Fast forward to them being a fake relationship that is quickly becoming real when (of course) someone has to try to ruin it. Enter a narcissistic and slightly sociopathic "friend" from Brooke's past who inserts herself into Brooke's life. Needless to say, this so called friend causes a huge spectacular that puts a lot of guilt on Brooke. Can Bishop convince her it isn't her fault and keep her in Phoenix? Or will Brooke run scared?

Book is very well written with a great plotline. I really enjoyed both Bishop and Brooke's personalities; neither was off putting as a main character. I also enjoyed how the author involved the secondary characters that you know will become the main character in the next book. Really gets you hyped for the next read which I cannot wait for.

4 Steamy CROWNS

Sawyer Bennett writes it all: contemporary romance, sports romance, suspense romance, etc. No matter what she writes, you know what is always the same?  How freaking HOT it is always is.  I can always count her to deliver a fun read and that steamy, especially when it comes to her hockey players.

Bishop Scott is the perfect athletic hero. Stamina for days. Killer body. Heart of Gold. Treats his lady right.  Sounds like perfection, right? He kind of is. Where your traditional hero would make some errors with the heroine or even the antagonist of the story, Bishop doesn't. He is kind of the dream.

Brooke is a lovely heroine. At times she is a bit a pushover, forgiving easily and wanting to believe the best in people, which isn't necessarily a bad attribute to have. This characteristic doesn't come into play for the hero and heroine, but it does open the door to the conflicts of the story.

The chemistry between these two in the bedroom is smoking, but I wouldn't expect anything less from Sawyer Bennett. I also enjoyed Bishop's and Brooke's dynamic outside of the bedroom as well. It seemed authentic and genuine, and readers will feel that they really do like each other. The conflict is alluded to withing the story and not really unexpected, but I have conflicting feelings about the resolution. While it was handled with the maturity of adults, it is resolved very quickly, making the pacing of the falling action and resolution to be very fast. I would have liked to be drawn out a bit more, something worthy of the build up and explosion of the climax.

Overall, I really enjoyed the new spin-off series from Sawyer Bennett.  It is steamy and fun, and readers are introduced to a whole new world of hockey players. I am already needing more stories for Dax, Erik, and Tacker, so I hope Sawyer Bennett is busy writing. She has me hook, line, and sinker.

How often does a one night stand turn into something more? Bishop never thought the amazing night he had with Brooke would be something he could relive again and again. Seeing her the next day he begins training he cannot believe he gets so see here again. Finding out who she really is will leave him absolutely speechless. Taking their relationship to the next level based on a little white lie left him unsure on how long this little charade has to last. Brooke only wanted to save Bishop from her father’s wrath but ended up falling in love with him. Absolutely love this new series from Sawyer Bennett!

You’ll need to have a fan close by when reading Bishop, because it is scorching hot! Sawyer Bennett launches her new hockey series, Arizona Vengeance, with this highly entertaining, sexy and feel-good romance in which a one night stand turns into a fake engagement and then...so much more. Bishop and Brooke have amazing chemistry and a fun dynamic, and they are magic together. They are both new to Arizona and finding their footing, so it is nice that they are a similar stage in their lives. I consider Sawyer Bennett one of the queens of hockey romance, and Bishop reminds me why. I am incredibly excited about this series!

Bishop is the first book in the new series, Arizona Vengeance, written by Sawyer Bennett. Bishop can be considered a spin off of the Cold Fury Series, but you don't have to read that series first to enjoy this series. Let me start by saying that I am thrilled Ms. Bennett is writing a new hockey series. I have read the books in the Cold Fury Series and have loved every one of them. Bishop is a great start to this new series.
Bishop is a seasoned, professional hockey player who was traded to the expansion team, Arizona Vengeance. He is not very excited about the trade to Arizona, so when he gets to town he decides he needs to spice things up a bit with one night of no holds barred sex. Meet Brooke, who has recently moved to Arizona so she could be with her father. Brooke is a strong, to nice for her own good, down to earth woman that I immediately connected with. Their one night stand is super hot, the sexual chemistry between Bishop and Brooke is totally explosive but, that's all it's supposed to be, a one night, nothing more. Well, what fun would that be? Ms. Bennett takes us on a wild ride that includes not only a super sweet, sexy story about Bishop and Brooke, with a bit of angst thrown in to keep the reader on edge. She also includes one bat shit crazy roommate and lots of sexy hockey players that will melt your heart and get you all hot and bothered at the same time. The characters are well developed and the story is fast paced and well written. Sawyer Bennett knows how to rock hockey. This book was an excellent start to this series and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
***Disclaimer *** I received an ARC copy of this book from #NetGalley and the publisher/author with the intent that I voluntarily write an unbiased, unsolicited review. I was not contacted, asked or required to leave a review in order to read this book. I received no compensation, financial or otherwise. This is my honest review.***

This is going to be a great series. Bishop and Brooke Started off hot and heavy with a one night stand. But the next day was filled with a surprise of a lifetime for both of them. Their relationship was unorthodox but fun to watch unfold. They were a great couple to start the series with. Erik, Dax, and Tacker were great additions to the story and am hopeful they will get their own HEA. Sawyer Bennett knows how to write the perfect combination of heat and sweet!

Bishop is a good start to Bennett's new hockey series. The book is a fun read about finding love while painting yourselves into a corner with lies.

I liked the character of Bishop and his love interest Brooke, too. I felt like they were well matched and both deserved to find love in each other.

The secondary characters are likable as well and I look forward to their books. I will say I found the ridiculous names many of the secondary characters had distracting. We all have one friend who ended up with a stupid name, but multiple friends with stupid names? Not usually.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Sports or Contemporary Romance.
