This was a very enjoyable story. That although a little hard to get into, soon caught my attention and then really pulled me in. As there was a great mix of heat, angst and sweetness. Not to mention plenty of characters to love and even a few to loath. And I was really engaged throughout and particularly enjoyed how feisty and fierce Bobbie was. Especially when it came to protecting her son Austin from his dead beat dad Jeremy.

And as this is the first book I've read in the series, I have to say I never once felt lost or confused. But I would certainly go back and read the others and I would recommend this story.

There were definitely some cute scenes and great funny bits. Seth and the son was all the feels but I felt like I was reading a bunch of great scenes but it didn't work for me as a whole story. It also took almost too long for me to warm up to the story. I can see a lot of readers enjoying this story despite my feelings of disconnect toward the book as a whole.

I would like to thank Entangled Publishing, LLC (Amara) and Netgalley for providing me with an ARC.

Goodreads: "For single mom Bobbie Jo Weston, finding a husband is not on her to-do list. She's focused on turning a run-down chicken farm into a Bed & Breakfast. She agrees to let a friend’s nephew stay with her in exchange for his handyman skills, but she wasn’t counting on the super sexy Seth Landry being that guy.

Seth has a special skill-set, all right, but it has nothing to do with hammering nails. As a retired member of The Resistance—an elite group of ex-military soldiers—his dark, unsettling past haunts him. He needs a place to lay low, and an out-of-the-way B&B is nothing short of perfect. The blonde beauty doesn’t trust men, and he doesn't plan on sticking around long enough to change her mind.

The closer they get, the more they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. And while Bobbie holds on to her fear of watching another man walk out of their lives, Seth's mere presence has put them all in jeopardy. The only way to ever be free of his dangerous past is for him to accept one last mission..."

If you are in the mood for small town romances look no further than the Tangled in Texas Series. I very much enjoyed the two previous installments, but this Bobbie Jo's story needed to be told and unfolded beautifully. This novel can be read as a complete standalone, but some of the characters featured got together in Rules of Protection and Playing with Fire. Both were also amazing, so I recommend marathoning all three.

Continue reading for my broken down review...

Characters: Bobbie Jo Weston and Seth Landry: My perceptions of Bobbie Jo came from previous character's POVs in the other books and I was not in love with her by any means. Now that I've been in her head I absolutely adore her. Seth is Native American and stands out from the boys of the previous novels. Seth was a great male love interest.
World/Setting: Liberty, Texas: Small town is too big to describe Liberty, Texas. I loved the setting as it was introduced in the previous novel, from the farmland to the pond. This story is spent in Bobbie Jo's home which is being renovated into a B&B and that is one setting trope I always eat up.
Pacing: Really good pacing. I never felt like it dragged. At my reading speed, I finished it in a day or two. It was a similar speed for the other ones so they would be a great long weekend marathon.
Romance (yay or nay?): The romance was wonderful. Bobbie Jo is one of those characters you read about that really deserves strong devotion from their love interest. Seth delivered on this and then some. The entire series played with the idea that love requires sacrifice, Alison Bliss explored this concept so well in all of the Tangled in Texas novels.

So of course Law of Attraction clocks in at 5/5 stars

This was a cute, but sexy book. I liked Bobbie and Seth together and really felt the chemistry between them even though we only got Bobbie's POV. Sometimes kids can be annoying in books, but I really like what Austin brought to the story. There were times when Bobbie got annoying, but overall, I enjoyed this book. The author was able to convey Seth's feelings though Bobbie's POV and that's not easy to do. Definitely recommend!

Law of Attraction by Alison Bliss is the third book in the Tangled in Texas series. The story is about how hard it is for the two main characters to fight the chemistry between them.

Bobbie Jo is a single mother and has given up on romance. She loves her son and works hard to provide the best she can for him. She is loving, independent, sassy, stubborn, and smart. Seth is a mysterious stranger who wants to forget his past and drift through life moving from place to place. He is cocky, physically fit, and good with his hands.

She buys an old run down farm with the hopes of repairing it and turning it into a bed & breakfast. She quickly realizes this might be a bigger task than she can tackle on her own. Her and Seth strike up a deal. He’ll work on repairing things around the farm and she’ll give him a place to stay over the summer. He is the nephew of her well meaning boss so she at least knows he’s not dangerous. Bobbie Jo and Seth share a strong chemistry, they’re both constantly fighting it. With all the trouble her son's father brings, her job, working on the farm, and being a loving and attentive mom she doesn’t think she has much left for anything else.

I really liked how much depth the characters have, they’re more than one dimensional beings. Bobbie Jo tries so hard to be a successful business person, but she doesn’t want a hand out she wants to work for it. The people around her love her so much and are very protective of her but her need for independence fights them at every turn. Her sassiness is fierce and one of the things about her I fell in love with most. Seth fights so hard to not talk about his past but in doing so it makes it even harder for him to move on. They fight their feelings for so long the angst is palpable. That’s what truly pulled me in, I will forever go weak in the knees for all the angsty goodness and it is aplenty in this story. The passion between Seth and Bobbie Jo lights the pages on fire. Every innocent touch makes the burning need for more grow stronger. Can they fight their feelings forever, what happens when the heat grows too hot? The pacing is great, the story unravels in a way that keeps the mystery alive. While giving us a little at a time it gets us hooked and wanting more. I would recommend to anyone interested in an angsty romance filled with passion and heartfelt moments.

Great story!! Law of Attraction has lots of funny scenes and I loved the way the hero interacted with the heroine's child. The romance was sweet. Looking forward to the next book.

This is the third book in The Tangled in Texas series by Allison Bliss. I have not read the first two but this is easily read as a stand alone.
It is the story of Bobbie Jo, a single mom to four-year-old Austin, and Seth, an ex-mercenary, looking to find his place back home.
Bobbie Jo and Seth start out looking to relieve sexual tension but things progress from there.
This is definitely a five star read.

What a great series!!! I have devoured the previous two books in the Tangled in Texas series and I am thrilled to say that Law of Attraction is just as addictively amazing as the others!

Bobbie Jo is a hard working, devoted mother to an adorable 4 year old boy. Unfortunately, his biological father wasn’t a lasting relationship, so she’s basically been doing everything on her own since he was born. Her dream is to run a Bed and Breakfast and she is excited that it is starting to come to fruition! Taking the first step by purchasing a old farm was a major step, but it needs a lot of work...A LOT! Luckily for Bobbie Jo, a friends gets her in touch with the very handsome Seth Landry. Seth is looking to stay at the farm while he’s in town and as payment he will work on fixing up the farm. Well that was the exact point in this book that I became 100% glued to my kindle! Wow!

I was so flipping excited to finally get Bobbie Jo’s story and I loved what Alison Bliss had in mind for her! Law of Attraction is well paced novel - I didn’t want it to end! The characters are so endearing and relatable. Law of Attraction is a 4.5 star read that I highly recommend to all romance fans- you will not be disappointed! I cannot wait to read whatever Alison Bliss comes out with next!

This was my first read by this author and it was so worth the chance! The story was well written and flowed smoothly. I didn't realize this was part of series but the side characters were introduced in a way that I could identify the background and their importance to Bobbie. Bobbie, Seth, and Austin were well developed and their story sucked me right in. I did, however, want to reach through the pages and strangle the ex Jeremy but let that be a compliment to Ms. Bliss! The ending was a tad rushed but satisfying. I will definitely go back and read the author's other work!

This is one of those books that I just can't decide how I felt about it. I liked the premise as it's normally a favourite troupe for me I just really struggled to find any connection with the main characters.

I liked Bobby Jo in the first two books so was intrigued to see her get her HEA. She's a strong women to go through the dramas with the ex and try and get something more for herself and her son Austin. They have a great relationship and I think all the scenes with Austin were definitely my favourite.

Seth I struggled with a little at the beginning as he seemed liked a good guy then he'd be abit too cocky and it came across as arrogance for me so I kinda didn't like him. I warmed to him as we got further into the book and again I loved all the scenes with Austin. He really stole the show at times but I do tend to find that when reading these types of stories. The kids always get the cutest lines.

I think when they weren't fighting the attraction they had really good chemistry, they were good fun when they were both pushing in the right direction. It's an interesting story and I think as long as you enjoyed the first two books you should definitely give his one a go.

Law of Attraction is the third book in the Tangled in Texas series, but it can be read as a standalone book.

I have read books from other series by Alison Bliss before and enjoyed them very much. However, I couldn't connect with the characters, plot, or story-telling style in this one.

I did like the relationship between Bobbie and her son Austin, and Seth and Austin together were adorable! Those relationships were my favorite part of the book.

I’m so glad that Bobbie Jo finally got her HEA. I’ve liked this spunky mom from the very beginning. Throw in her amazing momma bear ways along with the hot drifter Seth, it was a good story with these two. Ugh, her ex is a total jackhole and I loved how Seth treated her son, it was really cute. Another book with great characters and great writing. I really enjoyed this one!

Looking for a single parent romance then look no further. This book has that sexual tension with an alpha male that you will love. Bobbie Jo is a strong and independent single mom. I love how she takes on the old chicken farm and follow her dream to run a B & B. Her son is beyond adorable and of course how can you not love her trip of friends that are always there for her. Bobbie Jo is stubborn when asking for help and I admire her for it. Once Seth hits the scene you just sit back and wait for those fireworks. I love how he takes Austin (Bobbie Jo's son) under his wings from the start. He is a tough Alpha that is a mystery to be solved. And it is yummy and lovely how Bobbie Jo handles Seth's former life. I love the connection between them all. If you've read the Tangle in Texas series then you're familiar with the trouble that follows the gang. If you haven't don't worry this one can be read on it's own without getting you lost at all. I love this series. You just get the right amount of sexy time romance, action and heart throughout these books.

Law of Attraction,  Alison Bliss

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Romance

I hadn't read books one and two, didn't realise that these books were connected. Each are stand alone though, but maybe if I'd read them I'd have got more out of this one.
I liked it but it was a story that gripped me, and the part where Seth's past becomes Bobbie Jo's present just seemed a little weird. Then she gives him an ultimatum, and yet quickly changes her mind. It was a bit like that all the way through though. “No Seth, we can't....” and then its clothes off and frantic sex.
Austin was cute, did make me smile with his questions, and the secondary characters, those from earlier books, were great friends to Bobbie Jo. I so wish I had a Seth, not just for his body, but for his DIY skills! That man seemed able to mend, make, replace just about anything.

Overall though it was just an OK read for me, I enjoyed it but didn't have that magic sparkle that makes me can't-stop-reading. You know, when you just can't put a book down, just have to read one more chapter. As always though I can see others love this so its all horses for courses and what I didn't like could be what makes it perfect for you.

Stars: Three, a decent read but not a re-reader for me.

This is the third book in the Tangled in Texas series and it can be read as a stand-alone [I haven't read book 1 and 2 yet either for example]. I was lucky enough to receive an e-arc in exchange for writing an honest review.
---
This is a story about a single mom who works her but off and tries to give her son a peaceful upbringing and trying to make him as happy as can be. She's trying to overcome hurdles you'd come to expect in certain situations [like her son's biological father being a first-class Ahole] and I think the author did a great job at writing this story since there is definitely some moments present that surprised me, whereas story-lines like these normally are quite predictable. It was the characters, Bobbie Jo in particular, that made quite a positive impression on me. There was a palpable angst throughout the whole book, while it also remained light-hearted at times, humoristic and extremely sexy.

I loved Bobbie's feistiness and her momma-bear-protective streak. I loved the balanced out character the author shows us in Bobbie. She's a great mom but I also love that she's willing to think about herself as well every now and then. She's strong and isn't scared to fight for what she wants and the people she loves <- so much respect for her!

And then there's Seth, a sexy alpha male, who's always there for Bobbie in the short time he's been living in her house [I had NO trouble whatsoever loving his character hehe] He's great with Austin, her son, and I love how fast these three characters seemed to be forming a little family on their own. It was adorable! I was just as enamored with Seth as Bobbie was and just as curious to find out more about his past. There's this palpable feeling hanging around Seth, that just lures you in. And I know he's fictional and all, but I could so easily lose myself in this story and connect with Seth *happy sigh*

The chemistry between Bobbie and Seth is off the charts and it only gets hotter when the story progresses, prrr. I loved the sexual and emotional build-up in their developing romance. I really loved how well developed the emotional part of their 'relationship' becomes.

Aside from the romance and the 'family' feels, there's enough angst woven throughout the book that had me glued to the pages from beginning till end. There's the Ahole of a biological father of Austin and then there are things going on revolving Seth's past catching up with him. Not all of the trouble in this story was necessary though, I think because it feels like some things couldn't develop well enough story-wise. In my opinion, it would've been better if not both main characters had trouble chasing them, that had to be fixed.

Alison Bliss has a great way of writing I think. It made me feel connected with the characters right from the start and like I said before, I was glued to the pages from the beginning 'till the end. And even though it's written only in 1 pov, whereas I normally prefer reading from 2 pov's, I still think all of the characters are really well developed. To me personally, it would've been more perfect if we'd had a chance to read Seth's pov as well. I was often wondering what his thoughts would be in specific moments and especially during the more angst-ridden scenes, I would've loved reading how he'd experienced it all. Not necessarily because I felt like things are missing, but more out of curiosity for his character, since I really liked him a lot.

After finishing this book, I'm really excited to read the prior 2 books as well.
I was intrigued by the minor characters and want to know more about them and their story, so they're now on my wishlist and I hope I can get around to buy and read them soon! This author was new to me and I'm glad I got to read one of her books. I love coming across new authors and I especially love it when their books are such fun reads! This is definitely a series you should give a go when you're into romance reads with some angst and drama, humor, a hot steamy and well-developed romance and just overall addictive writing.

I loved this book! I'm just twitching with how much I enjoyed the electric chemistry between the leads, the moderate dollop of suspense, and the author's clever storytelling. I'll try to organize my thoughts enough to write this review.

First, Seth. Oh my heavens, Seth. This man is grade-A book boyfriend material: strong, fearless, handsome, hung, good with tools, kind to animals, sweet to kids. On top of all that, he does sexy banter like a champ. Seth will absolutely melt your ereader!

Bobbie Jo was a secondary character in books 1 and 2, so I was excited to see her get her own story. I was not disappointed! Bobbie Jo is a sweet, small town girl and devoted single mom. Her little guy, Austin, is 4 years old and the cause of probably half the great laughs in the book. Love that little guy.

This book is why reading romance is so addicting: dimensional characters you feel like you know, a story that wraps you up and takes you on a ride, a sexy hero with a good heart and all kinds of skills, and a strong and capable heroine. Absolutely recommended!

Bobbie is a single mom and currently focused on turning her run down chicken farm into a B&B. She completed a lot of the renovations before the funds ran out. And now she is stuck with a half completed house, no means to finish it. When her employer offers her a perfect solution. His nephew, Seth needs a place to stay for the summer and in exchange for staying at Bobbie’s house, he will complete the repairs.
The attraction between Bobbie and Seth is instant but Seth is in town for just the summer and Bobbie is not interested in watching another man walk out of her life.
Law of attraction is a very well written book that has everything one can want in a book. There is humor, hot chemistry and heart string pulling moments. And little Austin was just adorable. I will happily recommend this book.
