This is a beautifully crafted story that takes our hero and heroine on quite a journey.

The characters are beautifully crafted. and I totally fell in love with both Cassie and Jake, .The story starts in the lovely city of Bath and moves onto the beautiful setting of San Remo in Italy.

This book for me was a fabulous summer read. and has the perfect balance of humour and mystery..

I look forward to the next book by this author.

Absolutely perfect summer read. Light and fun. Perfect to sit by the pool, sip an adult beverage and enjoy. Thank you netgalley and publisher for this arc in exchange of an honest review. I enjoyed it!

Cassie Travers had built her concierge service up from the ground. She and Benita were doing well until an unscrupulous male stole their money, leaving Cassie struggling to make ends meet. So when a lucrative commission came along, albeit one she was a little suspicious about, the money was enough for her to continue with it. But when she saw who her partner was to be in this little venture, she was totally shocked, and angry. The one person she never wanted to see again – Jake McQuire – was back in Bath…

Jake had been Cassie’s boyfriend when she was seventeen – but he left her to join his father in the states and didn’t reply to her letters or contact her in any way. She was not going to go there with him again. But within days, the French Riviera beckoned – Cassie needed to follow the clues and she needed to go with Jake. It was business only – wasn’t it?

Would she find the answers to the mystery she needed to solve? And would Cassie ever see the money that was stolen? What about her feelings for Jake?

Summer in San Remo is the second I have read by Evonne Wareham, and the first in the Riviera Rogues series, and once again, this was an enjoyable novel. The beauty of the French Riviera, the magnificence of the villas, the markets, the friendly Italians – all made me wish I could visit. But Cassie was annoying! She drove me nuts with her argumentative nature and constant snappiness – but maybe that was the author’s intention 😊 Recommended.

With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my digital ARC to read and review.

How far would you go to get The girl. Cassie and her friend run a concierge service. Need tickets for the theater? They're your girls. Their business in a financial bind. Cassie needs a husband, but for only a short time. Just long enough to fulfill a contract and make some money. She calls a detective agency to see if she could get someone to pose as her husband - anyone but Jake who broke her heart when she was a teenager. Too bad the only one available was Jake. Cassie and Jake agree to work together as there is no choice. There's also something very suspicious about being offered so much money for a simple job. A little investigating is called for.so Cassie was glad Jake was there. The case takes them to the beautiful San Remo in Italy. Old passions flare up, things are not at all what the seem. There's a mystery that needs to be solved. The description of Italy wowed me. I loved this book. It was interesting and we'll written. Plenty of steam between Cassie and Jake.. I received this book from Net Galley. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy . All thoughts and opinions are my own.
