I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I had a hard time personally getting into this book, however, it is perfect to take for poolside or beach reading on vacation.

I have read the others in the series and indeed most of Holly's books and this was another winner for me. From sexy Jamie to the mishaps they had and the fact that it seemed unlikely they would get it together, I loved it all.

After having read a few other Holly Martin books, I have discovered that her writing style and books are not for me unfortunately.

I was so pleased after reading the first book in this series that there were going to be another two to read! Melody being the main character in this one, following the progress of Tori and Isla along the way. I loved this book as much as the first one and didn't take me long to finish it. I love all of the characters and how it picks up where the last book left off. The next book finishing with Isla being the main story and I can't wait to read how Melody and Jamie are getting on, and if Tori and Aiden get married and have their baby in the next book. I think I know how Isla and Leo's story will end, but I can't wait to read about it!
Thank you once again for accepting my request for one of my favourite authors.

I realised a few chapters in that I had already read this book but also realised I didn’t care so just read it again! Melody Rosewood lives in Sandcastle Bay, which from the pictures Holly Martin paints in my imagination is absolutely beautiful and idyllic. We got to catch up with Aidan and Tori who featured in Book 1 (although you don’t have to read these in order), as well as seeing Leo and Isla, all characters that appear in the other books.

Jamie Jackson is the lead on the other side of this story and is a sculptor. Having already read about Jamie it was great to get the take with him as well as Melody this time around. There are literally so many things to love about this book, as well as all of the others I have read of hers. Holly Martin rarely fails to deliver a 5 star read for me. Some may say that these ‘happy ever after’ books are everywhere, however rarely are they delivered with as much style as Holly Martin!

I literally know I am guaranteed a good read if it’s written by her and all of her books have the ability to make you smile. She also has a very rare knack of creating peoples perfect destinations within her pages. I literally would be booking a holiday there every year if I could! I absolutely adored this book and think all of her books are guaranteed to transport you to a happy place

Another trip to Sandcastle Bay and a visit with friends I met in The Holiday Cottage by the Sea. Again I listened to this one and enjoyed it just as much as the first one in the series. The narrator, Penny Andrews made me feel like I was right in the middle of the story, watching and listening.

This story has Melody Rosewood as the main female character and Jamie Jackson as the male lead in this charming romance. Melody moved to Sandcastle Bay after the death of her brother to help take care of her nephew. She never expected to meet a man who made her want to spend her life with him. Melody has always been a bit of a klutz and has caused many relationships to spiral into disaster. Her mother did not help matters any either. As an artist who makes jewellery, she opened her own store in Sandcastle Bay and is quite happy. Jamie is also a talented artist, but he is a sculptor. He is also handsome, funny, cheeky, sweet, lustful, loving and sweet. As these two artists tentatively begin dating, they are very cautious as they discover each other. The residents are more than happy to get involved in their life and romance to push these two together. Once again, Holly Martin has included many puppies and their actions are hilarious. Their obedience class is a hoot and you know they are going to be a fun addition to the stories.

This is the second story in the trilogy, but you don't have to read the first one in order to enjoy this story, but have to say that both stories are wonderful and I recommend reading them both! For anyone who has already read the first story in the series, this story gives you the opportunity to catch up with Aidan and Tori. Holly Martin describes events so well she brings them vividly to life; the close knit community and the fun and eccentric characters. Once again, Elliot captured my heart with his cute magic shows and his habit of saying things others would wish were left unsaid. So much humour in this story due to Melody's mishaps had me laughing and smiling along with her. I was so glad that Jamie had a great sense of humour and was able to laugh with Melody, not at her. A great addition to the series and I am so looking forward to Isla's story. I definitely recommend this one, especially if you love romance, beach town settings and a fun story.

Holly Martin has done it again and pulled another stunner out of the bag.

I was so excited to return to Sandcastle Bay and catch up with the gang. This story focuses on Melody and Jamie's love story. Both of them have liked each other for years but for one reason or another, neither of them have been brave enough to admit their feelings. But all that is about to change....

There are some really gems in this book  as it is filled with hilarious moments, heart-warming scenes and  brilliant one liners. This book was a joy to read and gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

While this is set in a slightly warmer season, this is a book that make you laugh, love and just want to sit down and turn every page. If you want a treat, then look no further.

Holly Martin has been one of my go-to authors for a quick feel-good romance over the last few years, and this book was no exception. The story was super sweet, and I loved the setting. Melody and Jamie weren't my favorite characters that Holly Martin has created (I like Tori and Aidan from the first book in this trilogy better), but I still really enjoyed this book. I can't wait to read the last book in this trilogy (though all the books also work as stand-alone novels) because I really like Isla and Leo.

This was my first Holly Martin book, and my only issue was that I wish I'd read the first book in the series prior to this one. Even not having read the first book, this one was still very enjoyable. The setting was fantastic, and the story was utterly charming. I had a bit of trouble keeping track of characters, but I blame that on reading the second book first. I will definitely be looking for more from Martin.

This modern fictional story was ok. It's the second in the Sandcastle Bay series. I think I definitely should have read the first one "The Holiday Cottage By The Sea" . I found that there were quite a lot of characters to remember. I normally love this author's books however I thought the storyline similar to others she has written.

Well what can I say Holly has done it again. An amazing read which I could not put down.
Holly Martin has a way with words. She creates the most amazing settings that really do come to life as you read and her characters feel like your best friends.

This was a feel good, warm romantic book where there was minimal angst and no major twists.

My second book by Holly Martin, showed me how easy love was, both falling and being. It showed the parts where life was beautiful and loving, sunshine and flowers, spring and blossoms in their lives. This book had Melody and Jamie coming together. Their attraction was palpable in the first book. And this book tipped them both over in love.

Aunt Agatha was as outrageous as ever. The rest of the characters were loving. The book recaptured the gooey feelings that one got in love. It showed me that sometimes life was beautiful even if it was in the pages of a book.

My niggle, if you could call it that, everyone was beautiful and loving and in love and happy. It just needed other emotions to make it flavorful. But sometimes, this is the right book to lighten a heavy heart. Easily read in 2 hours. Enjoyable!!

Because I wasn't able to make it to the beach for vacation this year, I decided to take this book along with me for a weekend getaway. I loved it! It was the perfect mix of lighthearted fun and romance. Great summer read!

I absolutely love Holly Martin’s books, although I have said in my previous reviews that all of her books are pretty much carbon copies of each other, with names and places interchanged. That said, I love her writing style and the easy romance within her stories is really appealing, the characters are always likeable, and the girl always gets the happy ending. What more could you want in a chick-lit romance novel? Each of the books are vaguely connected to the other books in the series, but not so much that you can’t read them on their own. I’d highly recommend Holly Martin if you need some relaxed holiday reads.

***I received an e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley.***

I enjoyed The Cottage on Sunshine Beach, by Holly Martin. It was a light, summery friends-to-lovers story. Melody, a jewelry designer, has always been attracted to her friend Jamie, but she’s afraid to risk their friendship. She finally finds the courage to ask him out and they decide to take a chance on romance. A series of disastrous dates has them both doubting themselves. Melody is a klutz, and Jamie is afraid of rejection. Will they be able to lay their fears aside and make this relationship work?

Jamie and Melody were cute together, and they definitely had chemistry. They had a tiny bit of a past which I thought was used really well to make them unsure about what was between them. Their dogs added more cuteness and lightness to the plot, as did the beachside setting. There’s a whole cast of characters that will be familiar to those who’ve read other books by Martin. This was my first one, but I had no trouble reading it as a standalone.

I wish Melody’s clumsiness wasn’t so in the forefront of the plot. It’s an overused device here and in general for me; I’m struggling to think of a book where the male MC is written that way. Jamie was spurned once in the past and now thinks he’s crap at relationships—also an overused device here and in general. It wasn’t that it made the story less enjoyable per se, but it did keep from loving them. I don’t mind a little self-doubt, but a little goes a long way. I also wasn’t thrilled about the pressure “Agatha” put on our couple, or the town for that matter. Talk about dating in a fishing bowl! Though I admit small towns can be like that. I just felt bad for the 2 of them.

My complaints aside, this story had lots of laughs, some romance, some swoons, a whole lot of sweetness and really likeable characters. If you’re looking for a light read, this one fits the bill!
