Excellent book, very well written, and I finished it in one sitting. The ending I didn't see coming, and can't wait for the next one in the series. Recommended.

This is the second book in a series. I have not read the first one as of yet, so I was in a way lost here, especially in the beginning. I don't think I'll be reading the first, or any others in this series as they come out. This story was very well-written so my problem didn't lay there. I just wasn't a fan of the subject matter, it didn't appeal to my taste. So, I rating this one based on the writing alone, not my actual enjoyment of the story.
