"The present was awash with coincidences and voices from the past whispering sugary haunted nothings"

Despite the intriguing premise and some beautiful quotes, something about the writing didn't work for me. While I really wanted to love this book something about it didn't click.

"No blood, no severed limbs; everything missing and nothing left"

This was a quick and somewhat enjoyable read. The pacing and flow could have been better but overall it was a reasonably successful coming of age story.

So this book is about three boys. three boys go into a body of water and only two came out.
This book was enjoyable but certainly slow in the beginning.

Cute story but it moved kind of slowly.....I almost didn't finish it but I did because I wanted to read the end. It's a good story but also somewhat confusing. A little too much long-winded dialogue. I didn't hate it but I could definitely use some work. Good coming of age story that shows how important friendship is.

I want to say that this was a beautiful book but something about it absolutely didn't work for me. It doesn't flow. It's confusing...like the entire time. It has its moments that literally take your breath away - especially the poetry, and lyrical descriptions. But the action, timing and loads of dialogue feel all over the place.

I think this is a good story that could use another edit.

I had Some trouble liking this book in the beginning; it was a little too vague for my liking and there was so much unnecessary information to plow through. The plot was there; but it was well hidden and only became clear to me in the ending. Which was nice! The ending was amazing. When it finally became clear what was going on, I couldn’t put it down and I had to finish it. The characters were built wonderfully, I fell in love with Moony.

A novel about friendship, guilt and memories. We follow Kiran, and adult who suffered a trauma in high school that tarnished everything he did after. The story alternates between what happened and Kiran trying to remember and deal with the memories. I really enjoyed the way the story was woven.
