An interesting start to a new series. This book is written from 2 points of view, which really helps you understand the characters motivations. It’s a fun story, set in rural Montana, with very likeable characters.

What a fun book! I had never heard of this author before but I'm so glad that I had the chance to read it. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Melody had finally met her prince. She is not who she appears to be and is taking one day at a time to reclaim her life and remain safe. Meeting her cowboy Justin made her finally feel she had more to life than work. Being offered an opportunity she provided guidance and slowly changed his world. When Mustin finally finds out the truth she’s been hiding for so long will he stay by her side or say goodbye? Great story and being brave to take that tentative step forward when life is a challenge.

Really good start to a new series. I enjoyed this book and while it was a little slow at times overall it was a super read as a huge romance fan who loves to read mills and boons books I was surprised that this was my first read from Trish and I cannot wait to try more. This was a well written enjoyable read with wonderful characters that you cannot help but like I am looking forward to the rest of the series

Melody is in the witness protection program and starting her life over in rural Montana. She is working in Justin's resort as a housekeeper. As her employer, he knows there is a line he can not cross no matter how strong the attraction. Justin has had a problem with being like more for his money than for who he is as a person. She lives her life looking over her shoulder just waiting to be discovered and have to move and start all over again. They both have reasons to avoid romantic relationships, but sometimes the heart knows best. Good read.

I just started to get into the more cowboy/western romance novels. I blame recently moving to Texas for that. This book was a good one. Definitely a good start in getting more into that sub genre of romance novels.

I felt this was a story about personal development and the journey Melody to understand who she is without a major part of the what has defined her as a person for most of her life.

I liked the development of Melody and of the relationship with Justin was good but i felt that there were a number of unlikely events that moved the story along and could have been grounded better. I also felt that the end was rather unrealistic (in timescale if nothing else).

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I just love Trish Milburn's work. I have all of her work on Harlequin. Ms. Milburn always delivers quality stories to her readers. This story is another great read. I just loved the premise of WITSEC especially for a victim. The story is written in a dual POVs. This allows the reader to get into Melody's head to understand her reasons for being cautious and slightly standoffishness (is that a word?) I just hated to put this book down. I was glued from the beginning. The only disappointment, the ENDING!!! It came way too soon. The book could have kept on going and going. If you love cowboy type of romance, then you have to pick this up.

I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
The characters + storytelling were very captivating
Melody is trying to keep a low profile,
An attempt on your life will do that to a person.
Justin is intrigued by Melody.
When he asked for her help, he is impressed by her creativity.
As they get to spend more time together, their attraction for each other grow as well.
Now, what are they going to do about it ?
I loved the storytelling + the characters
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Sweet and enjoyable romantic suspense. Following events that occurred prior to the beginning of the book Melody, a former pharmaceutical CEO, is working as a cleaner at a holiday resort in Montana following her entry of WITSEC. She meets cowboy and company CEO Jordan, the fall in love and several pitfalls relating to her past rear their heads before they reach an HEA. It focussed more on the romantic than the suspense in my opinion, but this doesn't take away from how enjoyable and well written it was.

It was sweet and it looks as though this the first in a trilogy with Jordan's brothers being the heroes of the remaining books.

Recommended.

The perfect winter/christmas romance novel. It gets you in the mood for cosy nights, christmas and love. I loved every page of this book. It felt a bit out of season to read it in the sunshine in the middle of the summer but I added this to be re-read in the colder season.
The characters are well rounded and believable...is the story a bit far fetched...yes of course but if the chemistry is literally jumping off every page its so worth reading and re-reading it.
I am taking 1 star away for the title, it just doesn't suit the story. I can't see the Prince reference being mirrored anywhere in the book where the location is defo screaming cowboys.
I'm hoping to read more about the McQueen boys in the near future.

Eh...this book was just okay for me. At times it was slow and predictable. I would have loved to read more flashbacks to the actual event that put all of this into motion. I loved reading about Justin's family; hoping to see some books in the future about the brothers.

The suspense is killer when it comes to Justin and Melody. She's a woman of mystery that keeps her secrets close and her heart under wraps. He's a man with a plan intrigued by the woman whose erected an invisible shield. Their connection is intense. Can he convince her to let down her guard and give in to the power of love? Her Cowboy Prince is a tale of shattered trust that begins with the ultimate betrayal and reveals the healing power of falling in love.

Melody's whole life changed when she went into witness protection. Testifying at her stepmother's trial changed her entire life.

From pharmaceutical company owner to a housekeeper at a resort. Meeting the owner of the resort, Melody helpos Justin by planning the resort's Christmas extravaganza.

Family. Romance. Christmas. A touch of drama. How can you go wrong?

I liked and enjoyed Her Cowboy Prince for what it is… a good romance, a bit of a slow burn with likable, mostly believable characters. The cover description blurb pretty much tells you all you need to know to dive into this story. Melody once had a far different life, right up until she was almost killed and her step- mother and step-sister did kill her father. After testifying against her step-mother, Melody went into the Witness Protection Program and into a life that might have been safer but would always come with a constant look over her shoulders and secrets she could never tell.

Melody is currently working in Housekeeping at a resort where she ends up sharing event ideas with the resort owner. A temporary change of jobs, some fun planning events… and the possibility of a romance with the perfect man for her might come at a cost. When you love someone, you do not keep secrets from them, and right now Melody’s entire life, or past life, is one huge secret.

I enjoyed Melody and Justin’s romance and would recommend it – yet, I really wish there had been more about Melody’s backstory incorporated into this romance. I read the story I’m given and have no rights to ask for something different — I simply feel that would have cemented my support, understanding and liking of Melody a bit more. Nonetheless, Her Cowboy Prince is an engaging story with likable characters. The next story is due out in September, so I’ll be keeping an eye out for A Cowboy’s Kiss.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Her Cowboy Prince (Book 1 in the Once Upon a Western Series) by Trish Milburn. This is Melody Shaw and Justin McQueen’s story.

This was a great read with a sweet romance, suspense, mystery, secrets, and entertaining characters. I really liked Melody and Justin’s characters. Man, there are so many obstacles in their way. Will Justin and Melody overcome these obstacles to take a chance on love?

I enjoyed the supporting characters too. Looking forward to the next books in this series.

I reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This was a very good book. The writing flows well and the story keeps you interested the whole way through.

Melody Shaw had a great life, CEO of a Pharmaceutical Company, she had it all but suddenly everything she holds dear is ripped away from her and she now lives a very different lifestyle, cleaning up after guests at the Peak View Hot Springs Resort.

Justin McQueen runs the resort and when he asks Melody for some new ideas to tempt more guests to the resort, Melody finds life starting to look better, her only problem is that she stay out of the limelight and not draw any attention to herself or she could just bring danger to herself and others around her.

Loved this book, it is fast paced with some twists involved.

Thanks to NetGalley and Tule Publishing for the opportunity to read and review.

Melody worked at Peak View Hot Spring Resort as a maid in Housekeeping. Tonight Melody’s past seemed to be right with her tonight. Melody was in the Witness Protection Program to protect her life. She needed to keep a lower profile than she was used to. So much so she had to remind herself every day she was no longer heir to the Redmond Pharmaceuticals. That had ended when someone had taken a literal shot nearly killing her. Then Melody discovered her stepmother and stepsister had ties to a Ukrainian crime family. Melody had testified against her stepmother and put her in prison the she had to start a new life. The only thing from her old life was her first name as she felt she might not answer to a different first name. Melody went into Justin’s office and turned on the light to clean and then Justin woke up as he had fallen to sleep at his desk. Justin was the eldest son and head honcho of the resort which was surrendered by the Peak View Ranch for miles in each direction. Justin asked Melody if she had any ideas for festivities they could have at the resort to bring in people and Melody came up with an idea for single people at Christmastime. Justin really liked Melody’s idea. Justin asked Meldy to be the temporary events coordinator. Both Melody and Justin are attracted to each other but fighting the attraction. Justin was still getting over a bad break up and Melody has to keep the low profile for her chance to be safe.
This was a good read. But you could pretty much predict what was going to happen. I liked how Melody and Justin fought the attraction or tried to. This did drag for me at times. I don’t really see how the title fits this book. That confused me a little. I did enjoy the romance. I liked how Molly came up with the holiday idea out of nowhere. I liked Melody and Justin together. This was a bit like Cinderella with the evil stepmother and sister, maybe that is where the Prince reference comes in. I like the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.
