I enjoyed Melody’s and Justin’s story and am looking forward to his brothers’ stories as well. I thought that both Melody and Justin were such good people facing tremendous challenges though Melody seemed to carry a lot of guilt for being in the witness security program even though she wasn’t guilty of anything. The author’s writing was very intelligent and sharp. I appreciated the secondary character development and the wonderful job of making the setting come alive. Looking forward to future installments in the series.

Her Cowboy Prince by Trish Milburn is just one of those books you can´t put down once you start reading. It´s so good. It´s exciting and well written with a great story-line that just draws you in. It´s thrilling but oh so romantic. It gives you a great outdoors setting that makes you wanna move there, or at least go on a vacation. Great story.

Melody is starting her life over at a resort in Montana. She has personal baggage and is not interested in a new relationship. Justin works at the resort and has his own baggage. They work great together, but have a hard time resisting their attraction. I have read several books by this author and loved them all. I look forward to the next book in this series.

Nothing better than using the idea of Cinderella and bringing it to today's sense. This book takes witness protection, working as a maid in a spa resort and the owner who is a prince of a man who sees this out of place woman and wants to pursue his feeling for her. Win Win for all

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. What an awesome book! I loved the romance, the chemistry between Melody and Justin. The suspense surrounding Melody’s life was really compelling to read. I liked the way Melody slowly began to interact with her coworkers, her neighbor and Justin’s family. I found the plot very realistic where there was an evil stepmother and stepsister who pushed Melody out of her own life so she had to hide in witness protection to stay alive. I look forward to reading the next book by this new to me author. This is definitely 5 Stars.

Her Cowboy Prince by Trish Milburn is yet another take on the Cinderella story. This one has a murderous step-mother and step-sister. This has already taken place by the time the reader meets Melody Shaw. She has loss everything including the family company. Much like the Disney version, Melody is a maid now but just not for the wicked step family.

The story flows making it an easy if predictable read. But honestly, didn’t we all expect her to gain the attention of the “prince” Justin finding true love in the process. I certainly would have been disappointed if this had not happened. With that said, I will say it is well told without as much drama or suspense that would hinder the focus of the Melody finding more fulfillment in her life through new work and a new relationship. The relationship progress naturally and so does the extend of the danger that may still be following Melody. I liked Melody and Justin as well as their story.

Her Cowboy Prince by Trish Milburn
Once Upon a Western, Book 1
After testifying at the murder trial that sent her stepmother to prison and escaping an attempt on her life, Melody Shaw has lost everything. Formerly CEO of her family’s pharmaceutical company, she’s now living incognito as a housekeeper at a cozy resort in rural Montana. New career, new apartment, new name. She knows she needs to keep a low profile. The last thing she needs is a romance with the handsome, hardworking owner of the Peak View Hot Springs Resort.
When rancher and resort owner Justin McQueen impulsively asks Melody for some ideas to increase bookings for the resort, he’s impressed with her creativity and quick thinking. He persuades the reluctant Melody to jump in as the temporary events coordinator, helping him plan a week of Christmas festivities. As they work together, both of them struggle to fight their growing attraction. Justin is still recovering from a bad break-up and is very aware that as her employer, he needs to tread carefully. He also senses Melody has a secret, which he is determined to uncover.
As their event planning comes to fruition, Justin knows he needs to put common sense on hold and take a chance on a love he wants to last forever.
this is Melody Shaw and Justin McQueen’s story.
Honestly, the things she found in garbage cans. Melody Shaw shook her head at what looked like a deflated blow-up doll wearing a red bikini, then emptied the trash can into the larger bag on her housekeeping cart. It would be one thing to find the doll in a guest room, though still odd, but the fact that someone had stuffed it into the trash can in the vending area left her with so many questions. After all, the Peak View Hot Springs Resort wasn’t exactly a pay-by-the-hour establishment. The guests ran more toward vacationing families of considerable means and couples celebrating special occasions by splurging.
Once upon a time, this was the type of place she might have stayed while on vacation. But that was a lifetime ago.
A lifetime a part of her still held out hope she might possibly be able to reclaim.
Justin McQueen looked nearly as startled as she was, plus a bit confused to boot. She watched as a piece of paper fell back onto the desk from where it’d been stuck to his face. His ridiculously handsome face.
“I’m sorry,” she finally managed to say. “I didn’t know you were in here. I’ll come back later.”
“No, no,” he said, then rubbed a hand over his face as if he could wipe away the foggy aftereffects of sleep. “It’s okay. I’m sorry I startled you. I obviously need to go home if I’m conking out at my desk, probably drooling on myself.”
Her Cowboy Prince by Trish Milburn is a 4 star book.
I highly recommend reading.

I really enjoyed this one although I have to say that I have no idea how they came up with this title.
Neither the title nor the cover fit the story at all. Yet the story is a good one with some pretty terrific characters. Melody Shaw is a woman who has lost everything in her life and is starting over as part of witness protection in a small Montana town. Justin McQueen is working hard to keep his family business running. He recruits Melody to help come up with new ideas to bring more guests to the inn and get the bookings up. They work very well together and both fight hard to ignore the attraction between them. He is her boss after all. Some things can't be denied though and they soon find themselves involved in a way that could put Melody in danger. How will Justin feel when he finds out exactly who Melody really is.

I highly recommend this one.

I received an arc from Netgalley. What an endearing romantic story. Justin falls for Melody who is working as a maid and cleaning his office at the resort. Melody is in witness protection hiding from the evil stepsister and stepmother.

As they work together on some resort ideas they grow close and while evil threatens they fall deeply in love. Great read.

An impromptu nap and an unlocked door lead Justin and Melody to an attraction they can’t seem to fight.
Melody battles with the lies she’s forced to tell as Justin wants to get closer and she starts to make new friends. But secrets can’t stay hidden long.
The constant back and forth between Melody and Justin, with the promise of something just around the corner kept me on the edge of my seat. 5 stars!

3.75⭐

This was such a sweet, light, easy going romance. That had a slight Cinderella/Christmas element to it and in a way reminded me of a Christmas TV Movie. As they're always easy to watch, light in angst and full of likable characters. Not to mention they have engaging storylines. And that's exactly what Her Cowboy Prince was. Which made it very easy to read and enjoyable too. And with plenty of potential for future stories featuring the McQueen brothers, I would recommend this story to others.

Her Cowboy Prince is an irresistibly charming story about a young woman in hiding and a man that wants to bring her out, not knowing the dire consequences if he does.
Melody Shaw is in the witness protection program sent to live in the beauty of Montana. He life is in danger from her diabolical, villainous stepsister with ties to the Ukrainian crime family. Melody lives a quiet life as a hotel maid, never drawing attention to her. That is, until the hotel boss asks her a question, “Can you help me on something?” Her brilliant ideas and abilities stemming from her past life slowly draw her into the limelight and into his heart. The trouble that ensues is life threatening and altering.

This was a great book! It was well written and the characters were likeable. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series as well as looking for other books from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Other than the title of the story that didn’t make sense until literally the last page, this was a light read with nothing deep to be found within it’s pages. Being a takeoff of Cinderella, the plot was not a surprise, nor was the outcome. With this in mind, I expected nothing less then a charming story with the expected HEA. I will continue to read the remaining stories as I am interested to see how Roman and Wes’ (I’m just assuming their stories will be told next) stories come about...and what fairytale theme they might be patterned after.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am providing my honest review.

Her Cowboy Prince is book 1 in the Once Upon a Western. I requested this book from Netgalley as the description drew my attention right away and although the writing was good the storyline failed to deliver for me. In saying this though I would encourage others to read it for themselves as this is just my opinion. I will read more by this author in hope this series finds its rhythm
