Contemporary Romance

Maine & North Carolina – Present Day

Readers are treated to two stories in one book with Samantha Chase’s EXCLUSIVE and A TOUCH OF HEAVEN.

EXCLUSIVE

It’s a chance of a lifetime for reporter Taylor Scott to become well-known after a reclusive author requests that she be the first one to interview him. While Jonathan Wade is a best-selling author, no one has ever seen him. Now Taylor has a chance to change all that, but she must travel to Maine and stay with the man at his remote property. She arrives and is met by Mr. Wade’s assistant, Mike Green, a man from her past who was her ex’s best friend. His boss is away at the moment, but Mike has been instructed to acclimatize Taylor to the area. As Taylor and Mike become reacquainted, they begin to enjoy their time spent together. But something feels off to her. Is Mike being honest with her about his boss?

The first time Mike and Taylor knew one another, she was involved with another man. But after a contentious breakup with her ex, she drifted apart from Mike. Will the time spent together allow them to rekindle something that will lead to more than friendship? Mike seems to have a cushy job that gives him the run of the property, which leads Taylor to wonder about Mike. Readers will question if Jonathan Wade really exists or what Mike is hiding. Taylor starts to develop feelings for Mike but she is hot and cold about them because she is supposed to be working and doesn’t want to give a bad impression when Mr. Wade shows up. Mike begins to wonder if she thinks less of him because he is the hired help. Will things work out enough for them to find a future together? And what happens when…and if…the mysterious author shows up?

A TOUCH OF HEAVEN

Regan Amerson’s father has been gone for several years and her mother is finally ready to sell the family home. But one day her mother comes into the spa they co-own with the news that she’s been offered a chance of a make-over for the house by a popular television renovation show. Regan is dubious, even after the host of the show, Sawyer Bennett, informs her that they won’t change the character of the house. As the crew starts on the project, Regan finds herself battling with Sawyer over things that he’s doing. Yet, even as they argue, a sizzle of awareness simmers between them. Will the tension between them turn into something more?

Regan’s mixed feelings about her mother selling the family home has her immediately hating Sawyer for renovating it in the first place, even though he assures her that it will help increase the sale price. Even while she drags her feet over the project, the pull of attraction between herself and Sawyer can’t be denied. They try to keep their relationship under wraps, even from her mother and his father, who themselves are seeing each other. Meanwhile, the show’s filming must go on, with each day making them realize that soon their fling must end. Sawyer’s life is on the road filming his show, while Regan’s is in North Carolina running her spa. Can they find a way to make it work?

EXCLUSIVE and A TOUCH OF HEAVEN are two delightful tales of couples finding romance and love in the most unexpected of ways. With a bit of sizzle and pop, this tale is a nice read that you’ll surely enjoy.

Very Entertaining! Two great stories rolled into one boxed set! Each story is a different romance and are fun, loving, sexy with a couple surprises. I really enjoyed both these stories!

I always like getting two books in one! A touch of heaven was my favorite of the two - but Exclusive is still very good. I just connected with the character in A Touch of Heaven a bit more (something about the main character in Exclusive got on my nerves at times). These are both nice books to relax with -- which is great as we head into the chilly winter months, these two are perfect for a nice weekend relaxing read - particularly if you have a nice mug of tea or hot cocoa to go along side.

Even though these are two short stories, but of them are charming and work so well together. If you are a fan of author Samantha Chase, you need to add this book to your collection.

Samantha Chase is a go-to author for me. I know that when I pick up her book I’ll lose myself in her words, find a setting that I can’t wait to visit and hate to have to leave, meet characters that I want to make friends with, and read a story that I can’t put down. This book was a bonus for me. Two stories in one magnificent book. As I finished each one I thought oh, yes this one will be my favorite. Exclusive was a great once upon a time friends to lovers story while A Touch of Heaven is a look at how life changes can open up new adventures and bring a new love to your life.

Exclusive is the first story in the book and it is perfect. A once bad boy now has turned his life around and has never forgotten a girl from his past. The twists and turns of Mike and his illusive boss were not as much of a surprise to me as how deep Mike’s feelings were for Taylor after all these years. I could see how this story would come together and loved watching both Mike and Taylor come to grips on their feelings, their lives, and their priorities while making decisions that affected their careers, their hearts, and each other.

A Touch of Heaven is a story showing how Regan is struggling with her mother’s decision to remodel and sell her childhood home. While the mother takes Regan’s concerns into her thoughts while making decisions I liked that the mother did what she knew was right but didn’t push Regan’s concerns away. She addressed them, gave them the weight they deserved, and explained her reasoning as to why she had to continue on the path she did. The contractors who did the job were perfect. Cute, fun, and professional as they took a family home and showed the ladies the potential it held.

This is a great two story book. I liked that they were both stand alone books.

I give these books 5 stars. The storyline between the heroes and heroine's was amazingly written and all around great reads. They were fun, chemistry packed books. I voluntarily reviewed these Advanced Reader Copy of these books. They are in one word "WOW".

Exclusive - Taylor is a writer for a magazine in NYC who is trying to make a name for herself. When she is given the chance to interview the successful reclusive author Jonathan Wade there is no way she can turn down the opportunity. When she arrives at his home, she finds out her Mike, her friend from high school is his assistant. As they spend time together, they become close but if it becomes a choice between her career or love what will she choose?

A Touch of Heaven – After the death of her father Regan is upset that not only is her mother having the family home renovated on a reality show, but she intends to sell the place that is so full of happy memories. Sawyer and his Dad Max are renovating the home and romantic feelings develop between Regan and Sawyer as well as their parent’s, but will the show destroy their chance of a happy ever after?

It is great have both of these heartwarming and hot stories in one book. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A nice quick read from Samantha. Taylor and Mike share a history, but not a romantic one. Unless you count that one kiss years ago. Taylor is given the writing assignment of a lifetime and to her surprise it’s because of Mike who she hasn’t seen in years. Sparks fly until the true is revealed. Taylor’s not sure she can trust anything when that happens. The one thing she does trust is her word even if it costs her everything.

A Touch of Heaven has a nice humor to it. I like he theme of the home remodel. It’s a nice change to other books. This is a nice quick read.

When an opportunity to interview a famous reclusive author lands in Taylor’s lap, she is a little skeptical. Why was she a little known author selected for this interview? And why no one can accompany her ? When she reaches the authors residence, she is happy to see an old friend, Mike Greene, the authors assistant. As they rekindle a lot more than old friendship, a time comes when Taylor has to choose between her job and love.

With a very heavy heart Regan has agreed to see their family home, and when her mom wins a home makeover, she is not thrilled about the changes they will make.
When the shows host, Sawyer learns of the producers wanting to glamorize the family drama between Mom and daughter, he isn’t thrilled. But one look at Regan and he is smitten.

2 amazing stories in one book what more can one ask for ! Though I must confess, I enjoyed a touch of heaven a tad bit more than exclusive. But both the stories have amazing characters, superb chemistry and captivating storyline.

What is better than a Samantha Chase romance??? Why two of them in the same book, of course! Samantha writes wonderful, often humorous, but always sweet and sexy romances and these two are no exception.

Exclusive: Taylor is writer for a news magazine and is looking for a story that will launch her career into the stratosphere. When the opportunity presents itself to interview a reclusive author, she is hesitant but decided to take a chance. This opportunity allows her to re-connect unexpectedly with a friend from her past and sparks fly! Mike may not be all he seems to be and when secrets are revealed, all may be lost. Taylor has to decide between her heart and her career... what will it be?

A Touch of Heaven: Sawyer and his dad, Max are reality show hosts who remodel homes and they are given the task of fixing up Caroline's home to get it ready to sell. Reagan (Caroline's daughter) is against making any changes as it is the home she grew up in and holds many memories of her dad. This reluctance to get on board with the project causes friction between Reagan and her mom and with Sawyer and Max.

Sawyer is attracted to Reagan and does his best to wear down her resistance to the changes all the while fighting his feelings. He has never been in love and is not sure how to handle the way he is feeling towards her. Reagan feels the chemistry too but can't get past his job of changing her childhood home.

Max and Caroline are fighting their own attraction as well and this adds some humor to the story-line. When the director of the show wants to play off the tension in order to get ratings, Sawyer digs in his heels. But the damage may be already done when Reagan gets wind of the plan.

I loved the dynamics between mom and daughter and father and son. The two romances are sweet but sexy as only Samantha can do. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it for a quick fun read.

I honestly don’t recall having read either of these books by Samantha Chase before so I am not sure about the new content upon the rerelease. But second chance love stories is one of my favorite tropes so Exclusive touched my heart from the get go. Of course once I was all cuddled in for the first book, naturally I just went into the second one. Now I just want to have her rerelease all of her old ones that I might have missed. Might be time for a Samantha Chase marathon reading day.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book provided by NetGalley.

Wow! Samantha Chase is an exceptionally gifted writer. Samantha Chase has an ear for dialogue. She always creates enduring hereos. Samantha Chase gives life to romance.

Samantha Chase gives us two sweet and heartwarming stories in one great book.

Exclusive is a sweet and heartwarming story about second chances. I love second chance love stories. For Mike Greene, Taylor Scott wasn't just the one who got away but she was also forbidden fruit because she was his best friends girl. The chemistry they have is undeniable. I must admit I felt a lot of heartswooning moments. Exclusive is a very unique read for me. You not only get the second chance love trope but you also get the friends to lovers trope. Mike and Taylor were friends in high school. When Taylor and Mike reconnect it is just so natural flowing for them. It's as if they never parted ways. Exclusive was very enchanting. I was sorry to see the story end. I enjoyed reading this book.

I must say I just adored A Touch of Heaven. A Touch of Heaven was different than other books due to the fact it wasn't just a romance book. You get the romance aspect but you also got to read the mother/daughter aspect also. I felt so many emotions reading this book. My heart swooned and I even found myself feeling sad. One of my favorite lines was from Caroline when she said "For crying out loud, Regan, I'm your mother. You don't have anything I haven't seen before." "It wouldn't kill you to invest in some good underwear you know." That had me cracking up laughing. I just adored Caroline and Regan's relationship and their banter. I loved how Caroline even got the chance at love with Max Bennett. Regan Amerson does not like Sawyer Bennett in the beginning. I loved Sawyer and Regan. I really loved Caroline. I just loved all the banter and angst and struggles. Most of all my heart just broke for Regan and her struggles to find peace with her mom wanting to sell the home she grew up in. I laughed and cried and felt heartswooning moments. A Touch of Heaven was an exploration of many themes from romance to starting over to friendship. A Touch of Heaven is very addictive and awe-inspiring. The characters leap off the page. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Samantha Chase should be applauded for such an exquisite story.

Samantha Chase has given us two wonderful novels in one book! Both stories have strong and relatable characters who will touch your heart and you will fall in love with. Trying to pick my favorite between the two just isn’t possible. They are two beautifully written, different romances that both showcase Samantha’s talent. Exclusive gives you a bit more angst, and A Touch of Heaven gives you a bit more heat. Both are emotional, heartwarming, romantic, touching, just everything I look for in a book!

This is a duo you do not want to miss out on.

Samantha Chase, a master at writing romance novels, delivers two sweet love stories, Exclusive and A Touch of Heaven, where the lies and hidden facts can greatly affect the love relationship between two deserving people.

Exclusive is a sweet story that allows two former friends a sort of second chance after not seeing one another for close to ten years. Struggling journalist Taylor Scott is given the opportunity of a lifetime when reclusive best-selling author Jonathan Wade requests she be assigned to his first-time ever one on one, exclusive interview. When Taylor finds herself with the author’s assistant, Michael Greene, her high school boyfriend’s former best friend all does not go according to plans. For one week Michael and Taylor deal with their attraction to one another as Michael prepares Taylor for her exclusive interview. As these two spend time together, getting reacquainted, feeling grow, a romance begins, and emotions are tense. When Taylor discovers Michael’s lies and omissions, she will have to choose between the publishing the story that could launch her career and an unexpected chance at love.

A Touch of Heaven follows the budding relationship between carpenter, renovator, and reality TV host Sawyer Bennett, and spa owner Regan Amerson. Regan’s mother Caroline has the opportunity to participate in a reality show to renovate their family home, a home Caroline is hoping to sell. However, Regan struggles with the show’s direction as she fears her childhood is slowly being buried behind a modern update, erasing the memories of her late father. As her mother begins an affair with Sawyer’s father, contractor Max Bennett, Regan and Sawyer keep secret the beginning of their friendship and romance, fearing repercussions from the show’s producer. As love grows between Regan and Sawyer, there is a potential fall-out as Sawyer’s lies of omission threaten his relationship with the woman he is growing to love.

Ms. Chase wrote two delightful stories; filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. These stories were wonderful from start to finished, with an amazing HEA. I highly recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven is a great duo by this author.

In Exclusive, we get to enjoy the reunion of Taylor and Mike, as Taylor is hired to interview a reclusive author. But what will happen when she finds out the truth?

In A Touch of Heaven, Sawyer and Regan must hide their attraction to each other while Sawyer's show does the makeover to Regan's childhood home. But Regan feels as if her past is disappearing before her eyes. Can they get past the conflict?

Both of these are great stories that pull you in and keep you reading. I definitely recommend this duo.

Exclusive
When little-known writer Taylor Scott is granted two weeks to interview a famous reclusive author, it's the opportunity of a lifetime. So is the chance to rekindle her friendship with Mike Greene, who happens to be the author's assistant. But as feelings deepen and time winds down, Taylor will have to choose between the story that could launch her career and an unexpected chance at love.

A Touch of Heaven
As Regan Amerson makes the emotional decision to sell their family home, her mother wins a home makeover from a reality TV show. Regan is furious, and jaded host Sawyer Bennett isn't thrilled either. That is, until he meets Regan—and finds himself enamored by the fiercely independent beauty. She may want nothing to do with him, but Sawyer isn't one to give up easily...

Two absolutely wonderful stories that are very well written, great characters and very entertaining. Loved the books with their strong characters, sweet romance, and amazing chemistry. They grabbed me from the beginning that I could not put down. Bonus have two books in one. Not something to miss out on. Plus Samantha Chase is an awesome writer who writes from the heart.
