Very enjoyable and well written duo complete with wonderful characters and happily ever afters.

Exclusive

I really liked this story not just because it was different but I also loved the characters so much. Mike and Taylor knew each other 10 years ago when she was dating his friend. He’s never been able to forget her. He knows she is a journalist now so he puts a request in with her boss for her to come to Maine to do an exclusive interview with his boss, reclusive author Jonathan Wade, on his farm. Taylor is thrilled to get the opportunity to interview Jonathan Wade although a tad nervous to go up to Maine alone. She can't believe when she gets there and Mike is the assistant who will show her around and take care of preliminaries until Mr. Wade returns from a trip. They have chemistry that is obvious and Mike hopes to get to know her again while she is there but that is simply an understatement. He has never forgotten her and always wanted her and is hoping the feeling is mutual. Can they get over the hurdles thrown at them by the unusual situation they find themselves in and find a HEA together?
This is a fast read but very enjoyable and sweet.

A Touch of Heaven

Loved the concept of this story too! It is also another quickie but such a good story. Again it was a little bit different and that’s a good thing in my opinion. Regan’s mother Caroline meets Max in the hardware store when she was there buying paint to spruce up their home before selling it. Max and his son Sawyer have a reality home improvement show on TV and Max tosses the idea out to Caroline. Regan is hung up on not really making many changes to her family home because it is the way her father loved it. She is dead set against doing this show. She just wants to continue to run her spa and not get involved in this. Sawyer and Rgan have definite chemistry from the get-go which is pretty difficult to ignore.
I love the dynamic between Sawyer and Regan as well as Max and Caroline. Love the way things turn out for all of them and what transpires is exactly what I was hoping would happen.

Two books in one, “Exclusive / A Touch of Heaven” by Samantha Chase is about a second chance at love, albeit under different circumstances.

In “Exclusive,” New Yorker Taylor Scott found herself face to face with Mike Green, a boy she once knew. Sweet memories of him are interspersed with bitter ones. As they go through memory lane, secrets are revealed, some of them surprising, even devastating but their friendship and budding romance withstood them all, i.e., until the past merged with the present. Taylor and Mike have to weather it all before they can find their happily ever after.

“A Touch of Heaven” is a laugh out loud funny story of two romantic liaisons that are so unexpected that you scratch your chin at times. Samantha Chase once again shows her funny bone in this feel good story that also shows that a parent and a child can be best friends.

Exclusive / A Touch of Heaven is Rated T for Teens. Parental guidance is advised.

I’ve been a reader of Samantha Chase’s work for quite a while now. She always delivers a good story with believable characters. And when we get a double title book upon occasion I’m thrilled. This time round Exclusive and A Touch of Heaven are bundled together. I will mention that both titles were previously published.

Exclusive brings a huge opportunity for up and coming reporter Taylor Scott. An interview with the reclusive author that no one has seen and who has, up to now, kept himself firmly away from the public’s eye. Taylor will be working closely with the author’s assistant – who just happens to be an old friend who she’s been out of touch with for a while. More than the story, and more than friendship will begin to bloom between Mike and Taylor. Now comes the decision of a lifetime for Taylor – which is more important, the exclusive story of her career or the chance at a lifetime love.

I quite enjoyed myself with Mike and Taylor’s romance. Full of laugh out loud moments, a new romance filled with tender affection and steamy moments. I was definitely waiting for Taylor to make the right choice.

A Touch of Heaven is full of changes in life, a bit of irony and the possibility of a forever love from the ashes of change. Regan made the decision to sell her family home. It wasn’t an easy one, but once made she stuck to her decision. Until her mother wins a home makeover. Talk about a monkey wrench tossed into her plans. Now she’s wrapped up in a reality show with a host she cannot stand. Sawyer isn’t thrilled at the events either but getting to know the real Regan is intriguing. When the dust settles does love have a chance?

Sawyer and Regan’s story made me giggle and roll my eyes more than once – in a good way. A Touch of Heaven proves that life happens, the right for you person can be anyone, even someone who annoys you, at times. Watching this romance unfold was enjoyable, I love a heroine with a touch of sass.

In all, I had fun with Exclusive / A Touch of Heaven. And if you love Romance, tender moments, laughing out loud, and a steamy encounter as well, then you’ll love this one.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Exclusive is all about a worldwide famous mystery writer who managed to keep his identity unknown but now wants to be interviewed by Taylor. The magazine where she works got a contract detailing how she would have to go to his place for two whole weeks to do the interview. But when she gets there, it’s not the mysterious Jonathan Wade she finds, it’s Mike, her long lost friend who’s also the author’s assistant.

A Touch of Heaven features Regan and Sawyer. Regan’s mother won a home makeover which is something that Regan is not really happy about because it’s just one more thing helping her mother sell her childhood home. She hates losing that house and hates even more the man changing it, Sawyer Bennet.

So, in case you’re confused like I was, these are two completely different and independent stories. You can read just one of them or you can read both if you fancy it without a specific order. They’re kind of two short stories. Which are perfect for those days where you have a few hours free and you want something to make you happy without compromising do a deep and dramatic story. This is light, cute, sexy and fast!

All that I would advise you was to not expect something really elaborate because that is not the intent of any of these stories.

Exclusive is a second-chance romance whilst A Touch of Heaven is an enemies-to-lovers romance but they are both pretty simple yet engaging. If I had to choose, I would say that A Touch of Heaven is my favorite mainly because of its ending. It’s just so endearing and perfect!

Between the second chance romance and the enemies-to-lovers story, Exclusive/A Touch of Heaven is an easy, fast and most of all endearing read! Recommend it to any fan of short romance stories.

Great combo two book set from Samantha Chase.
Exclusive - a second chance, young love, bad boy turns good to win the girl, really well written. A great book for cosying up on the sofa and getting lost in the story. No spoilers, loved it, there's a surprise twist effect, read in one sitting, it's that good!
A Touch of Heaven - another great, warm love story. Girl meets boy, boy upsets girl with his actions, falls hard for her and sets out to win her over. Saucy bits, warm fuzzy bits, again another one sitting read, really enjoyed both, great two book set.

Exclusive
Taylor is a struggling journalist who gets the break of her life when an anonymous reclusive author asks for her, specifically, to write a story on him. When she gets to the author’s farm, the author’s assistant (Mike) is an old friend and he is to relate background information on his boss. The attraction between them is undeniable and it doesn’t take long for them to act on it.

This is a very sweet romance. I just loved Taylor ... she was just so real. It made me kinda mad that Mike thought so little of himself ... that he couldn’t get over his childhood. This is a great book to curl up with because it just gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

A Touch of Heaven
Sawyer and his dad Max are the stars of a reality renovation show. When Caroline wins a home renovation from them, her daughter Regan is not happy about it. Regan doesn’t want the home she grew up in to change even though she knows her mom needs to sell it because it’s just too big for her to take care of. Even though Regan resents Sawyer for disturbing her childhood memories, she can’t deny the attraction she has to him. And Sawyer can’t stop thinking about the little dynamite with a temper ... named Regan.

I loved the fact that there are actually two love stories in this book ... Sawyer and Regan along with their parents, Caroline and Max. I laughed so hard when Regan caught her mom and Max in bed together. The chemistry between Sawyer and Regan just about melted the words off the pages. Another great story by Ms Chase.

I received an ARC courtesy of Sourcebooks Casablanca through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

Exclusive;
Jonathan Wade a successful mystery writer who doesn’t do interviews so when he invites a NYC magazine to run a piece on him it’s an unusual event and when he stipulates that it’s only Taylor who writes the piece and that she spends two weeks in Maine with him the plot thickens .....
Taylor has just started her career and this could be the break she needs but she can’t help thinking why her, the reasoning behind Jonathan requesting her is soon answered when she arrives in Maine and is met by Mr Green, Jonathan’s Assistant, she thought she knew the name but as soon as she sees him she realises Mike Green is a friend from her past....but is Mr Green who he says he is ..
This book hooked me from the first page and it left me wanting more.
A Touch of Heaven;
Regan can’t believe her mother is selling the family home and she is struggling to except its time to let go and when her mother wins a home makeover things go from bad to worse and than a hot male called Sawyer arrives to design and supervise the makeover and that’s when things get real messy ...
The banter between Sawyer and Regan was perfect and the chemistry sizzling which made this an enjoyable read.
Samantha Chase always draws you in, her books captivate you and her characters are strong and loveable, different plots, different characters but the end is the same beautifully written great reads from the very talented Samantha Chase.

What a terrific combination! Exclusive is about a struggling journalist & a man from her past. Both characters come across as very human with their own strengths & faults. Taylor really seemed like a nice young woman focusing on her career but realizing her life was missing something. Mike came across as clueless & vulnerable. The idea of his plan coming across as something dangerous to a single young woman never crossed his mind. Every time something’s interfered with his plans, Mike reverted to being hurt & assuming it was because of his past. At times, it had him come across arrogant. I enjoyed reading about the journey Taylor & Mike took and what they went through together.

A Touch of Heaven is about a young woman having difficulty with accepting the changes in her life. Her mother wants to sell the family home & wins a home makeover. Regan doesn’t want to see the house changed. This leads to a battle of wills between Regan & the contractor, Sawyer. This story has two romances going on. One is between Sawyer & Regan and the other is, of all things, between their parents. This story is witty, funny & at times, a little sad. The interactions between Regan & her mother are hilarious &, in their memories of the past, sometimes poignant. It’s a typical mother-daughter relationship. The interactions between Sawyer & his father are an example of a more typical male relationship. They think they know what each other is thinking.

Samantha Chase’s excellent character development are apparent in both stories. The plots unfold in perfect timing & lead to wonderful conclusions. They are the perfect samples of her writing to get you hooked for life!

These are two great short stories written by Samantha Chase.

In Exclusive, Taylor is given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interview a very popular, reclusive writer. Once she meets his assistant, Mike, she recognizes him from college. They quickly make a connection but Taylor is in Maine to work....And will be returning to New York soon. I really liked both of these characters and enjoyed the description of the scenery in Maine. Great story!

In A Touch of Heaven, Regan isn't happy that her mom is selling her childhood home and even more upset when her mom wants to do a reality TV show to get it ready to sell. Sawyer has about had it with being a reality TV host. But one look at Regan changes his mind.

I loved this!! Sawyer is such a perfect hero!! Regan was pretty angry in the beginning of the story but she mellowed and I grew to love her too. A great story with a fantastic HEA.

This two for one book is written by an Amazing author. This is the first time I have read any of her work (I had the pleasure of reading an advance, release, copy of this book) and I definitely will read more.
This is one book you want to read!
Exclusive is about former friends reuniting and falling in love after a few bumps in the road.
A Touch of Heaven is about a Mother/Daughter duo who run a day spa. After a bit of drama they fall in love with a Father/Son Home Renovation duo.

Exclusive is about a struggling NYC based magazine writer, Taylor, who is given a once in a life time opportunity interview an illusive author who has never been photographed or interviewed before. But Taylor doesn’t realize that the author’s assistant is someone from her past.

Both characters have their flaws, making them read genuine. The mystery was predictable but man I just couldn’t wait for it to get there.

A Touch of Heaven is about a young, successful woman, Regan, who is having a really hard time dealing with her widowed mother finally selling their family home. When her mother goes to the home store she is picked by a host of a reality home show to have her home renovated. Regan didn’t want the home redone and she didn’t want to find the designer and star of the show to be so hot. Sawyer, the star of the show, just must convince Regan that he worth the risk.

Sweet and endearing, this has likeable characters and explosive chemistry.

Two marvelous romance and one hot read.

Two great books in one. The books are not connected, so two completely different storylines. I loved both of them.

This book contains two Samantha Chase novels. The first, Exclusive is about a journalist, Taylor Scott who gets the opportunity to interview a star, reclusive author, but instead finds her way back to her old friend Mike Greene.
This story was almost like waiting for a train wreck. You know from the start what is going to happen and spend the time wondering how badly it’s going to end.
I loved the characters in this story! Taylor is all about her job and being professional and I could completely sympathize with her and relate to her. Then there’s Mike Green who seems to be the embodiment of every woman’s fantasy- physical and intellectual and trying to give Taylor everything she wants.
The setting is also amazing! Who wouldn’t want a gorgeous fairytale home in the country and a boat at the shore. The one thing that bugged me was that a 55’ boat was described as a yacht needing a crew. Maybe Ms, Chase isn’t a boater, but that needs to be at least 10-20 feet longer to need a crew and be impressive!
The pacing of the story was fast, but it made sense as the characters had been involved before. It truly was an enjoyable second chance romance with a lovely ending!
The second story in this book was A Touch if Heaven which has Regan Amerson and her mom winning a home makeover with a hot TV show. Who knew they would both fall for the father son team who comes to complete the renovation.
This was a super cute romance that just felt natural and was very feel-good. I liked how the mother daughter relationship was very realistic with them squabbling and not always seeing eye to eye and yet loving each other undoubtedly.
I also liked how the drama was kept to a minimum and care from an outside force.
Once again, the hero in this story is every woman’s fantasy! Ms. Chase does a great job portraying her hero’s as loving and wonderful, but not perfect!
I really liked the ending of this story, though the pace was a little fast for me!
I also noticed that the two stories hit the mark on a balance between hot and steamy.
Thank you to Ms. Chase, the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

My Thoughts

Each time I read something penned by author Samantha Chase am reminded one more time how much her works make me happier after reading them.

Granted that may not always hold true for the entire book but it does for a good percentage of the read.

Who doesn't like being happy?

Exclusive

Mystery, character issues and unexpected chance at romance follow the plot that makes up the story of Mike and Taylor in Exclusive.

As the young, struggling journalist finds herself making a life changing decision she also finds an inner strength that Taylor had almost forgotten was hers.

Mike is a blast from the past and a time in life Taylor has tried to put behind her. However, he is also the one memory of that time she never wanted to forget.

In a tried and true fashion this short story brings to life people and places that make readers feel at home as well as comfortable throughout it's telling.

A Touch of Heaven

Second offering A Touch of Heaven continues in the same vein, however bringing two strangers together this time who find themselves butting heads from the get-go until undeniable attraction wins out instead!

Regan Amerson is in business with her widowed Mom and sparks fly between the two on a regular basis as both are strong-willed. However there is no doubt that Regan feels blindsided when her mother lets her know that their family home is going to be put on the market and sold.

The very thought of losing a place where so many precious memories of her life fill the rooms, Regan reacts with anger and pain which is in no way alleviated by the news that her Mom had won a home makeover.

Upon meeting the father/son team who will heading the renovation those feelings are transferred to reality TV show host Sawyer Bennett.

Sawyer Bennett is just as upset as Regan when his Dad tells him about their newest project. At least he is until meeting the Amerson ladies in person, particularly Regan, upon which his feelings of animosity over the makeover change to determination to win the younger Amerson over.

A Touch of Heaven has many ups and downs for both the characters as well as it's reader.

This is actually two short stories in one I normally don't like short stories at all! But I really enjoyed these!! The first book is Taylor and Mike book, Taylor gets the opportunity of a lifetime to interview a reclusive author and Mike who is actually one of her childhood friends is the writers assistant! Taylor goes to meet the author and gets Mike at first ,they get hot and heavy after a bit and then some secrets are revealed! It definitely was an interesting story! The next book is Regan and Sawyer book, Regan along with her mother decides to sell her childhood home. Sawyer is a reality home improvement star along with his dad! They pick them as their next project and Regan is dead set against it! I liked this one alot!! I loved how both their parents fit in!! That was great! Definitely don't miss out on this one! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Two absolutely fabulous stories. Exclusive is a second chance romance. A Touch of Heaven is smart and witty. It has a dual couple falling in Love. The relationship between Regan and her mother Caroline is absolutely hilarious. All couples find their happily ever after.

A terrific two-for-one! I loved both stories in this collection.

Exclusive is very sweet. My only issue with it was I didn't like how the hero kept his identity a secret.

A Touch of Heaven is a bit more spicy but an enjoyable read.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I’m sorry but I could not finish this book. I have read this author before and enjoyed her writing but I was unable to engage with this one.

What great stories! I absolutely fell in love with both!!
Exclusive:
Taylor is chosen to write the identity reveal for a reclusive author, and is sent to Maine for 2 weeks. When she arrives she finds old friend Mike! As they rekindle their friendship, she finds they have a connection like nothing she's every felt before! Can they survive the big reveal? Absolutely fell in love with these characters! 5 stars!!!

A Touch of Heaven:
Reagan and her mom own a spa, her mom wants to sell the family home it's too much for one person, Reagan isn't happy about that but when her mom runs into the home improvement story to grab some paint she's offered a remodel of her home!
Max & Sawyer Bennett, define the father and son team, both hot! Can they convince Reagan that they won't destroy the home or the memories, but make it a great place that they can sell.
I enjoyed all the characters and the story line! 5 stars for this grab this and enjoy it!

I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Exclusive was a romantic story that left the details to the reader’s imagination but I didn’t like the fact that Mike kept his fictional identity a secret from Taylor. I thought the ending was precious!

A Touch of Heaven was also a romantic story with a bit more steam! I enjoyed the plot of this story more than the other. I am surprised that Sebastian and Regan were able to keep their relationship a secret from their parents. I love the double love story twist! I also enjoy reading stories that are set in my home state!
