There is not another author quite like Samantha Chase. She makes her characters real, with real conversation, real insecurities, real money issues, whether wealthy or struggling, real needs and feelings.

Exclusive is a one of her romances that deals with issues people could have, from the insecurity of Mike needing his privacy to Taylor’s desire to get that ‘exclusive’ and elusive interview with Jonathan Wade. Even the second chance aspect between Mike and Taylor is believable. The way their relationship renewal begins is from long ago hidden/unacknowledged feelings. They seemed to leap into their relationship, but it was really a long time in the making. Both Taylor and Mike had to learn to trust the other. They both said hurtful things, lacking the communication a couple needs, also real to life. And, it was difficult along the way, but ended with a perfect HEA – couldn’t have been better! (Yes, you see fairly quickly what is going on, but who cares – it makes for a great evening read).

A Touch of Heaven is, also, about real people. This difference is it contains two love stories. The main one centers on Regan and Sawyer, with the secondary romance between Regan’s mom, Caroline and Sawyer’s dad, Max. Regan and Caroline own a spa together. Sawyer and Max have a reality home improvement show. Carolyn ‘wins’ a the next house renovation. Regan is struggling with just selling the family home, much less changing its appearance. The director of the show finds out that Regan does not want her family home renovated/changed in any way. He plans to capitalize on that for the ratings. Kind-hearted Sawyer refuses to let that happen even when blackmailed by the director. Regan begins to see the inevitability of the renovation taking place even while she is wanting to dislike Sawyer for it, she can’t. Bring the ‘villain’ director back in to cause problems and our sweet couples have a little difficulty with the HEAs.

Both of these novellas are a great read and light-hearted. Both are a bit sensual, definitely romantic.

Two sweet and sexy novellas. One with a second-chance at being more than friends, and one with instant attraction turning into more. Absolutely loved both!

I absolutely loved both these stories and they were my first Samantha Chase books.

Exclusive - Great storyline and even though I figured out early what was going to happen it was still a great read.

A touch of heaven - Another wonderful story with good characters that kept me turning the pages
