This was a fun read. Margie, Katherine, and Abra are a wonderful group of friends and their relationship is amazing. You will enjoy "hanging out" with them. Of course, they end up developing superpowers, something that turns these average women into true heroes.

This wonderful adventure will have you

You will fall in love with The Super Ladies. The story is enjoyable and so are the ladies. It was pleasant to see how middle-aged women could have a distinct voice and accomplish so much. Chuckling your way through the pages, this is one I would recommend you read.

Now if you could develop a super power, what would you choose?  And what would you do with that gift?  Hmmmmm.  Something to think about!

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a cute, wholesome story about 3 middle aged women who gain superpowers after being caught in a high school chemistry lab explosion. Everything about these women is bland, they live in Cleveland, Margie, is married and lives her life around her family, it's her daughter's science project that explodes. Abra has always done what needs to be done but always felt invisible, and Margie is experiencing her first signs of menopause. Now all three can help the people who need help. Great story that gives hope to all and is fun to read. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was a very strange book that I was expecting to love. It sounded like my kind of read. I think it will be a hit with lots of people, but just fell flat for me.😢
I received an ARC of this book from .Netgalley.
All opinions are my own.

This book has a little bit of everything. There is the superhero element, female friendship, and other chick lit things. I enjoyed this, as it was a quick read on a hot summer day.

I loved this book. I loved the characters and their personal stories as much as I liked the discovery of their superpower and how they came to use it.
A great read, fun and fascinating at the same time.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

Somewhere in your forties, you are literally middle aged, for most people. Our bodies start to show signs of slowing down, with more aches and pains. Society treats us as has-beens and not as important or "visible" as the more vibrant segment of the population.

Three seemingly average, normal women in middle America are going about their daily lives, the same routines they've been following for years, when an accident causes totally unexpected changes to each of them. Fans of comic strip super heroes are familiar with events that result in special talents, but no one ever really believes it could happen to herself.

This is a story about friendship and coming to terms with new talents.
About rediscovering a purpose to life and feeling useful again.

It is a fun adventure read, told in a believable voice and regular language.

I received this Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for an honest review, This book comes out on August 14th and can be purchased at Amazon at this link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DGLC5TJ/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1
This book is Weird science meets the moms. We begin at a science fair with Margie's daughter Joan's science project entitled, "Soy-Derived Phytoestrogens and Breast Cancer: Is There a Link?" As Margie and Joan are at the grocery store, they get the sprouted kind of tofu, rather than the Cleveland Tofu Company kind, which is what Joan has been using for her science project. Joan is analyzing cheek swabs for changes in the number of estrogen molecules after combining with phytoestrogen, but Margie and her two friends, Katherine and Abra's samples are all over the place as they are analyzed. As the three women are giving their samples, there is steam rising from the Bunsen burner and the CO2 pump. Suddenly, the thing explodes with a BOOM and Margie, Katherine and Abra wake up in a confused state. The explosion ends up being one of the lead stories on Cleveland.com the next morning. The three women go out to eat together shortly after the incident, on their way home, they witness a domestic dispute with a man screaming at a woman on the street. The man pulls a knife and it grazes Katherine, but she does not bleed and Abra intervenes without being seen. We are then taken to an incident where we are shown with Margie can do. Margie can heat things with her hands, not hot flashes after all.
We are then taken into the three women's lives and how they deal with their new super powers and how they try to keep it a secret. It is pretty fun to see the things they dare to do to show off their super powers. They help people that they normally wouldn't help and so much more.
This book is quite the page turner with the things these three women get into.
Make sure to check it out!

This was a fun read, especially because I am a mom who would dearly love to have superpowers! Imagine waking up and discovering abilities you never previously had AND that you two best friends also had superpowers. Watch our world! Great premise, great characters. My only criticism is that the plot moved rather slowly until the middle of the book.

I absolutely loved the premise of this and how the science worked into it made it seem like it really could happen that three ordinary women could be imbuedmwith superpowers. But I felt the story was lacking in that I didn’t feel emotionally connected to any of the characters and I had a hard ime at the beginning telling the three women apart. I also thought there was too much narrative and not enough dialogue.

The Super Ladies by Susan Petrone
From the descriptions this sounds like a great read, a little bit of something for everybody. Love how lives are intwined and they are there for each other supporting and helping in any way they can, at the children's sporting and science fairs.
Starts out with a gathering of the women and a chemical reaction when the experiment goes bad...the women sense the changes but have no idea what they mean.
Women are from the Cleveland area and liked learning about their careers and family life situations. When I realize what happened it's like wow this could really happen in todays world. Some hiliarous moments!
Like how the women embrace the changes and learn to live with them and how they open up to others who questions their talents. Don't read during the weekend but sneaked away several minutes listening to this book-couldn't put it down!
Love how the story got started and I do now enjoy comic strip type brought to the screen movies. Love lesson about how everybody has a talent, everybody is good at something.
If we all harnessed it we can change the world for the better. Other works by the author are summarized and highlighted at the end with an excerpt. Would love to read more from this author as the topics interest me.
Received this review copy from The Story Plant via Netgalley and this is my honest opinion.

I really liked the premise of the book and the build up to the discovery of the powers. However, I would have loved to see more of them using the powers and exploring what their powers meant. The book felt truncated and like there was so much I wanted to read. It took a long time to get to the power usage and I feel like there is so much more they could have done once they got their powers
