I have loved this series from the beginning, and this third book was a wonderful addition.

Kelly and Christian have been friends for a long time, and it's been a great friendship for both of them. They've loved and lost and definitely helped each other through the tough times. Yet now, Christian wants Kelly more than a friend. Does she want him more than a friend too?

This story was a quick read for me. Kelly being a workaholic to numb her pain of losing someone she loved drives the story and so does Christian's feelings for her. Yet, at the same time, she does want to finally move forward from her past and maybe the actor that's hired her to be his plus one could be the perfect opportunity. However, there's just one thing stopping her from going all in. Christian.

Overall, this author has delivered a really good read with delightful characters (both main and secondary) and a wonderful plot that was filled with surprises and disasters that had me laughing, smiling and a little teary-eyed due to the main characters back stories.

A new edition to a sweet romantic series. The premise of a wedding party for hire in glittery Hollywood is fun and flirty. I look forward to more from this author.

This story is best friends to lovers story. Kelly and Chris are best friends for ages and they had a platonic relationship until everything changes and feelings are suddenly far away from platonic and turn out erotic and sinful. After denying it first they give it a shot but everything doesn't go smoothly. Especially Chris has a problem by expressing himself. Lovely story with great likable characters. I loved the animal part of the story, also the friends were great. The story has an interesting small supernatural part is funny and enjoyable to read.

With hilarious and wry banter (Kelly’s one liners had me laughing out loud), and a smart dialog that draws you through their story, Kelly and Chris finally succumb to the chemistry that’s always been brewing in the background of their BFF friendship. This series has been captivating from its onset, with Riley and Marley finding their own HEA’s, I anxiously awaited Kelly’s...Ms Gary has been a fresh voice in the romance genre , she created a unique premise in this series, with realistic characters who leave a lasting impression. The epilogue was fitting for the couple, the story couldn’t have ended any better.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

This was just an OK story IMO. There were a few details I had trouble buying into and I found the indecisiveness too prevelent. The writing was good and the banter was amusing at times. Overall, a decent story that I had trouble staying interest in. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Great second chance story! Kelly didn't know what was right in front of her for the longest time! She resisted a bit too much but Chriss woke up and finally fought for her :)

Definitely on the look out for future books by this author and I would absolutely recommend this book to all book lovers out there

Friends to lovers!

Kelly was engaged to marry Ray, but Ray was killed. Chris was Ray’s best friend, and Kelly’s friend when the 3 went to school. Chris had a crush on Kelly, but Ray had asked her out first, and so Chris was relegated to being Kelly’s friend as well. Chris moves back home to be near his best friend Kelly when Ray is killed. For 10 years, Kelly and Chris are best friends, until Kelly decides its time to start dating again. Chris’s feelings of love rise to the surface, but he still needs to deal with Ray’s ghost before he can act. Kelly too has to deal with her past and the pain of losing Ray before she can commit to Chris. This is a heartfelt, emotional story with a HEA.

I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers story. I like Kelly and Chris a lot. Their past has their feelings all mixed up and it was fun to see them unravel and acknowledge those feelings. Kelly is the owner of Something Borrowed. With her business being all about weddings she is constantly surrounded by people in love. Her own HEA never happened when her fiance was killed but it's been ten years and she needs to get back out there and live. She soon figures out love might be closer than she thought.

This is a very well done story with great writing and characters. I highly recommend it.

Throughout the entire series, we've seen Kelly and Chris dancing around one another. This was their story and while it was a good story overall, it also felt a little rushed to me.

With all the previous history to work with, it was easy to connect with them both. Chris came across as completely clueless when it came to romance, and his desire for Kelly, which was somewhat unbelievable. Kelly's workaholic nature didn't serve her well in this book, and the situations within the business seemed to take a back seat to everything. However, when the two of them actually got together as a couple, they were actually rather sweet together and balanced each other well.

This was a quick read for me, and a sweet one, but felt a little lacking too.

4.5 stars - Cute and fun with a drop of sadness, a cup of heat and snuck full of heart. Be Mine, Sweetheart is just what I was looking for and it's a friends to lovers story, my favorite kind.

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review

For Kelly Barrow the love business has been good to her. She gets to help others find their happily ever after even though hers didn't pan out. With a love of a wonderful family and a little help from her friends she may have the chance to discover her own fairy tale ending. Be Mine, Sweetheart is a friends to lovers romance. Chris may have been relegated to the friend zone, but he won't take that lying down. Gary has a way of pouring on the charm with a handful of heartache in between.

I really had trouble getting into the book initially and getting caught up in the emotions of the characters. The storyline was good, but it just didn’t stand out in my mind amongst other books in the genre. The blurb was great, but overall the book just fell flat for me.

Overall, Be Mine, Sweetheart was a good story. I liked the fun relationship between Kelly and Chris, but I wasn't a big fan of how their story was told. I would have enjoyed it more without all of the references to Chris's dreams.

I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary copy from NetGalley.

This was a fun and breezy romance. It's part of a series, but the books can be read out of order. Although the characters got a teensy bit annoying (stop living in the past! tell her already!), overall I enjoyed the plot. Kelly and Chris were clearly made for each other, it just took them a while to figure it out.

A great book of friends to lovers. Chris and Kelly have been friends since high school, in fact she was suppose to marry their mutual friend, until he died in the military. For the next ten years Kelly and Chris have been inseparable, but now Chris wants to take their relationship up one notch. But are they both afraid of loosing what they have in their friendship? Kelly is the owner of Something Borrowed, so she is always around the HEA.

A fun read that I had a hard time putting down. Great characters, who would do anything for each other. This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. Loved this series.

Kelly Barrow and Christian Ryan have been friends for a long time. When they were teenagers, Christian approached her and told her, his best friend Ray liked her. She told him to tell Ray to tell her himself. This was the beginning of their friendship. Kelly fell for Ray and a few years later, Ray asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes. Regrettably, the wedding never happened. Ray died while on tour in the middle east, leaving behind Kelly and Christian and their grief.

Fast forward fifteen years and Kelly is the owner of Something Borrowed. She loves her job but she's starting to feel lonely. She's thinking it's time to start dating. She opens a profile on a dating website and to her dismay, her first date is a bust.

Christian is now a successful lawyer. He handles the business contracts for Something Borrowed. He dates but never seems to find the right gal. He's true constant is Kelly. They do everything together. They have movie nights and they text each other constantly. To Christian's surprise, he gets upset when he discovers Kelly is about to start dating again. He doesn't understand his feelings but when the actor Hank Townsend shows a definite interest in Kelly, he can't stand it.

Be Mine, Sweetheart is a Friends to Lovers novel. One that had the right ingredients to make it sweet and sexy at the same time. I enjoyed Kelly and Christian's camaraderie, banter and friendship. I got a kick out of their shock when they realized they wanted more.

I wonder if they'll be another book in this series. I think there's potential for one more couple.

Cliffhanger: No

3.75/5 Fangs

This is a cute friends to lovers book. When Chris was thirteen, he had a crush on Kelly, but didn’t act on it as his best friend Ray asked her out first. The three of them became great friends , and Ray and Kelly become engaged. Ray is killed in combat a few years after high school. Chris moves back home to be near his best friend Kelly. Ten years have past and Kelly is finally starting to date again. Chris begins to realize that perhaps he has more than friendly feelings for his dead best friend’s girlfriend. Both of them have to get past the ghost of Ray to get to their happily ever after. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

This series centers around a wedding planning business called Something Borrowed. The first two stories were about employees of the business. Now we finally get to the story of the owner/founder Kelly. I have to admit, Kelly didn’t really ever give me the warm fuzzy vibe in the other books, regardless of her profession. Happily, getting to know her in this story, she really stole my heart.

Chris is Kelly’s best friend. They’ve actually been friends since 8th grade!!! That’s a long time to be friends with someone regardless of their sex. Turns out, the thing that keeps their friendship strong through the years is also the thing that keeps them at “just friends”. I adore the friends to lovers trope so I thoroughly enjoyed watching Kelly and Chris become aware of each other and their real feelings.

Kelly sometimes tended to twist things Chris said into a pretzel and get mad. That was a bit much and it happened a bit too often. But for his part, Chris did have some kind of wall up whenever things started getting too real. So sometimes I couldn’t blame her for her attitude.

The dreams Chris had in this book were so touching. And (trying not to give too much away) when he had his heart to heart with Mrs. J. I was bawling like a baby. The author definitely was able to squeeze the emotions out of me with this one.

Not only did I cry while reading this story, but I also felt the chemistry. I have no doubt Chris and Kelly were wonderful, platonic friends in the past. But that friend connection seemed to only deepen their sexual chemistry once they stopped fighting their attraction. It was wonderful.

The more I get to know the people in this town the more I want to continue to get to know.

A perfectly woven friends to lovers book with a slightly heart wrenching backstory. And if the ultimate wedding planner doesn't deserve the best happily ever after than I don't know who does.
I will state this is the first book I've read in the series and you can read it as stand alone, obviously you're gonna know who already found their 'one'. Even so, I think I'm going to go back and read how they got there. This book was well written with strong characters and there wasn't too much of could you guys just talk to each other already drama.
