After enjoying the first book of the series, I was excited to read this one. Loveable characters, and a fun story line that kept me entertained.

Poppy McAllister is back, and this time it's her Aunt Ginny who needs her super sleuthing. Poppy is busy transforming her aunt's old Cape May Victorian into a bed and breakfast, and dealing both with the world's worst contractor and a visit from her ex-mother-in-law. Then a strange crime spree breaks out on the block, where the only victims are sugary snacks and kitschy knickknacks. When those break ins are connected with a murder, sleepwalking Aunt Ginny finds herself the target of a murder investigation, head up by a cop who has had it out for Poppy since high school.

This book, like the first in the series, was super fun and a pleasure to read. I did struggle a bit with how willing everyone is to spill their guts to Poppy. She's not a cop, so why is everyone answering her questions? Cape May is still part of Jersey, right? I'm surprised no one has punched her.

Then there's the love triangle. It was the worst part of the first book and it's been dialed up to a million for the sequel. Look, I'm rooting for the hot, sweet Italian. I mean, who isn't? But he's coming on so strong it's *ridiculous.* In the course of the book, he bought her a custom mixer and had an oven installed in his coffee shop just for her. Sorry, but if a guy I've known for a month and am not officially dating does that for me, I'm wondering about the dead bodies he's hiding in the basement because no one is that perfect.

Will I keep reading? Yes. It's still an entertaining series that's well written and with great, complex characters (minus the saintly and hunky Italian). It's by far the best cozy mystery series I've read in a long time. I'm just hoping to see the love triangle resolved sooner rather than later.

I cannot express to you how much I love this series. In this second book of the series (the first being Class Reunions are Murder), we find Poppy McAllister and her Aunt Ginny getting their bed and breakfast ready for their first guests. However, with Poppy’s former mother-in-law, as well as a handyman who thinks he is one of the Three Stooges, in the mix (not to mention an intruder on the loose stealing food and knick-knacks), things are a wee bit tenser than Poppy had anticipated. Not to mention two handsome hunks vying for her attention. As if that’s not enough, when there is a murder, Aunt Ginny comes under suspicion. Poppy must run the B and B with no stove, solve a murder, and stop Aunt Ginny from sawing off her ankle monitoring device.

Love, love, love this series. I gave the first book five stars (which I almost never do) and am now doing the same with this. This one is even better than the first (though I recommend reading the first before this one because there is a first book spoiler toward the end). I loved reading about Aunt Ginny, and cringed with the men because I love them both buy know Poppy will have to choose at some point. There is the perfect balance of dialogue and scene-setting so the reader doesn’t get bored. I HIGHLY recommend this book and this series.

I had read the first book in the series (Class Reunions are Murder) and loved it, so I was very excited to receive an ARC for this book. I found it even more charming than the first, which is saying a lot. Aunt Ginny's high jinks are hilarious, and the mystery is very well crafted. .

This is a delightfully fun cozy mystery. The plot was inventive, the characters likeable, and the setting charming. As much as I love cozies, it's sometimes hard to weed through the not so great ones. But this one was definitely one of the better ones. It was extremely enjoyable, and I will definitely be looking for more from Libby Klein.

Oh. My. Gosh. If I could give this book way more than 5 stars, I would. Laugh out loud hysterical. This book had me giggling the whole way through. The antics of well...everyone, but especially Georgina and Aunt Ginny had me in stitches. I didn't want to put it down, but I didn't want to read it too quickly, either. Great mystery. Very enjoyable book! Seriously cannot wait for the next one!

This is a highly entertaining, fun and upbeat mystery with excellent dialog and an immensely likable cast. After the death of her husband John, Poppy has moved back to her hometown of Cape May to live with her elderly but feisty Aunt Ginny. Together they are turning her large Victorian home into a B and B and are in the midst of renovations. Poppy's former mother in law, Georgina, has made an investment in the B and B and arrives to create chaos by changing everything Poppy has designed. The stress of Georgina's meddling and the ongoing renovations has led to Aunt Ginny's anxiety level increasing so her doctor prescribes two medications which lead to Aunt Ginny's sleepwalking into her neighbor's homes where she eats their sweets and takes a small souvenir. Poppy realizes that her aunt is the neighborhood bandit and gets her medication changed, but meanwhile Boyd, a respected member of the community is murdered by someone following the pattern of Aunt Ginny's escapades. When Ginny is arrested Poppy is forced to suss out the real culprit to save her aunt and their fledgling business. This is an engaging mix of mayhem, murder and some romance. It captivated me from the first page and has me rooting for more adventures with Poppy and company.
